Whoa there......many movies absolutely suck because of the actors. Twilight was one of the worst. The remake of Clash of the Titans. Batman & Robin. Battlefield Earth. Showgirls. Alexander. After Earth.
I gotta say most of the episodes of the disney + series have been worse than the movies, acting and script wise, episode 4 wasn't terrible thanks to the percy actor who truly is carrying the series as the other 2 kid actors are not exactly good at acting.
It would be so cool if they gave him a small cameo doing something and he sees Walker swinging Riptide around, but being a mortal, he turns to whoever he’s walking with and goes: “That’s a pen. Do you see that? That is a pen!” The whole “this is a pen” line is one reason he’s so loved as Percy despite the movies’ terrible production
How could they be book accurate when in the first book the 3 main characters are 12 years old? Logan and the others were already too old back when the movie was made
Nahh, they're supposed to appear around 12 years old, but they look over 18. It would be odd to see someone who looks like an 18-year-old behaving like a child. If the movie had been filmed 5 years earlier, when Logan was 12 or 13 years old, it might have been more convincing.
@@Mugetsu2021 I think that was more of a writing issue, not an acting one. Yes she did not resemble book Annabeth, AT ALL. But the way her character was written, like a cross between Annabeth and Clarisse, didn’t give her much room too be like book Annabeth

I don’t totally agree with u on that one everyone has their own opinions but in the books they were 12 so the casting wasn’t completely accurate to the books but I still think Logan was pretty good at playing Percy
@@Kyezowuhmmm did you read the books? It’s incredibly similar - Rick has said he didn’t want it to be the exact same because then you’d just be watching the same thing you read and it would be like “why is it even a thing if you can just read the books”. It is really really similar, with just a few differences. But I don’t think people really expected it to be an exact copy of the books because then it would be boring. It’s clearly just based off the books, and it follows the same storyline.
@@Kyezow Have you even read the books? True, some changes have been made, but most of them are for the better. If you’re trying to defend the movies, I’d recommend doing so after reading the books and rewatching the show.
@@Kyezow The series is very similar! Obviously some adaptations have to be made otherwise it wouldn’t suit the medium, but otherwise it’s quite faithful. Some people refuse to accept that it’s faithful bc they’re pissy about the casting decisions (not saying that’s what ur doing tho) but Rick Riordon himself is heavily supportive of them, and the appearances of characters are certainly not most defining thing about the series.
@@morningglory.2I honesty do not mind the actors being chosen, but some of the changes are not really the best such as Medusa being revealed so quickly, the scene in which Percy becomes known as Poseidon’s son not having the bowing scene which could have give some interesting world building and the Ms Dodds scene which honestly was the most underwhelming. While I don’t hate the series it being a good adaption might not make it a great series if they decide to take stuff which honestly would done good for the it and the changes in itself (except for the Medusa story which I kinda liked) honestly did not do much to improve the series or give it a new lens.
am i one of the only people that actually enjoyed the movies? there were little movies id actually watch as a kid and the Percy Jackson films were one of the few i really liked
Ikr, I feel like going through anything to do with Percy Jackson, ppl say the movies were horrible, and I always don't agree. Well maybe bc I never read the books but the movies were great as a storyline and by itself, if the movies weren't connected to the books maybe it would be more loved. The movies are great and I still love them after rewatching it ❤
As a fan of the books, I absolutely enjoyed the movies. They may not have followed the books word for word, but they used them to establish a foundation and did their own thing with it. Loved the action sequences and the CGI. The movies were definitely their own thing and the show is going to be its own thing, people need to stop being butt-hurt over the silliest of things and just enjoy it for what it is.
I read the books many times and also watched the movies. I love the movies as their own. They are great, really. But they suck as a book adaption. But as their own they are great. So there is nothing wrong in liking the movies. Some people just have a stick up their ass and can't separate the movies from the books.
with that statement from rick i‘m very firm in my belief that no crossover casting will ever occur and going on to fancast logan lerman in various roles isn‘t productive unless rick buries the hatchet and even then i think it‘s just going to lead to a two second cameo at best.
Regardless of rather u like or dislike the movies, they did help people to find out about the books. Some of the times people don't know about the novels until the movies comes out, and I'm one of them. There were also humors in the 1st film I loved which kills me 😅, Grover with Medusa's head "Guys, I can't pee with her watching me" and Persephone "What will u do! I'm already in Hell". The books r better, but those humors and 2 others give the movie some pointers. The others r Percy can heal other with water which he doesn't in the books, and Annabeth explains that the Gods r only deadbeat parents cause of one of Zeus's laws.
I think we can do a cameo of Logan like this. A monster attacks Percy in public, and Percy pulls out Riptide and changes it into sword. Logan can be clear-sighted or he sort of saw through the mist the moment Percy turned his pen into the sword, and then Logan goes "That was a pen, it was a pen" to himself or his friends played by Alexandra and Brandon (Movie Annabeth and Grover). This also can be a tribute to the line "This is a pen", which is the best lines in the movie.
but his hate twards the films is extending twards the actors, who had no fault and tryed their best. it wont hurt anyone to have the movie cast appear for a small scene. they seem to support the children and the children look up to them
@@KyezowWhile I would not say it is terrible,I will say I can kind of see what you mean. The actors while maybe are thought to be the right choice are very undeveloped as actors and have little experience,it does not help that while Rick Riordan might know what he wants he has no experience in the film industry so is not the best when it comes to deciding how they should act or (as he is a writer for the show) what dialogue needs changes in the film and how they would sound when real people act it out and say said lines. The director from my understanding also have not worked with kids to this extent that the show meaning that the kid actors don’t have the best sign of direction as let say someone like Christopher Columbus might have(though Columbus has stated to dislike working with kids). It’s honestly best to wait and give the show a try for at least the 1st season and see where it could go from here.
Yeah, the actors in the show aside from the well known actors are very stiff with delivery and motion. Not to mention the costume design. They couldn't have made Annabeth's armor smaller to not make her look like a fucking idiot??
Well that’s your opinion. There are many people who really like the changes, sets and costumes etc. It’s a mostly subjective thing, you can’t just simply tell people who say they like this series because they like the dialogue that they are wrong. They are just the same amount of wrong as you. @@Kyezow

Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like I just had a stroke of genius in this idea: For whatever book (at least I’m fairly certain, there was a point in time where the story of Perseus was told a bit) the story of Perseus could be shown with a portion of his story portrayed, it would be awesome to have him be the original Perseus for that moment, as a wink.
That’s disgusting, for people to sit there and harass previous actors for a role THEY DIDNT EVEN WANT. it’s pathetic and some people just need to stfu and is never that serious
Logan Lerman 😍😘💘💓💖💗💙wasn't my time but I still have the biggest crush on him since I was about 6 to 8 years old and I still do but now I'm fourteen turning fifteen in October
i think it's really sad how ppl put more weight on the looks of a character being "right" than the actor/actress doing a good job. Unless it's vital to the story - like truly vital - I will not care if the looks from the book or a previous adaptation will be met. Everyone deserves a chance to play a role, regardless of the looks they were born with. If they hit the vibe of the character, they're the right ones.
Someone I know thinks the entire first 2 eps were idiotic and said Luke and Percy's actors should have switched roles. Even when there's evidence Walker Is His Character. And he walk. :3
What made me optimistic is that Rick himself picked and approved the actors. If anyone knows they'd be a good fit, it'd be him. He knows his characters better than anyone else.
People who put so much emphasis on the looks of the characters have clearly also missed the entire point of the Percy Jackson series. The message of the series was that you can accomplish great things no matter what your background is. It would literally be more of a disservice to the books to cast based on physical features instead of casting based on talent.
@@hydragaming4265 why- like why would anyone care? HP is already comparatively divers in the sense that characters of indian or chinese descent attent hogwarts as well as black people. So heritage in that sense is already not important in the story, so it would literally change nothing if Hermione were hispanic (or black or south east asian) for that matter. The only things important to her character are muggle parents who are dentists and other than that her being book smart. Whether her curly hair is important or not you could argue about but the thing with curly hair is that there are enough hispanic, black or south east asian people (just as examples) who have curly hair. So even then it would not matter at all. In the stage play Hermione is also played by a black actress - because she was the best at portraying her and - as controversial as JKR might be - the author herself approved of her portrayal of the character. I really could not care less. And neither should you.
Im still very disappointed in the fans for doing that to Leah. The literal author casts her and says she is perfect as Annabeth and they couldn’t get over her being black. So much so they harrass the CHILD on social media. Her parents must be fuming. The same people who harrasd her is probably now praising her because damn 3 episodes in and its already evident how well she played her character. Im with Rick on this personality is all that should matter. Shame on eveyone who did that to her.
Yeah about that, they aren’t praising it they’re most likely just sitting there being stubborn waiting for it to get worse so they can complain. Although I want accuracy I’ve come to learn that people will complain until it turns out to be good or will just be stubborn. But if it’s bad they’ll rag on any changes harder. And I wasn’t even upset with the movie casting, I was disappointed they didn’t even act like the characters. And that was mostly due to the writing. So far the kids are acting like them but they do need another take in some scenes
Was Annabeth described as black in the books? If she wasn't given a skin description it shouldn't matter if she was black. It should only piss people off they decided to race swap the actor for no reason other than to be diverse.
@@tacotruck5009 she was described as white and blonde. Many times it brings it up because being the "blonde girl" made people doubt her. I think it was for diversity but that's just IMO. Im not really pressed about it
Rick is a sell-out and a hypocrite, seeing as he himself criticizes Alexandra Daddario for not being blond in the OG film. And anyone who says looks don't matter didn't really read the books. Seeing as looks mattered a lot, as each god left distinctive features to their kids. Like crazy smiles from Hermis, stormy gray eyes from Athena, sea-green eyes from Posidion, and so on. The least they could do was CGI or use lenses to give the current actress some mist gray eyes as an indicator that she's the daughter of Athena. As for the blond part, it was part of the character herself, her being blond was why everyone underestimated her intelligence, and she hated that a lot. They really could have made Leah blond and given her storm-grey eyes, and that would have been enough. I don't care if she's black or white, as long as the key features of the character are present. And as for perfect actors, don't know what TV show you were watching, but none of the main cast can act even if their life depended on it. There are no emotions expressed and just looks like a bunch of kids are reciting lines for a school play. The only 2 exceptions are the guy who plays Grover, who is doing a banger job for the character, and the man they picked to be Dionysius, that one acts and perfectly fits for the role.
6:56 yeah that’s not a fair comparison. Walker looked and acted perfect for the role, while Annabeth being black was WILDLY hated on, almost as much as the little mermaid casting! She needed the support
Love the series, love Walker, Arian, and Leah! If I ever had the chance, I would want to tell all of them thank you! I love the books and the show so much!
I'm honestly on Rick's side here. Having any cast members of the movies make celebrity cameos would be too forced and distracting. It's one of the (many) reasons the 2016 _Ghostbusters_ reboot was so grating. Because of the forced celebrity cameos, it just felt like the movie wasn't allowed to be its own thing.
At the end listening to Leah’s statement brought tears to my eyes, this girl will be an inspiration and role model to me and many others for a long time.
Like fr tho, the people who have an issue with Annabeth being black aren't true fans; it's shouldn't matter what they look like as long as they play the role the best they can. And so far she's playing the role perfectly
@@RobiHasNoTime one of the major things people were super angry about with the movies was that annabeth wasnt blonde, and to see those same people criticize people who complain about the race swap is just insane, i dont care about race swaps, it can be good, like samuel l jacksons nick fury. but i do have a problem with the show for being a piss poor show, even kids think its boring.
@@gregorycope6099 nah the show was great. The only thing I would change, would be adding few more episodes to adapt more of the camp chapters. And give us more scenes in general, especially for the big moments and fights. I hope they move into 10-12 episodes format for next books.
@@mjm3091 glad you can lie to yourself, i cannot. the show was horrendous, especially on a budget of 15 million per episode. rick riordan is a coward if he can actually say he likes the show but criticizes the movie for being a better form of media regardless of its ability as an adaptation, which btw the show sucks at too.
I‘m a massive fan of the books and was glad to see that it got made into a tv series. I have no issues at all with the cast, though I haven‘t quite managed to connect with the Annabeth character yet. One thing I feel a bit iffy about though is how disjointed the cutting of scenes is sometimes (s1 e3 so far) which is especially jarring when the same disjointed feeling is used to represent the halfblood visions/nightmares. Also, I felt the whole seriousness and urgency for the quest was lost in 2 sentences of exposition by Chiron… at least, the first movie managed to set the tone for the whole reason of the quest in the scene between Zeus and Posidon at the very start.
I think another difference between the show and movie is that, in the movie the characters look about 14 or 15, but in the show you could actually believe that they’re 12
I'm honestly mostly hyped because Percy is played by the kid that played mini-Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project, and had all of his attitude nailed down. I love watching that kid tbh :D
Of course Logan and Alexandra support them that is not a shocker to me at least! I also do feel like it would be weird for Logan to be Posiedion but I think majority would love a small cameo, like how Stan Lee did cameo's for his movies. Did the movies do the book justice? Not at all. Nope. But were the movies entertaining and enjoyable as a stand-alone when you separate it's inaccuracy to the book? In my opinion, Yes! The editing for the water when it first healed Percy was really cool and the delivery of “This a pen... This is a PEN!” and "What are you doing? Don't walk on my roof." and others, it was hilarious and the actors did amazing and Logan was a perfect Percy in my opinion, it was just for a lot of people the biggest problem was the fact it didn't really align with the books which made it hard for the acting in the movie to make up for it not matching the books. In short the movies aren't a good adaptation of the amazing books but seperate from that it's an enjoyable alternate version. About this Percy Jackson series we've got now - the casting choices are spectacular! The acting, the writing, the editing, the set and props, the whole production it's looking so freaking amazing and it feels like it's really diving into the book series. So far it's pretty similar to the books, my recollection is kinda fuzzy as it's been years since I've read the start of the series but from I do recall it's being brought to life so freaking beautifully!! Overall: Books, AMAZING! Movies - don't do books justice at all but are ENJOYABLE as stand-alones! The Series so far - BEAUTIFUL! I'm loving it so much and I can't wait for another episode!!
Logan is so nice to the younger cast! ❤ When Logan said that he loved the show and the cast their Communication is so kind!! (The old cast are so kind, not caring about that they didn’t get the role!)
I think if Logan is to be in the show, they should make him Triton in a potential season 5. Like, in that part after the boat blows up and Percy is thrown into Poseidon’s palace, and Triton shows up for a second and just looks at Percy like “who is this kid-“ that’s where they could put Logan, if he wanted to do it and if the studio wanted to
He would be like 40 then. Nah - Walker already will be kinda crossing the age line too much, as HoO is meant to happen in one year (so he will be playing a 16-17 years old himself being 16-26).
I felt really young when I found out 😔 but I still have a huge crush on Logan Lerman 😍 since I was about 6 to 8 years old and I still do and now I'm fourteen turning fifteen in October
that’s great! as a person who finished all of the riordanverse books b4 watching the film, I mainly don’t like it because they skipped a lot of the key scenes such as the claiming scene
Someday, hopefully soon, the haters will realize that their racism is unwelcome. Our new Annabeth is Rick’s choice. That is enough for me. People dont understand art. Bad enough they revolted over race. Anyone have an opinion about the cast’s sexual orientation?
So anyone who supports a white actor or actress is racist even though the character is supposed to be white? Why don’t you just create a new character? Oh yeah. Cause you can’t have ANY success on your own unless you steal it from white people. What a joke
See I don’t cate abt the cast’s sexual orientation, they can love who they want it doesn’t matter. I just don’t want them to hop on the marvel trend and make everything woke, like change the characters sexual orientation nd shit
@@richmargin6082 so, you think that now, since Rick wrote the book with a different Annabeth, he is forever locked into that choice? Perhaps he wants to explore a different side of the character.
Y’all, hear me out: Season 3: Titan’s Curse. Logan cameos as Atlas (& Alex as a Hunter of Artemis who helps save Annabeth, with Brandon as one of the satyrs helping save them; with Jena Malone & Sam Claflin already hypothetically cast as Artemis & Apollo, respectively, since I cannot fathom anyone else as them despite being completely torn on Thalia’s casting). Then Logan, Alex, & Brandon can all just by doing short yet sweet cameos, meaningfully send off Walker, Leah, & Aryan into the toughest books of their entire series as the unprecedentedly-more mature Percy, Annabeth, & Grover they’re all getting the first chance to bring to full fruition in their own way for the first time ever a long time overdue. Imagine…I would simply pass away from the poetic justice.🥺✨
Is it fair that Alexandra Daddario had to dye her hair during the second film to "better stick to the character", while Disney obviously does not care about the characters in the books ?
as a huge Percy Jackson fan this was amazing i'm literally crying that's amazing and I love all the actors and think the show is amazing and the new actors along with the old ones❤❤❤❤
At first I was a little disappointed that the cast was so different from the books on looks but the cast is literally perfect. I’ve seen a few interviews lately and they literally are the real life characters. Like especially walker, leah and aryan.
When it comes to book character adaptations it’s a touchy subject due to the expectations of those who played them before or the character itself. It’s harsh criticism that comes with that expectation so for the actor/actress the pressure is high. PJO is no exception. It’s never about WHO plays the character it’s about HOW they play the character. Remember that.
i feel sorry for the new actor of annabeth, it's not her fault although it would be nice to get a character who fits the role of annabeth its not the most important
I’d actually be down for the original actor Peter whatever to make a cameo as a different character or a long term running counselor at camp half blood in the background of a bunch of shots all blurry or just in the background clearly visible.
Logan and Daddario looked so good onscreen. A grown up Percy is not a problem at all if they had adpated the books properly and kept there characters intact. Just start the prophecy at him being 16, and ending at his 21st Brithday.
I honestly get dissapointrd on the current series that they didn't stick to the physical description of the characters like Percy, Annabety, Grover and what more. BUUTTT! As the series goes on, they portray tge characters through their acting skills so it's ok. I'm just really shocked specially to Annabeth, but she got the talent
i feel like atleast making logan a worker at the empire state building would have been a nice cameo like no reason not to also just a nice little homage
Hmm ... you know who Logan probably could do justice to later in the series? I think he'd make a great Quintus ... I mean, it would be another four years before we might see that book and Logan with some silver hair is a possibility. It's a long shot ... but of all the future characters, it seems he could really do something with that role. Though it will likely go to someone older ... would still be interesting
Nostalgia is all it is. I will forever love the movies and the action scenes were way better and emotions were displayed better than the show and Grover being older like the movie is better since he is the protector. However, the show despite a few setbacks ended gloriously and Walker is doing his best. If Lerman were to cameo, yes it would be cool but it would feel off at the same time
I don't think it's a good idea to make Logan Poseidon since he's not tan enough. But then, they're not trying to make the casts book accurate, so it probably doesn't matter.
I love the movies They brought me to the PJO world I would have never even heard of Percy Jackson without the movies And I prefer them over the show not because of race or anything but because they introduced me to PJO
Obviously the writer doesn’t want anyone from the movies to be involved in ANY way with the series. So why does everyone think the old cast should have any connection? Stop asking Logan to be involved. The new actors shouldn’t be asking for anything. The direction is that they make the series their own. Forget the cameos, the Poseidon role, the words of advice. Just move on. If you don’t like it then complain to the writer and Disney in the direction they chose.
To be fair in the books, Rick never says directly the skin tone of Annabeth. I wish they have given Leah a blond wig because Annabeth is defiantly supposed to be blond. In terms of what they did in the show to my favorite character from the books, it didn't feel Annabeth for me all the way thru. For example in the last episode, Annabeth is saving Percy from Luke and able to find him. Book readers would know that Annabeth can never raise a blade against Luke, this is a major part of her character arc and they destroyed it. I am happy that the old cast is supportive and I am too. I wish the actors nothing but success and good in their lives, I can only hope characters will act like themselves in future seasons.
Logans beautiful 🤭 But I do personally like the show better than the movies, but Logan was the one thing they got right him being Percy and all. Walker is killing it though.
The original cast was fine. Those directors need to be fired though. Rick stated constantly that they shat all over his original creation and he wasn't really involved with anything.
I’m sorry but I agree with it too. the actor should be white not black. I’m no racist but I read all the books and annabeth was always a white woman and there’s billions of young white women in this world that we live in that Rick riordan could’ve picked but he decided to pick a black girl instead all because of Black Lives Matter and it’s honestly pathetic because they did the same bullshit with the last of us show with Joel’s daughter being black but In the game she was a blue eyed blonde hair girl. COMMENT IF IM WRONG!
I REAAALLY want rick to make Percy look canonically more like Walker, because I saw the series before I started reading the books and trust me I significantly prefer that Percy rather than the one that looked like Logan.
I am glad that I reserved my judgement for annabeth when I heard that Rick was on board because of he decided on her then might as well see it and turns out he was right she did a great job just wish they did something with the eyes to make them storm grey but oh well she did a great job with the role

Ok i liked the movies but the series is WAY more like the book and thats why i love it
@@Kyezowuhmmm did you read the books?
@elijahevergreen Rick wrote the script 💀😭
am i one of the only people that actually enjoyed the movies? there were little movies id actually watch as a kid and the Percy Jackson films were one of the few i really liked
Ikr, I feel like going through anything to do with Percy Jackson, ppl say the movies were horrible, and I always don't agree. Well maybe bc I never read the books but the movies were great as a storyline and by itself, if the movies weren't connected to the books maybe it would be more loved. The movies are great and I still love them after rewatching it ❤
It's because the book readers hated the movies because the movies had nothing to do with the books
I also enjoyed it
I read the books many times and also watched the movies.
In both it is because the big three are horny

I think we can do a cameo of Logan like this. A monster attacks Percy in public, and Percy pulls out Riptide and changes it into sword. Logan can be clear-sighted or he sort of saw through the mist the moment Percy turned his pen into the sword, and then Logan goes "That was a pen, it was a pen" to himself or his friends played by Alexandra and Brandon (Movie Annabeth and Grover). This also can be a tribute to the line "This is a pen", which is the best lines in the movie.
I agree with Rick. The movies were bad, we need to leave them behind if we want this to be a good thing on its own.
but his hate twards the films is extending twards the actors, who had no fault and tryed their best. it wont hurt anyone to have the movie cast appear for a small scene. they seem to support the children and the children look up to them
@@KyezowWhile I would not say it is terrible,I will say I can kind of see what you mean.
@@Kyezow

Bruh the only thing is I don’t want hermione to be hispanic in the new hp series
@@wertygospiner2245 Can you show me where he criticized Alexandra not being blonde?

I would love for Logan to be Poseidon but I completely understand Rick and the fact he wants a fresh start.
Logan still looks way too young to be playing someone’s dad. That would’ve been weird to me.

Logan is so nice to the younger cast! ❤ When Logan said that he loved the show and the cast their Communication is so kind!! (The old cast are so kind, not caring about that they didn’t get the role!)
I love Leah as Annabeth. People who think and say otherwise are terrible. Rick told her something like, ‘don’t worry what they say. I chose you.’😢
I think if Logan is to be in the show, they should make him Triton in a potential season 5. Like, in that part after the boat blows up and Percy is thrown into Poseidon’s palace, and Triton shows up for a second and just looks at Percy like “who is this kid-“ that’s where they could put Logan, if he wanted to do it and if the studio wanted to
LOGAN LERMAN playing 20 year old Percy in the future percy story makes sense ( Heroes of Olympus series)

If annabeth was Rick’s choice then why did he write her with blonde hair and gray eyes? The actress is nothing like that
@@richmargin6082 so, you think that now, since Rick wrote the book with a different Annabeth, he is forever locked into that choice? Perhaps he wants to explore a different side of the character.
@@teuchiotsutski6124 so, woke is about race and not other differences? You can have a preference. So can Rick .
Exactly
Logan should be like one of the dead soldiers on Clarisse’s ship in season two
I think it’d be funny if he was just like a person on the train or something, no lines, nothing like that
as a huge Percy Jackson fan this was amazing i'm literally crying that's amazing and I love all the actors and think the show is amazing and the new actors along with the old ones❤❤❤❤
I haven't watched any of the show, but the movie cast being in the lotus casino would be hilarious
At first I was a little disappointed that the cast was so different from the books on looks but the cast is literally perfect. I’ve seen a few interviews lately and they literally are the real life characters. Like especially walker, leah and aryan.
Logan should be cast as triton, he had a few seconds in the final book so perfect for a cameo
Good to see the original cast of Percy Jackson have been supportive of the newer cast.
I feel like it would be cool if he was a cameo in the lotus casino or something
When it comes to book character adaptations it’s a touchy subject due to the expectations of those who played them before or the character itself. It’s harsh criticism that comes with that expectation so for the actor/actress the pressure is high. PJO is no exception. It’s never about WHO plays the character it’s about HOW they play the character. Remember that.
Most book adaptions should be in tv form, outside of the Harry Potter series and Lord of the Rings ( which are 2+ hours long) it doesn’t work.
You know a movie is bad when not only fans hate it but the actor too
i feel sorry for the new actor of annabeth, it's not her fault although it would be nice to get a character who fits the role of annabeth its not the most important
Logan looks too young to be Poseidon!!
Agreed
Logan and Alex were absolutely breathtaking to look at in the movies. And i do think they have characters that exists in the PJ reboot universe 🙌
I’d actually be down for the original actor Peter whatever to make a cameo as a different character or a long term running counselor at camp half blood in the background of a bunch of shots all blurry or just in the background clearly visible.
The tv show was absolute perfection
Though it will likely go to someone older ... would still be interesting
when uncle rick be speaking FACTS
Nostalgia is all it is. I will forever love the movies and the action scenes were way better and emotions were displayed better than the show and Grover being older like the movie is better since he is the protector.
However, the show despite a few setbacks ended gloriously and Walker is doing his best. If Lerman were to cameo, yes it would be cool but it would feel off at the same time
I don't think it's a good idea to make Logan Poseidon since he's not tan enough.
But then, they're not trying to make the casts book accurate, so it probably doesn't matter.
They aren’t making their appearances book accurate, they are making their personalities book accurate.
As someone who was a kid when the movies came out and didn’t read the books and still haven’t i think the first movie was really good
Hear me out hear me out... what if he was cast as a random high school teacher
I think he could be one of the dead pirates in the second book that would be a cool cameo
Also why the hell would anyone want the original actors to show up in the series? This makes zero sense
I love the movies
They brought me to the PJO world
I would have never even heard of Percy Jackson without the movies
And I prefer them over the show not because of race or anything but because they introduced me to PJO
Logans beautiful 🤭
But I do personally like the show better than the movies, but Logan was the one thing they got right him being Percy and all.
Walker is killing it though.
They gave the guy who played Charon in the movies a role in the series and no yet no cameos from the main trio from them which is kind of sad

The original cast was fine. Those directors need to be fired though. Rick stated constantly that they shat all over his original creation and he wasn't really involved with anything.
Logan is the best actor to play Percy.
The movies suck the cast is actual good actors
I wouldn't know how to judge the movies since I never read the books.
Any chance Lerman ends up appearing briefly as Hermes? I think that would be perfect.
*_cough_* Lin Manuel Miranda...
the problem i have with the movies was the writing
I mean the movies weren't horrible. Yes they could of tweak somethings but not the worst.
I am glad that I reserved my judgement for annabeth when I heard that Rick was on board because of he decided on her then might as well see it and turns out he was right she did a great job just wish they did something with the eyes to make them storm grey but oh well she did a great job with the role
