If I won the kit I'd be just getting started in leathercrafting. I've been looking for a craft i can use to make beautiful things without needing a heap of space just to get started (I live in a small flat), and I think leathercraft is going to be my jam.

I have literally been adding tools to my cart over the last 6 months of watching your videos to make this a new thing for me. I taught myself from scratch how to make custom knives and for years have wanted to learn the leather craft ropes just to add to my own abilities, especially during all this downtime locked indoors in California. I love and admire all the things you teach us subscribers in the first place, but winning a small starter kit RIGHT when I'm looking to pull the trigger only gives me that much more love for this learning experience. Since i discovered your work and the leathercraft in general i wanted to start but never could afford it, i started watching and thinking that i could make things i needed like a wallet that would fit my needs, and the fact of making things and working leather makes that i want even more start this craft, anyway thank you for your videos, hope you and your family are safe and healthy in those hard times.
This looks like a cool start and as certain tools wear out you just replace them with higher quality ones. I dig it
I actually repurposed many of the tools I was lucky enough to already own. Like fine clock maker files to rough up the nice surface of the leather. Or metal scribers that work just as well on leather. Or the wing deviders that are used to mark metal as well.
Basically if you're a mechanic or own a good toolbox you have half the tools you need already
I love crafting in general (clay, knitting, am an currently working on my sewing skills), but I've been meaning to get started on leathercraft, mainly due to your wonderful videos. I'm sure with the rest of my hobbies, it'll last a good while, each one being a recurring part of my projects.
I have wanted to get into leather working for a few years now. I love building things and making things with my hands, and the idea of make things out of leather is really appealing to me. I have never done anything with leather, but I have done minor woodworking in my free time for the past few years and am always looking for new projects and skills I can learn.

I got started with this or a very similar kit. Got it for 2019 Christmas, and took a trip to the nearest tandy to get some leather and liquids to start crafting. I've been playing around making my own patterns since January 2020.
I just got into leather craft, started with a bundle of scraps from a hardware store and made a new watch strap for myself as my old one had fallen apart. I've been leather crafting for 4 days. I've made two items. A pen roll, and a wallet for my iPod. Really happy with them, but have learnt a lot immediately! Looking to expand the tool kit and also have tools in the different locations that I travel to and from regularly!

For years I have been considering trying leather work, but life and other priorities got in the way. I really enjoy working with my hands a crafting things. Im a newly graduated nurse and currently my life is all work, especially with the current situation. I'm often so exhausted after work that its hard to do anything but go home, eat dinner, watch Netflix/RUclips and pass out. I would love to have a skill/craft that is fun, simple and that I can do at home, to pull me away from the stress of work and even technology.

You were my intro into leathercraft. Seeing your videos got me inspired to get into this trade. I've been in it for a few months now and have been enjoying it a lot. I don't know if it's something you'd be interested in doing but I would appreciate it if you could show us how you sharpen your tools (edge bevelers, knifes, etc). I've seen multiple videos online but I would appreciate one from you because of the quality/detail you put into your videos.

Very nice work! I recently just developed an interest in leather craft when I bought a leather notebook. I was frustrated with not having a place to store my fountain pen with the notebook and was looking all around on the internet to find a solution. I saw a really clever pen holder design and thought “you know what I could do this myself and get exactly what I want.” I also would like to make some nice items like the flap wallet you showed here for my kids so they can have something nice that was made with love. I sew everyday and would love to add leatherwork into my sewing projects. I have an industrial straight stitch that can handle leather very well. I’ve been disabled for 5 years and try to make ends meet with crafts. I would be extremely grateful to win. You truly teach inspiration in all your videos.
Was super interested in leather crafting and I even took a few classes that was about two months! While it was really basic, I ended up making a leather backpack out of the things I learned!! I'd love to continue but it's definitely a pricier hobby, though, very rewarding! I did a basic leather coaster in 7th grade YEARS ago...lol I'm 55 now and looked at getting some tools for Christmas, wife didn't get the hint and I figured I could wait. When I was 13 I had a leather making kit and enjoyed. It now 20+ years latter and disabled I have been sewing some masks for my friends who are still working. I have an older Singer Sewing machine and was reading where they do well sewing leather so I am going to start a new hobby as I need something to do and maybe it will turning into additional income.. I have always found leathercraft to be interesting. To see a piece of leather go from a sheet into a beautiful, handcrafted piece of art is truly amazing. The first thing I would attempt to craft would be a wallet for my dad. He is a nurse and has been pretty stressed out with everything going on in the hospitals due to covid. His birthday is coming up soon and I want to be able to do something for him even though I cannot really go out during this time.

I've started researching about leathercraft for about 3months now. I'm very meticulous when it comes to my minimalist wallets and camera straps so I thought why not make my own? So I started watching videos on youtube on how to make my own, and good thing that I've learned from you first. It's not the tools that makes the best wallet but the passion of the crafter that made every stitch and every cut special.
My mother took me to a leather craft class many many years ago. My brother and I received belts from santa claus that year..... Over the years her tools have found the black hole of lost goods. Watching these videos has brought back those good memories, the smell of damp leather, the thump of the hammer as it strikes the stamps, sitting at the vise and using files to shape nail heads into new leather stamps ..... Now that my wife and I are raising our grandchildren winning this kit would allow us to share the experience of leather crafting with them and see if they too find it as enjoyable as I did.

I am new to leather craft. I’ve watched all your videos 2-3 times and made an Amazon list of things I need to start. I contacted Acadia leathers to get one of their “less nice looking” leather for a discount to start practicing. But that little kit would really help to start small (wallets, keychain, etc)
Great work man! I'm a wood crafter mostly now, but I did a little leather craft back in the day. I have been thinking about getting back into as I loved it when I worked in it before. I have not crafted with leather but I have always loved wood working and metal working but have found those hard hobbies to have in my living situation but since I found your channel I have been itching to get into leather working. It seems like a perfect hobby for me and would be much easier to do at home than working with wood or metal would.

I just got into leather crafting around a month ago and Ive been enjoying it so for I’ve made a few wallets but they haven’t be very good. I don’t have many tools I’m using a fork a nail and a steel hammer to punch holes and it’s just not going as clean as I’d like. I think this kit would help me out making it easier to do. i have 0 knowledge of leather crafting but i would like to start,i watch alot of beautiful leather work in pinterest and i feel so amazed.i think it will help my mind to relax and do something nice!
I’ve been thinking about trying leather crafting. I’m a hobby woodworker and have dabbled in and will restart my interest in blacksmithing. Getting my hands on this starting kit sure would be another fun thing to do.
I've been watching your videos for a long time with the intention to try to start leathercraft myself. I've browsed many times on amazon but I've never got around to purchasing a kit! I would like to get to the point where it would be a hobby and eventually start selling items at local markets and see where it takes me.
I’m new to the craft, 1 month in. I would use this kit to take over... but mostly to stay busy during quarantine and perfect the craft! ✌️🙏
