A great project for the whole family!! Interesting plane to model, it looks pretty good. I hope the elevator stays in place as the glue expands. You may have to double up the ribs, or add more when sheathing the outer shell. Good work, nice to see everyone.
    AirHammer out!!

Thanks buddy!! That elevator is locked in now 😁. That was my worry as well especially since I couldn’t get my cans up there to hold it down 🤣. I plan to carve some depron to go above and below the horizontal stab in the openings. I’m thinking that’ll take care of any issues.

Sweet! I like your method of a cental "spine" and former halves glued to that. It's fun how we all can come up with our methods of measurements, I personally like to blow up a 3 view on my PC screen, take measurements in mm with a ruler or calipers- then I come up with a "multiplier" once I determine the winspan desired, and just use that multiplier for all pieces of the plans. Have you worked with depron? I bought a big case, and am liking it quite well, but it;s trickier to bend and form. Good luck and looking forward to more. The MU2 is so COOL..I used to park them at the FBO where I worked, noisy suckers, haha! Always wished someone would make a kit or BNF...

Thank you!! I always wanted to build a model this way. Guess we will find out lol. I wish I had a computer to do your method but all we have is our phones and a 12 year old computer lol. But everything seems to be somewhat proportional so far 😬. I have not built an entire plane with depron but this plane will have some depron parts mostly in places I need to carve rounded edges (ie the nose cone cowl and wing tips). It’s surely a neart plane!! What FBO did you work at if you don’t mind me asking? And yes those Garrett’s are loud freaking engines!!! And they seemed louder on the MU2 for some reason. Once this model gets flying maybe we will discover why someone have never made a kit for the MU2 🤣🤣🤣.

@@thercjetjock6571 yeah, only thing I PC for is just to measure a drawing, I don't have ability for CAD, so like you it's "looks about right" method, LOL! I worked for Harbour air in Traverse City many years ago. A cool older gentleman from Texas flew in regularly. He could feather the props for reverse, but it was never enough to back it in the space without my pushing hard on the nose..if I didn't have hearing protection it would have been brutal! what motors are you going with, will it be 6S ?

The pilot told me it glides like a brick, haha! But if you keep wing loading low, I'm sure it will be great -:)

@@tomheetderks9997 Ah yes the TLAR method. An old flight instructor taught me that 😉. Wow way up there, I hear that area is absolutely gorgeous !! Texas my home state very cool 😎. Interesting, I do know kingairs can back up, but you’ve gotta be easy on the brakes because they can tip lol.

@@tomheetderks9997 yes I heard the same, but the good runway numbers come from that full span flap!! One of the reasons the FAA required school on the plane even though it was under 12500lbs. It needs to be flown like a jet 😊
