We lost because by the time we turned our full forces against the forerunners our numbers were already down to a 1/3 of its original size due to the flood and the forerunners who attacked us without even knowing why we destroyed their few planets despite them having over 3 million. So it was numbers that caused us to lose as forerunners had trillions and trillions more and we didn’t even have over 200 000 colonised planets and we had already been depleted. The lore says that Spartan 2's testing the armor showed near perfect synchronization (Meaning that Ancient Humans were more physiologically better than spartan 2's). Also it is also stated that some Spartan IVs were compatible with the armor and could use it, but because their augmentation sets were less potent and thus required modifications to their existing augmentations and a acclimation period to synchronize properly.

    • @SkiniNinja
      @SkiniNinja 7 лет назад +44

      The forerunners are powerful but compared to ancient humanity they are nothing. The reason i say this is because ancient humanity was able to fight a two front war.......a TWO front war on both sides one flood which devoured everything and the forerunners which killed or devolved them. Just the fact they were able to do that for at least (i believe a century or more from how it sounds in the books) is fucking amazing. and during the middle of the war to finally get rid of the flood they sacrificed 1/3 of the population at the time.....not including the amount already lost to the flood which will already lower the population far below the forerunners they still kept fighting. And there capital lasted 50 damn years under siege from forerunner forces which shows they are equal to the forerunners and superior to them since they actually got rid of the flood. (even though the precursors left knowing humanity was now worthy of holding the mantle after showing they were able to create a plan to somewhat defeat the flood) and didn't have to cleanse the galaxy.
      P.S. And i'm sorry my spelling and grammar sucks :(

    Funny thing is that the Covenant most likely is using ancient humanity/San'shyuum techs because we know that the Forerunner doesn't use plasma, most of the weapon we see that belongs to the Forerunners are hard-light based. The San'shyuum met Ancient humans long before the human-flood war and was technologically superior, yet in the final days of the human-forerunner war, the humans were a lot more advanced than the San'shyuum, the ancient human technological growth was very fast. So the relic that the prophets and the Covenant revered engineer from is most likely from ancient san'shyuum or ancient human but they just forgot about it, (both side share technologies)

    Anybody know what the precursors look like?

      Well, the Flood is a derivative of the Precursors, so I can imagine them looking like giant, bizarre humanoid creatures.

      They're kind of bug like, pretty big, four arms and what not. The Primordial is your best bet for what they looked like

      honestly from the books they didn't really have a form in the sense we comprehend it they were more closer to eldritch abominations like Chthulu and whatnot
