Reality at its finest. Some people just hate the truth when it is referred to those that are aligned with oppression and ignorance. Reading history helps
No shit, when I say "excuse me", the other person gets either visibly startled, defensive, or just plain tunes me out. Everyone gets one "excuse me". Failure to get out of my way after that results in a physical removal from my path.
Same! I prefer to feel invisible. I'll wait a long time even if I don't have to, simply because I don't wanna talk to anyone cause then I'd be noticed.
I find it interesting it’s mostly African AMERICAN people considering it’s all the other races who are seeing the brunt of it, especially since 9/11, COVID, and the border crisis I’d even go as far as to say the racism towards white people from Black people is worse than the supposed generalized racism towards Black people that is being implied here
I'm literally traveling abroad in Ghana to visit my Father's hometown where he grew up. On the way, we visited the Cape Coast and Elmina Castles where a lot of the Transatlantic Slave trade took place. Even the tour guides there said that the majority of the slaves traded there were from Slave merchants and tribes that had been conquered and traded by other African tribes from the Northern parts of Africa.
Yeah, "Diversity Hire" should be offensive. That's why we should outlaw hiring people on the basis of race. Why are they asking for us to disclose our race in job applications? What business is it to them?
Only thing for race should be outside stuff because they physically get cancer less. If two were the same apart from race id hire the black guy so the other diesnt get cancer
I feel like for the fat thing, you could actually make a pretty solid argument for why being pro-obesity can be pro-racism somehow. Like, you might be able to convince someone who's hyper woke that being supportive of the pro fat movement could simply be a symptom of white supremacy. To these super left-leaning people, they tend to identify everything that can negatively affect black people as an example of racism. To me, I could say that: because black people have a history of slavery and experienced very real anti-black legislation that resulted in their communities living in high levels of poverty even today, their lack of socioeconomic mobility, social class, and living areas have primarily exposed them to sources of food that promote obesity and physical stagnation. Poorer areas mainly having access to places like McDonald's, Carl's Jr., and Wendy's have worked to decrease black people's physical health and make it harder for them to achieve economic success. I would be curious as to what a far-leftist would even say to this.
Underrated comment. And I absolutely guarantee the same woman who was complaining about "white people" not saying excuse me when they want to get past her would be calling them racists if they did. Heads I win, tails you lose.
It's just scary for me overall lol and you can call me crazy but I don't really wanna bother anyone even if I'm just saying excuse me. But yk, I'll have to say it from now on.

Paid is right. You see the paintings in the background, right? I'll bet those are for sale. And she also said people should pay for the *content* they view...so she's talking about herself...her content. It's a grift, through and through.
Of course. Why do you think she's so concerned about race baiters, grifters and hustlers? She's being called out for what she does and the way she acts and she's arguing that she isn't the one doing wrong. She's trying to silence her critics by calling them racist. The problem is how many are fooled by her bs.

I would really love to see a video of Samyra Miller breaking down how she has personally been oppressed based on her race or body type. I went to high school with her and she comes from a very wealthy family with a lawyer as a mother, not to mention she was allowed to join the football team even though she never played because she managed to guilt my school into letting her be a player so she could put it on her resume to get into Harvard, which she did. It’s people like this who’ve deluded themselves into thinking they are truly an oppressed group that concern me, because she is legitimately one of the most privileged people I’ve ever interacted with in my life.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it’s because of the freedoms America gives you that allows you to speak your mind and say what you want to say. People complain about having no freedoms here but they’re allowed to say horrible things and not get arrested. More than I can say for some countries.
True, but I would speculate the people who claim they have no freedom have never been outside of the USA or other countries with similar freedoms (or not in a tourist town) . Even in places that are "free" like in the South American countries have less abilities to do things. Poverty here is nothing like it is there, The homeless must rely on the kindness of others. They typically do not have food pantries or shelters. A lot of women with 3-4 children living on the streets, begging for money. Disabled people must do the same. They don't have a government disability fund like we do in the USA. You don't have the freedom to drink a glass of water out of the tap in most places because the gov t doesn't put water purification systems in to make the water safe to drink. You have to buy water and a lot of it comes in those big water cooler jugs minus the water cooler. My family is on the lower income side in the USA. We are not homeless, but we struggle. When my kids would complain about never having the money to do fun things or go on vacations, I remind them that we are some of the richest people in the world of 7+/- billion people in the world!
@@creatornation4460 you answer truly resonates with me bc were have been to deep areas of south America and have seen 1st hand the poverty 😢 There are a lot of people here in the USA that have no clue just how good they have it. This is just as wild as a RUclips vid I saw earlier about these black people claiming Filipinos from the Philippines are black. Im half black&filipino and I’m done with this generation trying to “black wash” everything and always being a victim playing the race card and claiming everything was “stolen” from black people 😐

Yes, I am afraid of saying excuse me to black women. They scare me and I’ve gotten verbally assaulted for doing so. So now I just stand there until they realize they’re in the way. I’m not getting yelled at in a Target because they hate me for existing.
The first girl..she made a tiktok a while back asking "why can't white people leave black people alone" (don't know if that vid is still up). In the TikTok, she was basically telling white people to leave her and other black people alone, to stop watching/commenting on her videos and mind their own business. Funny thing is, most if not all of her tiktoks are about or addressed to white people.
I just force my way through, and as I walk away I speak loudly enough for them to hear my opinions on how stupid they are for standing around blocking everything like pieces of trash.
You obviously have to be carrying a pen and paper to write it down or use the notes app on your phone to then show it to them. Oh and while you're at it, you should actually give your phone to them so they can sell it and that money will then be considered your daily payment of reparations, but only just barely, do remember that you are still inherently racist and should feel guilty no matter what you do. Or something along those lines I guess🤷♂
As a white person in the US, all I wonder is how it ever got this bad. Growing up in the 2000s, everyone treated eachother equally, more or less. I didn't notice everything getting so political/ethical/racially sensitive until like the late 2010s and now it feels like we haven't been this divided since the segregation era. Maybe that's the true power of social media, everyone just says what they think with no filter and then everyone feels like they're being attacked by random strangers
That's exactly how I feel. Growing up in the early 2000s, race relations seemed pretty good, but now it's just dropped off a cliff lmao it's part of just a general insanity that's overtaking everything 😂😂😅😮💨😮💨😮💨
I have been wondering the same thing! For a minute I thought I made up stuff in my head that I know I researched just to find out myself when younger. I feel it started more so in Obama's last term of presidency, you know when all the statues from the Civil War was suddenly offensive instead of a marker to show just how far we had come.
I love it when people act like academic snobs while also being ignorant in the age information and they lack critical thinking skills. Woke doesn't mean you are awake it means you are fast asleep while the world gets destroyed around you.
For sure. Woke at one time meant "in the know" but it has been turned on it's head to mean "I don't know WTF I'm talking about but I'm gonna force it down your throat anyway in all its nonsense".
I was raised in the rural South. My parents were both openly racist. One Thanksgiving I got tired of my mom using the N word and asked her to stop. She reached over the table and open hand slapped me, and screamed that I should never tell her what she could or couldnt say. I got kicked out of the house for a week and had to beg a friend for a place to sleep. Now I work in a place with a lot of black folks, and hear the word tossed around casually (and in anger) a hundred Times a day. I've heard the social psychology behind black folks using the word. But I still dont get it. I also work with Asians, Pacific Islanders, Eastern Indians and Arabic folks. And not once have I ever heard them refer to their own people with a slang insult. Black folks are the only ones who seem to do this. It makes no sense to me. How can you have so little respect for your own people that you refer to them with a pejorative all the time? And how can you convince the world that this is the worst thing you can be called, when you call each other by this word? There are around 270,000 words in the English dictionary. 47,000 of them are considered obsolete, with hundreds disappearing from our language every year. The N word should have died by social attrition years ago. As long as you use this word in reference to your own race, you will always project a stigma of being "less than". You are not. So dont use it.
It’s just fake outrage. They are not fooling anyone. It’s also a great excuse to use violence on that person that said the word. They applaud that and find it justified. To beat someone up over a word. Sad really. But not surprising.
I felt quite offended. I'm white but the life of my ancestors is not all sunshine and rainbows. My Irish ancestors came to America escaping famine and were most likely not treated well even in America. Some of my British ancestors came over escaping religious persecution. Even recently. My grandpa grew up poor, and he still continues his excessively thrifty habits to this day. My mom and dad started out with very little in their early 20s and already had a kid to take care of. For a time they were living on government food, and they had to work hard to get where they are today. We live comfortably now, which is the reward of the work that my parents, not anyone else before us exploiting black people for profit, achieved. So my pasty white little fingers are gonna keep typing, cause we all got it pretty good nowadays, and that goes across the board in terms of race and nationality. we just don't realize it
I'm a white person. I've been taking care of the sick elderly and infermed of all races classes and creeds my whole life..for free..what's that worth in her paradigm?
I'm a black man. I once worked at a mental health hospital part time on a college work study program. Had one of the in patients one day yell a bunch of racial epitaphs at me. I laughed at him... You’re attributing that to yourself, not others. To call a black person lazy is to perpetuate stereotypes and make people think that so they don’t get hired or don’t get promoted.
The TikTok lady who screamed about “being allowed to speak to me” might be the reason someone is actually AFRAID to say “excuse me” and just stand behind you quietly???
Even here in Africa we never admit we have bad leaders. We just blame everything on the West and colonialism. We literally can do anything except being accountable.
Not really all of us. The government and pretty corrupt and we VERY much know that. When people refer to colonialism, it's probably bc many countries got freedom in the past 50-70 years, so it was a problem longer. But we know the government issues😂
damn had no idea I believed white supremacist ideologies my whole life when I was a teen idolizing LeVar Burton, Uncle Phil, Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Rihanna, Berry Gordy, Fredrick Douglass, Oprah, Morgan Freeman, Chuck Berry, Obama. can't believe I thought I was superior to them this whole time and just didn't know it.
And she describes people who are apparently standing somewhere, hoping someone will move to allow them to pass, but too afraid to say "excuse me" to ask them to move. She doesn't even seem to be accusing them of rudeness, but just being afraid to speak.
I’ve had people respond rudely to me saying excuse me when I’m trying to get past them often enough that yes, I’d rather wait and hope they move without my anxious self having to interact with anyone
Whatever you do or say you will be wrong. If you are white. So don't worry. Just be kind and considerate to all, and if they have a problem then let them marinate in their own hate. It has nothing to do with you.
And you know that means she sees people...obviously at a grocery store, are WAITING PATEINTLY for her to move, and she sees that and INTENTIONALLY doesn't move. I mean...these little passive aggressive games with random strangers is crazy.
I was in Israel in '94, just as they were bringing in thousands of Ethiopians who had finally been acknowledged as Jewish. It was almost comical because the Ethiopians were so British/polite, and the Israeli society is so middle-eastern/aggressive. These poor black Jews were waiting patiently in line, while the local Israelis and Arabs would 'form a triangle' 😂
Fortunately the vast majority of people get along....the black people I know are kind, lovely, giving people...and I feel blessed to know them. I can't imagine being the type of person who lives their life full of hostility and distrust.
True! Wow though, social media offers a window into some fractured thinking. Hopefully only a very small sample of humanity. Love the gal on this channel! 💯
Being passive aggressive to people you perceive as racist isn't going to change their minds. What do these people think they're accomplishing making these videos
I am waiting and not saying "excuse me" because you're having a conversation with your friend and I don't want to interrupt. So "excuse me" for being polite.
Exactly, if someone just stands there, they are either being polite or are too scared to say something. That's anything but being rude. Of course the tiktoker doesn't think standing in someone's way, knowing they are waiting for you to move and choosing to be rude, isn't actually rude
If someone is scared to say "excuse me", he is most probably shy to interrupt or suffers from social anxiety. Who's the rude one between him and the one criticising him for that?
Ok, the lady that brings up wyt people not saying excuse me, but rather waiting for people to move...this type of shyt makes me know that there is a segment of blk people that really do play passive aggressive games with random wyt people. I'm from a blk city, and I always had BW intentionally try to stand in my way when they already saw me coming and other weird shyt 24/7...this confirms the game playing.
I am on tiktok. My "for you" section shows me music, comedy, food, foraging and MH videos. None of these crazy people Ever showed up in my recommendations
I’m Hispanic but I find it hard to say excuse me because of my crippling social anxiety. Most of the time I find myself freezing up before I can even open my mouth
Sounds like youre missing a philosophy to live by. You just gotta realize that life is what you make it, and it's best to make use of the time you have in it. Being anxious about something as small as that is indeed crippling your life experience.
I feeeel like even that woman knows that those words aren't the same thing because she actually censors herself by saying "the n-word" but just says the other words flat out.... as if they aren't as bad, maybe? 😂

I don’t agree with the people featured in these videos by any means but I think you guys are missing the point. I’ve had many instances, my job for example, where I was in a confrontation and was very calm. However, I was described as angry and aggressive when I absolutely wasn’t and had co workers to back me up. It does happen. I know it’s easy to dismiss these people and yes they’re being over dramatic but that doesn’t mean people don’t use those words to be subtly prejudiced towards black people.
Sometimes yes, you'll never watch/see people again and you don't have to care about someone yelling OPINIONS online. I get what you're saying, but it's kinda saying you agree with stereotypes bc of confirmation bias of people online. Just ignore some people, no matter who they are❤

True story: I was raised to say "excuse me" and "pardon me" when moving around people. When I was in middle school, in the 90s, I would say "pardon me/excuse me" as I moved through crowds on my way to the next class. A teacher saw this and had me called in to speak with the counselor because they were concerned I was talking to myself. They barely even believed me when I told the truth and threatened to make me see a psychiatrist (at my parents' expense, of course - a threat they later followed through with).
Plot twist: that's your memory of the situation, but the teachers just watched you walk through a completely empty hall way saying "excuse me, pardon me"
Yeah, as a teacher, I have to seriously question this. Teachers do not refer students to a psychiatrist/psychologist for talking to yourself. In reality, many people talk to themselves at one time or another. IF you were referred, it was for something other than that. And that is a big "IF."

On the "excuse me" subject, I was actually taught that saying that indicated impatience and that it was more polite to quietly wait without making a fuss or drawing attention to yourself. I was taught that speaking up, even to say excuse me, was interrupting someone else in what they were doing and that that implied you thought of yourself as more important than them... Assuming the worst or that people are being intentionally rude is very unkind.

First of all, not ALL Africans or "blacks" were slaves in this country, even upon its inception. Thousands of us were also slave owners.
But majority of us that became slave owners was to buy and free our families. We could only do that if we became slave owners
Thank you! Not enough know about this, I learned there were over 3,000 black slave _owners_ from Thomas Sowell, but it should be taught in school!
absolutely true actually the first wave owner in America was a black man it was all over a property disputed
Not all Africans are black either
Yeah, "Diversity Hire" should be offensive. That's why we should outlaw hiring people on the basis of race. Why are they asking for us to disclose our race in job applications? What business is it to them?
100% agree with you
Only thing for race should be outside stuff because they physically get cancer less. If two were the same apart from race id hire the black guy so the other diesnt get cancer
Exactly. My work ethic and license should be the reason I get the job as a nurse, not because I’m Mexican.

Many people who wait quietly rather than say "excuse me" have been screamed at for saying, "Excuse me."

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it’s because of the freedoms America gives you that allows you to speak your mind and say what you want to say. People complain about having no freedoms here but they’re allowed to say horrible things and not get arrested. More than I can say for some countries.
like what type of freedom does these people do not have right now in America
I'd say we have too many freedoms.

My ancestors literally died fighting to end slavery in this country but they like ignore that
I was raised in the rural South.
Thank you, that is exactly how I feel about that word. Hard to see it as a bad word, when they use it for each other.
Spot on! It makes absolutely no sense to me either 🤓🤔😉

The first lady is the only person who's connecting these negative words with being black.
Thry were the crazy ones. WTF???
Plot twist: that's your memory of the situation, but the teachers just watched you walk through a completely empty hall way saying "excuse me, pardon me"
What ?! That's crazy.
Yeah, as a teacher, I have to seriously question this. Teachers do not refer students to a psychiatrist/psychologist for talking to yourself. In reality, many people talk to themselves at one time or another. IF you were referred, it was for something other than that. And that is a big "IF."
@@agm97ga This isn't the '90s and I could care less what you think happens at schools, I'm here to tell you what did happen. The stigma against mental illness isn't what it was 35 years ago.
Pretty sure the last woman paused so much because she was so angry her brain started buffering.
If their house is burning down or if they are having a heart attack, do they have to be asked permission for a white fireman or white EMT 12:33 to come to their aid??
Good on you Ms.Ekpunobi, very good work indeed. Cheers from Texas.
Hi from Compton California love your show
I miss Compton. 👊🏼 I used to stop by Louisiana chicken on Wilmington and Alondra.
Your wording is always so ON! Some of these clips just blow my mind. Thanks for your daily work 💕
After June 19, 1865 (Juneteenth) there were still some black slaves in the USA for another six months. And afterwards black soldiers were helping exterminate various native American peoples. How dare there be a celebration for the ending of slavery on Juneteenth, and when will Black America pay reparations for their crimes against the native population? /endcharicature
Natives Americans help enslave black people. Question. What military power did black Americans control during that time. U so in love with white people that u don’t recognize they killed your people crazy 😂
By the way. Juneteenth is a celebration for our so called freedom that was over hundreds of years. Can u say the same. 🤔
@@lilpjay214 no... can you be clearer about what you mean because I have no idea what 'a celebration for our so called freedom that was over hundreds of years' is trying to express so can't work out what I could possibly say in reply. Do you mean Juneteenth was celebrate before 4th July? Or is a celebration that lasts hundreds of years? And what has it got to do with parodying the ridiculous attitude that independance day can't be celebrated because bad things were still happening after 1776?
I just love ya, Amala! Please keep doing what you do. I would like to see a rational, calm in-person discussion between yourself and any of these ladies you just showed today. Maybe they can unlearn to learn.
This is hilarious! I said "excuse me" to a black man who turned and called me racist for saying "excuse me." Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Using hate to make money is soooo 2014, these chicks are a decade late!
i’m convinced that people think if they talk in a stern voice that they’re right and people must listen to them
victimhood and selfhate at it's finest, these individuals make it their entire personality.
kanye said it best back then.
great content as always.
bless
I’m white and people don’t say “excuse me” very often.
I feel sorry for these people that have so much hate in their heart. It must be awful to live that way.
Its not new and sadly it will never go away.
11:53 - I don't say excuse me all the time- esp at the grocery store I usually give ppl about 15 seconds to pick their thing without losing concentration 😂 and then if they take too long ill say excuse me can I sneak by - and profusely apologize for interrupting someone picking their beans or cereal - but I'm weird so
Love your channel, Amala. You and YinkaThatGuy are the voices of common sense amid the insidious woke outrage grifting perpetual victim nonsense of today's society
you should try misha petrov! she also shares her opinions about this kind of thing :)
@wowwhatausername3703 thanks I'll check out her channel
I don’t say “excuse me” because it’s a command and I don’t want to be commanding people to get out of my way.
I ask “can I squeeze past you quick?”
It’s just me & my weirdness.
Also, I have never owned slaves. My ancestors never owned slaves. We only got here in the early 1860s.
My GGGF fought for the union in the civil war. He was fresh off the boat from Ireland. I have no white guilt to feel guilty for.
I’m an equally opportunity hater, I hate everyone equally.
I thought I was pretty non-racist, till all these people started telling me how horrible I am for being White, they started changing my childhood animated cartoon to fit them and still telling me I am bad!!! You ma'am are the problem as you can't leave history in the past! These people just makes me so mad.😡
Okay that second lady makes me want to go comment on her page. 😁
I know how to say excuse me. Don't be lumping me in with others!🤷
Love your content! ❤️
I'm a black man. I once worked at a mental health hospital part time on a college work study program. Had one of the in patients one day yell a bunch of racial epitaphs at me. I laughed at him... I got to go home and he didn't
The point is, we got a lot of people walking the streets with mental health problems just like that guy I laughed at. While it might surprise you to hear things like this, just remember, some of us ain't got it all together. So just laugh at it and move on.
Thank you for continuing to shine a light on this racism and extremism
Thank you Amala. You always bring alot of common sense in a world of crazy.
Im not responsible for what my ancestors did so my view is she needs to grow up this is 2024 not the dark ages
No one is responsible, that doesn’t mean the collection of events hasn’t made their lives harder
@@chrisallison9151 yeah well don't take your hatred out on me because your ancestors was treated super shiitty . You know when you look at how Jews was treated I think Jews should have more of a reason to hate white people or any one of German descent. The Jews had it worse the africans didn't have it no where as bad yeah some died but at least most had there lives I guarantee more Jews died at the hands of white people than the African . And they don't blame my ancestors like the africans do.
I hope this doesn't come off a weird, but I want to pay you an honest compliment. You are one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen. I don't just mean that with your looks either. You seem to have a high level of empathy, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and grace in the way you act. When I see you speak, move, and the facial expressions you use, I can tell I can tell you are a very kind hearted person. I am also very much enjoying your critical analysis of an otherwise harsh topic.
They think we “consume” their w0ke content 😂
Hate is baggage it’s just not worth it
My take - if you don't love our country, I'm sure we will all be happy to chip in and buy you a ticket to a place of your choosing. These people are really self-important to be so, um, not very smart.
Who’s our?
I would like more information on the “excuse me” video. Because depending on the situation someone may feel it is rude a do not want to interrupt and therefore are happy to wait . Also there are some black people that would take offense and feel that the person saying excuse is in fact being rude. This seems like a no win scenario here 🤷♀️?
7:45 every person's skin color is a version of brown. It just depends how much melanin you have. So, feel free to comment if your skin is brown
Legit I turn mostly brown with just small patches of pink by the end of summer on account of freckling so much😂😂😂
For that video lady...I'm multiracial (including Black, Mexican, Irish, German, and Indigenous) and look like a white lady. Do I have to ask your permission to speak? If so, I won't ask to say suck it.
Yeah even whites have pigment. And what about people with vitiligo and albinism?
Albinos are more pink than brown.
@@callinlikeIseeitbsbeing Irish or German isn’t a race, it’s a nationality
I do wish these silly people would get over themselves, it’s ridiculous how they keep on and on and on, it’s tiring we’re bored with it now
When I am standing behind someone and waiting until my turn. I am in no hurry and don't want to rush people. It is not that I don't have the balls to say excuse me, just that I am calm and relax.
I have anxiety so I often wait. Our local store is tiny so I just stop when people stop to gawk at stuff. It's hard to pass them.
The Fourth of July is not about celebrating slavery, it's about celebrating the independence of the colonies from the British. The slaves wouldn't have eventually gotten their freedom in America if the colonists hadn't gotten their freedom first.
She went from helping black businesses to bankruptcy ...talk about gaslighting😂
Amala should invite these people on her show for a debate
No one is listening to people like this at this point. Everyone is annoyed and exhausted. Boy who cried wolf.
