Then he takes a gritty tire and literally spins it on the face of the wheel. Awesome.
I thought the same. came to the comments and boom! I'm not alone.
OMG!!! I actually can't believe he did that
Scritchy, scritchy.... scritchy scratch. I can hear it. 😒
For fk sake...first thing I saw, came to comment and saw yours. And then steel bars against the inside of the wheel bead. OMG...what a joke given title of video. These guys are butchers!!!!
Wish my local garages could see this , at least educate themselves. 👍🏻
Just had ATS damage two wheels today. Looking at this video I can’t understand how they did it. My cars is only 4 months old and the condition of the 19 inch wheels were as good as the day I took delivery, that’s until today:((
The problem isn’t putting it on without scratching it, it’s taking it off without scratching it. Putting it on isn’t easy, taking a run flat tyre off a wheel without scratching it, not so easy
Close, but no cigar. Raw metal clamps are going to leave teeth marks on the inside face, dirty tire being spun on the wheels scratches up the front face, and inside of the rim got gouged up by those tire bars, although that last bit can be forgiven in most cases since it's not visible when mounted.
Get rubber pads for the clamps, use plastic coated tire bars, and clean the tire if you're going from the front for a flawless result, atleast when doing brand new wheels. Though still a better job than a lot of places will do
I expect to spend the evening looking for a method, got what I needed in 60 seconds, thank you.
those metal bars will leave marks on the rim, yeah maybe it's inside but some people care about that.
If you get mad about the inside of your rim getting minor surface scratches honestly you're just an asshole
Yeah, I hope they use handkerchief or some cloth on end of metal bars , I'm mad cuz my motorcycle mags has been scratched, It's not even on the inside but outside. It's a pain in the ass.
Yet he places the tyre on the face of the wheel
Since when does soft rubber scratch metal? 😂
Knob head 🙄
@@v35joeyy When it’s picked up grit from being rolled around a dirty shop floor. It’s inevitable unless you meticulously clean the tread.
OCD
I dont know if you know this but the wind going by your car contains dust and also the road is made of stone that chips off as you hit pot holes and give you aids
I wouldn't be very pleased if I seen my tire guy spinning a dirty old used tire on the face of my brand new wheel.
Ah yes a video about not scratching the wheel while scratching the wheel using tire bars, inside clamp, and tire on the face.
Short and nice.. thumbs up!
Thank you
people are super picky about the tire resting on the face. I understand that. But, it will not show anything as it is a wheel that is going to be pounded by gravel in ten minutes. However, he showed how simple it is to not scratch the outside of the wheel. Really easy apparently! i must have had goons with 30 IQ's doing my last set.
You scratch the wheel finish with grit by placing the tyre directly onto the wheel enamel. Then spin it? Can't do mine like that, matey.
NICE THANKS YOU...
Nice video ! Can you show how to remove a tyre without scratching the rim?
No problem will do 😊
I need new wheels for my car too, ATM I have size 16 on my car but want nice alloys maybe 17 or 18 inch for ford focus 2010?
We haven't got any ford alloys but if we do get it we'll let you know 🙂
Great advice. The only rule I have in addition at our shop is never ever stand a tire on the face of the wheel while applying the tire lube. Since the tires are rubber and roll across the gritty floors, they pickup abrasive material. When a tech places tire on wheel face and spins it to lube both sides, they can severely scratch the face which many times can be more visible than scratching the rim edge. Just a hint what we add to our shop rules. Thanks for posting your video.
What kind of wheels are those ? 🔥
Rotiform blq
Big chunk out of that tyre sidewall.
Awesome work, thanks for sharing
You scratched the rim lol
Nice wheels
U scratched the fuck outa them 😂
lol i tried not too ha ha
you should be pasting the inside of the tire too.
but you scraping the wheel by having the tire on the rim bro
That’s the valve hole
so you spin the tyre on the wheel wtf !!!
My rims hv been f*ucked by losers that cannot even change a tire without gouging it.
You just spun the tire on the new rim... 😠
step 1, buy a $2000 tire machine
u can make money off of it too so it’ll literally pay for itself.
@@dumbeezy5480 I made my own tire changer attachment, I also have a full time job. Hustling on the side is exhausting and ghetto
@@eksine Ghetto? Jobs themselves are slavery. You need to really reevaluate how you view your life and other people.
@@xaviermccloud4586 I could say the same to you. This week I'll be making $1500 pretax, if it's voluntary and I have other options it's not slavery, side hustling is uneccessary for me
@@eksine But you called it ghetto and just because you are satisfied with your pay doesn't mean it isn't slavery. Oh and the ruling class doesn't apply 95% of the time when I comment so carry on. Wypipo am I right?
I wish kwikfit could have done this to mine instead of scratching the shit out of my alloys. Just a bit of TLC
Just had mine alloys scratch by Kwikfit.Had to go there motability car.Cowboys.
What knowledge?? Totally wrong method!!!!
