This may look silly. But I'd be happy to go through this to learn to use a work to perfection. You can cook some amazing and easy dishes in a wok. And as a bachelor it's awesome hearse it's an all one pan recipe. Easy cleaning in the end.

The strength it takes to hold a chef's wok with one hand is already great, and to toss it for hours in a restaurant? This is definitely the proper training needed. I have a wok at home and regularly cook with it, and its tiring to lug around and clean and cook everyday.
you don't need to lift it in most occassion aside from when you are taking it off the stove for platting. The key is the amount of power you put out when you pull and push with the laddle, the rest you just let the wok sit on the edge of the stove. It is tricky at first but once you get the hang of it, it's like riding bicycle. I practice with rice on my first job

This is actually just level 1 of the wok training. When you reach higher levels, you do these exercises with gold pellets on the wok and underwater while strapping additional weights on your wrist.
With a wok of that size? They are quite heavy, so without the proper technique and also physical workout you couldn't really do it, especially not the whole day.

I was given a slice of Bread to flip at first, after that it was grains until my Teacher was sure i wouldn't throw everything away while cooking. Best way to learn, simple as that.
I work on a wok 55 hours a week going on 3 years now. We all tried to curl a 5 gallon bucket of sesame sauce and i could only do it with the arm that tossed the wok the most. That cast iron is no joke.
I worked a wok years ago working summers and weekends for a catering company during college. I’m a righty but during that time I was curling more with my left arm than my right arm. Mad props to anyone who can do this as a full time job
