I’ve seen it a few times at that price on Walmarts website. I never bought it but I got the longer purple one. The Reflex B I bought in 2019 it is still one of my all-time favorite RC and I have over 20 and have owned maybe 40. I changed the wheels on the reflects immediately though and it made it 1 million times better.
The AE is my favorite 1/14 what I like about the WLtoys are all the aftermarket hop up. The purple one 1/12 I have under construction with all aluminum parts. Its just fun building them and they look cool with the all aluminum stuff.
One thing you will find is that the diffs come with very little grease in them, so really pack them up. Change the rear shock oil to 50 or 60wt, as the weight of the 550 motor adds a lot of weight to the rear end, causing it to chassis slap a lot. On the whole, they're great little buggies though.
Very true! After running this car about 3 times I opened the diff and found very little grease. Added some grease and good to go! Best bang for the buck!
Thanks for the comment, really appreciate it. I bought this house about a year ago and it was nothing but dirt. Had plans for a outdoor kitchen and a little koi pond and priced it out. 60K I was like OK never mind lol. I’ve been in the RC hobby since the late 80s and earlier this year my 12 year old son showed interest in the hobby. I got him a Tamiya TT-02 kit and he’s been hooked. So that’s how the track was born. Great way to bond with my son and get him off the screen. Now his screen time is all about RC stuff lol thanks again and I hope you like my other videos.
That's great. Yes I do like your videos. As for your yard I wish it was mine. :) Keeping up a yard after you invest a fortune into it is also expensive and in my state water is super expensive. I have a small yard with a pool and that's nice too when it's in the triple digits. Unfortunately as we get older and the kids move out a pool is hardly used. If I was single I would transform my yard into a track. lol It's awesome you got your son involved and the Tamiya was a good first choice. I'm really new to the hobby but go all in for an old retired guy. Lot's of fun even at the bench working on cars. I'll be watching your channel. Take care. @@HighResistanceRC-id4mx

Thanks!! 144001 has been really good. I have a project build I’m working on. It’s a carbon fiber and all metal parts 144001. I’ve been just ordering part by part, no kit. Please like and subscribe. That video is in the works so don’t miss out.
The WL Toys 144001 is a budget-priced clone of the LC Racing EMB-1. You can fins parts that work for both, I'm digging the Phat Bodies ATAK. It looks sick on there.
This one is my favorite of the WLtoys I just got a brushless one and I’m building a carbon fiber chassis with all metal parts. Just waiting for the rain to stop so we can work on the backyard track and make more videos
Getting triple digits with my 144001 with a brushless motor and esc upgrade. I can have ANY part on my doorstep in 3 to 5 days. Ebay has everything you need. I have several 10th and 8th scale but these little guys get run the most
Yeah these WLtoys are great because there are so many possibilities. Lots of options for parts and upgrades at a low cost. eBay, Amazon and even Walmart have things for this. I have a full metal and carbon fiber project in progress right now. The video is also in progress. Thanks for watching and commenting. Please subscribe like and share. Stay tuned for more great videos
@HighResistanceRC-id4mx you have a new subscriber now. How are the plastic gears holding up in the TA reflex ? I did not purchase one for this reason but went with wltoys instead. I have the 18th, 14th, and 2 12th scale wltoys buggies at 91mph and up past triple digits.
@@brandonwynn9801 thanks for the subscribe. I haven’t had any issues with the plastic gear in the diff but had to replace 2 spur gears. The reflex is super durable and light. I’m about to upload a video on the 124019 WLtoys soon and I also have the 1/14 amoril. Going to do a battle of the 1/14 video with reflex amoril and WLtoys 144001.
Don’t get me wrong, if you can find it under 100 bucks it’s worth it. The car is fun to drive and with a few up grades it’s pretty durable. Speaking of up grades there are so many parts for this car. I’m actually working on a carbon fiber chassis with all metal parts. Subscribe and check out the video of it when it’s done. It’s a fun and cool build
One of the best if not the best bang for buck buggy on the planet. Tons of upgrades, loads of different driving styles. Truly Amazing...Fact!

What shock oil to front?
@@piotrbiernacki9620 I don’t know what comes in it from the factory but I serviced the shocks and put 25wt oil. It works perfectly.
