The polaroids, Life is Strange's music, the van and the beautiful trips you will do with it...it's all awesome and just like a dream. I am happy for you because you live your life to the fullest. And you have some great music taste too! Cheers from Italy
I was totally getting a Life is Strange vibe, but I didn't realize it was the same music. But, yeah, the polaroids, the font choices, and the whole aesthetic was Life is Strange. Love it!
Does anyone have the specific music used from the Life Is Strange OST? I know their music is great such as Jose Gonzalez - Crosses used in this vid, but it’s hard to find these other songs specifically
came for the van renovation, stayed for the philosophical takeaway: in life, progress will often look like you are stalling or even going backwards... until there's a breakthrough and everything comes together beautifully and you realize you were making progress all along. Trust the process
"before I can actually see things come together visibly, I have to strip everything I don't want because I need to make room for all the new stuff I want to put in." This is a great analogy about life in general. You have to let go of the things that you don't want in your life so that you can make room for the things you do want. You're amazing! putting yourself up to do this at the age of 19 and seeing you struggle and grow is so inspiring! Thanks for making the video
As a 19 year old who just wants to travel as well, wow, an inspiration, I just don't want to travel alone, my only issue with this. I'd get too lonely too fast. Love the transformation and journey. Respect
When you said about taking another path than most people, that hit hard. As a 29 year old, I've done that my whole life where it's hard to feel like you fit in anywhere. Congrats on all your hard work!
RUclips has been feeding me this video for almost a year and i didn´t want to watch it because at the time i was kinda fed up with van restoration/renovation/conversion... but after a year of seeing that thumbnail i decided to watch the video... and boy am i glad i did, i freaking loved this video, i loved your style, your voice, the editing, everything... i now understand why youtube was recommending me this video... congratulations on Spiffy, it turned out amazing... now i´ll go ahead and binge watch your entire channel
Protip for securing items while you are moving in a clean way: buy some strong magnets and a sheet a metal. Install the magnets on the bottom of items and put the sheet of metal (make sure you buy a type that magnets are attracted to) just under the top surface of the counter. A thin sheet of wood laminate would work perfectly on top of it and you would get to keep the wood aesthetic.
"Even if things are seemingly not progressing to an end goal, not all progress has to look or feel linear. Before I can actually start seeing things come together visibly, I kind of have to strip everything out that I don't want... because I have to make room for all of the new stuff I want to put in" -- such a fitting quote for the project, and for life in general. You are wise beyond your years, Natalie. ♥
Great job Natalie!!! I'm a 69 year old who after dealing with cancer 3 times, AND WINNING, decided a few years ago to acquire "Vanessa" a 1987 Ram campervan. I took things slow as not able to do as much as fast as I would like, lol. So I'm not afraid to try something, and I'm very proud of you and your accomplishments :) Each day is a new day, so put your shine on and welcome each new adventure in your life
This is insane how homey and just so aesthetically pleasing you've made the van, the hard work 1000% paid off in the end. You've done an incredible job with it! Can't wait to see what journeys you get up to in this van now!
This feels weird to say but, I think this is one of the best youtube videos ever made. The cinematography, the movie feeling, the feeling I get just watching it is inexplainable. I know you'll never see this natalie but amazing job.
I started crying when I heard you talking about feeling isolated while choosing untraditional ways to live this life. That's so personally relatable. Also I admire you do much you're one of the coolest people I saw!
As a young kid with dreams that seem pretty similar to yours, this is so inspiring :) thank you so much for being so real and open about the whole project, rather than making it seem like an effortless, fancy “makeover”. I’ve never seen your channel before, but your editing style, and real-life chats are so amazing and down-to-earth. Thank you again
I love how you’re not over romanticising this project, making it look like a Pinterest dream, but actually showing the hard work both physically and mentally, and still making it inspiring! I’m the same age as you but far from being as much independent (a lot because I serve in the army, not by my choice but because it’s a duty where I live) and this well made video definitely brought me hope that one day I’ll create for myself the life I want just like you do by hard work & tons of motivation! Keep on with the great content❤️
It doesn't matter how expensive or luxurious it may be, the important thing is that you do it with love and your project with love, I loved seeing a woman super determined to achieve her dream, thank you for sharing the great work you achieved 😱😇
this is so insane?!?! those months of isolation and persistence must've felt so discouraging but you still continued to work your hardest for it even if you've never done something like it before and that's just- you're so fucking cool, natalie. the van looks so so awesome. and as always the film is wonderful! hoping all the best for you sincerely

@@Myke_thehuman Honestly I just want to leave everything behind and go start a life elsewhere.. I don't want to waste 7 to 11 years of my life studying , constantly in stress , just to get a job praised by everyone else and to make my fam proud. When I say that I'm ready to leave everyone behind I mean it , so why do I fear becoming a disappointment and always worry what others will think/ how they will view me? A new country , new look , new name and a new life... A chance to be reborn that is all. The only aspect that makes this but a mere dream is the realistic one , no money means no freedom , running away is futile as you'll end up homeless , penniless and regret every choice you've made , so back to square one but now it's a lot worse. I fear having no degree and no money will mean working long hours for little money , not even enough to live yet alone start over elsewhere. Shit's so depressing.
Hey! I'm in the same situation- Im taking a gap year next year and I've decided that whether I feel like it or not, I'm going to try my absolute hardest to change my life (aka learn doing things outside of comfort zone) What are you at? Studying already?

Great job renovating, and the thoughts on how it's a project of trust in yourself especially when growing up in distrustful environments. Most people won't see this way of life but that's fine, it's awesome for certain people. Everything said about it being like a refuge, pushing past perfectionist struggles lol, very true, I built a house in the woods when I was 20 and it was a similar feeling of - creating a bubble of sanity, discovery and self confidence.
im a painter, and i totally under stand the " it looks worse" projects will look terrible untill that last 80 percent where everything starts to come together.
I can't believe you restored that van all by yourself with no prior knowledge of the huge pain it is to pull that off. I restored a small trailer years ago and I have years of construction background and it was a ton of work. And you painted the van too?!! You are an incredible video maker and an impressive person. I look forward to watching the adventures you share of your journey. Good job!
Awesome Content. Keep it up. I lived in a van when I was 21 back in 2012. I drove a New Chevy Express Passenger Van. I did it as a way to save $$$. People called me homeless and a creep. Little did they knew I actually owned a home and traveled a lot for work. Now Everyone is jumping on the Van, Schoolie, TinyHome Trend. Can’t blame them. Never too late to chase your freedom and dreams. It helped me get to where I’m at now at 32. I still have that Van ❤
Shes so good at this, i absolutely love love love her content, the amount of hard work she puts into it really shows!! Shes an inspirational. Thankyou Natalie
So cool to see the emotions and philosophy surrounding the restoration showing the journey rather than just making it another fancy story. Such incredible work and fantastic results! I wish you plenty of amazing miles with Spiffy, what a beautiful van!
I've been recently thinking a lot about living in a boat, as someone young with not a lot of money it's a big risk but also feels like the only moment in life I will be able to do this. Needing a escape, to breathe and just a bit of adventure. I'm not really good at expressing things, but this video means a lot to me in a weird way, thanks for making it.
Natalie's videos transcend and transport me to a safer, peaceful and beautiful place- I dunno how exactly to put in in words but its just magical. Also the vibes, editing, the way it is shot is all just so pretty. ❤😔
Im going to be renovating a van in a year or two and this has actually made me want to get a van like this one. Seems like it was a lot of work, but you didnt have to take it down to its skeleton to rebuild it like buying a cargo van would be. This was also just very inspiring.
"Its always the darkest before the dawn" is such a cliche phrase but is also so true. And this is a good example. I'm nearly 10 years your senior having lived a hard life and watching your progression from "I went on an adventure alone", to your "I became everything I ever wanted" video to now has been an inspiring experience of what taking charge of your life and destiny can be. Keep doing you kid and stay on your path. Not only is it helping you but I guarantee its helping others and that is never a bad thing
I love this. I've really hit a hard spot in my bus build. I'm 18 and just graduated and I'm building a bus to live in and I just had to move build sites. This video gave me so much inspiration. Thank you ❤️
How sad that for a lot of people this won't be a fun project, but an actual place to live, instead of a house or an apartment. It should be alongside that not instead of. But she did a great job , and i hope you will too.
@@nenadbelegisanin7904 It's not sad. Just because some people choose to live differently than you would doesn't mean they're living worse. Personally, I would live in a van over an apartment because I can do and travel more. Some people need the stability of a home not on wheels tho. Everyone is different and that means their wants and needs are different.
@@my_uhhh I am not saying that you should not do this , i am saying that people will have one opinion and that is to live in a van , because the houses will be so expensive and unavailable for 99% of the people. Sorry English is not my native tongue.

This is genuinely the most inspiring and authentic video I've watched in a long time. I loved every part of it: from the cinematics, to the choice of music - and most importantly - the story. I can't find the right words to express how relieving and comforting it is to get a sense of belonging through this video. Thank you for being you, and sharing your dreams with the world for people like me.
This is by far the best van life video I’ve seen. I’m currently going through this process on my own and you described the thoughts and emotions throughout the process perfectly

I liked her videos before this, but this video is showing me a pretty cool kickass personality, buying a van, and doing a monumental task of renewing it by yourself, thats pretty awesome for a person her age!
Its beautiful. Ive always wanted to do what youve just gone and done! The wood finish, the delicious dark green and the atlas theme.... I really like your style. It's warm and refined. I love that vintage green you went for outside and that dark green strip that ties the outside colors in to the inside. Gorgeous makeover, you worked so hard
I can’t explain how much this resonated with me , I built my van on all my own too and went through so many of the same emotions and no body really talks about it nor make it look so cinematic, so thank you for making me feel heard and inspired again. Keep being you 🫶
I'm about to tackle a renovation of a houseboat I bought and it's daunting to say the least. You did such a phenomenal job that it's inspirational. To the next chapter, cheers!

Can't wait to watch your van-life journey unfold!
What an absolute genius girl you are! Excellent choice of van, excellent match of paint from the store, and what a nice little home you'll have on the road! There is nothing wrong with being independent! Be the kind of person people come to with problems, be the person who knows everything that people can rely on, be your own hero! Excellent video, thanks for posting it!

Just finished renovating my bus to live out of and I can 100% agree with everything you said in this video. Describes exactly how I felt the whole time. Nice to know even though we're going against the norm, other people understand how we feel.
Wonderful color you picked as well for the outside! Hope you're still doing good! You're clearly very responsible, no doubt if you can handle actually maintaining a van and having a stable van life, you can do anything! You deserve all of the support you can get. Nothing will stand in your way!

i feel the exact same way, like you said giving us a chance to see what growing up really means, its taught me that growing up is growing into yourself, not just following a linear path that other people pathed
followed before I even watched the video and now i’m emotionally attached to your van too. everything from your style to your thoughts to your hair is identical to mine, and it’s incredibly amazing to see someone living my dreams. it makes it feel like everything will work out and be okay in the end no matter how hard it gets, and it’s been pretty hard lately. you have no idea how much this video means to me and if you ever somehow read this i want you to know that i stopped my english homework and am now crying because this taught me more than school ever could. currently my favorite video on the internet, thank you so much for sharing this with the world!!:))🌲🐻

hey! making your own kart sounds like a very cool project, im currently 16 as well, how would i be able to start learning about go karts and whatever, I want to make a go cart too!
@@hello-zq8ku not gonna lie, you can only do so much with a go kart. I chose to build an off road go kart. For my purposes I wanted to take it up to the trails up in the mountains, but the go kart just couldn't handle it. If you wanted to, you probably could build one. If you don't know what your doing it's not a bad idea to ask a parent. I have a lot of experience with tools so I had something to work off of. If you don't think you can build one after reading this, don't let me keep you from doing it. However It's not a bad idea to consider buying an atv, dirt bike, or mini bike, like me, which is what I ended up buying about 2 years after I build it
This was insanely professional, the way you told the story was amazing and I’m so hooked now, I also love the build and it gave me some amazing ideas for mine. Keep it up!
The way you capture this whole experience. It brings more emotion than any other van build video I’ve watched. You make me want to give you a hug and say congratulations !!!!
GOOD JOB! I think you didn't just buy this van, you also created Spiffy. I remember there was an academic term called "delayed enjoyment", which means that you don't care if you can finish the task or not, but you finish it step by step and then you feel happy when you finish the task. I think you nailed it! It's lonely on the road, but you've done so much on your own, and I'm sure it's an unforgettable experience for you, too. Not gonna lie, when I heard the music “crosses” I really cried. All your efforts are totally worth it!!!! Dirve Spiffy and go explore the world! SOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!❤️
This made me tear up, the feeling of being alone - even though I am surrounded by people. I honestly even like it that way, but it feels like your light is being eaten up by the mist at times, but then suddenly dawn breaks and it is beautiful. This was amazing to watch, it felt like just at the right time I found this. Also, my little fiat is named "Pionko" :)
during this whole video I just kept saying "this is so cool" and it's not even my inner automotive enthusiast but how awesome it is to go out and do a project like this. you have all my respect
I never realized how much I relate to you until this van series. This video has probably been my favorite of yours. Thank you for showing your struggles AND accomplishments. Love you, always!
So i also converted a Van when i was 19 (last year), a Sprinter Van (eventually made it a business and now working on 2 others). Just like you i had never done anything like it before but i knew that it was something I wanted to do and kept working my ass off every day. The way you describe this whole Van building experience is insanely accurate and it just really hit me. The feeling of isolation, not making any (visual) progress, just laying down tired and fcking frustrated in the Van… i could go on for ages but this is probably the only video that describes the whole building process exactly right and it really makes me happy to hear someone who has had the same experience. And don’t get me wrong, its a fucking amazing experience and i really encourage everyone to start building their Van! It may be f*cking hard at sometimes but in the end it is all worth it. The travels, feelings of self growth and absolute freedom and all the memories are something i’ll carry to my grave and be proud of the rest of my life. Really awesome video! Safe travels! P.S. If anyone has a question about building a Van or is looking to get into the whole Vanlife thing ask away! I’ll be really happy to help or just talk about Vanlife :)
Do you ever feel trapped by the small space or lonely when you travel so much? I’m thinking of building a tiny house and I’m not sure whether to put it on wheels or not.
Lesson to learn: working feels good, gives us purpose and pride. This should apply to any job. As my parents always told “ as long as your doing the best you can that’s all you can do” but remember it’s about doing the best you can at any job.
Слов нет, одни эмоции. Боюсь я в 19 лет буду сидеть и думать какая у меня скучная жизнь и как мне не повезло, пока другие просто берут и делают. Ты большая молодец! Успехов тебе во всём.
I really want to travel the world when I’m older and just go to a bunch of random silly places with friends. I’m so glad I found you channel. This video was very inspiring. The hard work was definitely worth it!
THIS IS SOOOO much more than a van build video...yo...I'm literally in tears. THANK you for being so vulnerable and sharing all this with us...I'm just so moved by this, and I am not usually like that haha just...thank you
Full props to your perseverance, dedication, and willingness to learn and do. I have to admit I probably wouldn't have stuck that out. Learning that good that gets done can beat perfection that doesn't is a good thing to learn. Stay safe, but enjoy the journey. If I knew in my early adult years what I know now I think I'd have done similar. Maybe not the build. A sleeping bag and a van would work.

The polaroids, Life is Strange's music, the van and the beautiful trips you will do with it...it's all awesome and just like a dream. I am happy for you because you live your life to the fullest. And you have some great music taste too! Cheers from Italy
I didn’t notice this had Life is Strange music!
All videos of her have the life is strange vibes man, so unreal and real at the same time :D
@@selim7945 yea she seem like she is from the game
I was totally getting a Life is Strange vibe, but I didn't realize it was the same music. But, yeah, the polaroids, the font choices, and the whole aesthetic was Life is Strange. Love it!
Does anyone have the specific music used from the Life Is Strange OST? I know their music is great such as Jose Gonzalez - Crosses used in this vid, but it’s hard to find these other songs specifically
This is probably some of the most inspirational and moving coming of age story yet. you rock mate and definitely would be your friend !
came for the van renovation, stayed for the philosophical takeaway: in life, progress will often look like you are stalling or even going backwards... until there's a breakthrough and everything comes together beautifully and you realize you were making progress all along. Trust the process
lol
😂😂 i wish, if it feels like you are going backwards, you probably are
"before I can actually see things come together visibly, I have to strip everything I don't want because I need to make room for all the new stuff I want to put in." This is a great analogy about life in general. You have to let go of the things that you don't want in your life so that you can make room for the things you do want. You're amazing! putting yourself up to do this at the age of 19 and seeing you struggle and grow is so inspiring! Thanks for making the video
This was a excellent journey Natalie, turned out pretty good!
The van looks so cute tho! I can't wait to see her adventures😍
As a 19 year old who just wants to travel as well, wow, an inspiration, I just don't want to travel alone, my only issue with this. I'd get too lonely too fast. Love the transformation and journey. Respect

this sounds like a college discussion post response.

That "Now I'll go ahead and binge watch your entire channel" part is so relatable!
Whoa. The storytelling in this video is 🔥 Great work and excited for you!
Like you, I went through all the struggles to complete the reno, and I'm so proud of all the new skills I learned along the way. So I'm not afraid to try something, and I'm very proud of you and your accomplishments :) Each day is a new day, so put your shine on and welcome each new adventure in your life
Wishing you the best take it one day at a time good luck
This is insane how homey and just so aesthetically pleasing you've made the van, the hard work 1000% paid off in the end. You've done an incredible job with it! Can't wait to see what journeys you get up to in this van now!
This feels weird to say but, I think this is one of the best youtube videos ever made. The cinematography, the movie feeling, the feeling I get just watching it is inexplainable. I know you'll never see this natalie but amazing job.
wow she could of at least said thank you. im sure she hanging upside down like a vampire somewhere on the west coast though.
I started crying when I heard you talking about feeling isolated while choosing untraditional ways to live this life. That's so personally relatable. Also I admire you do much you're one of the coolest people I saw!
unbelievable and I really admire ur patience and the power of execution
As a young kid with dreams that seem pretty similar to yours, this is so inspiring :) thank you so much for being so real and open about the whole project, rather than making it seem like an effortless, fancy “makeover”. I’ve never seen your channel before, but your editing style, and real-life chats are so amazing and down-to-earth. Thank you again
Yes, I agree. I'm fourteen and have similar van life aspirations
This is what you call a RUclips classic… you can rewatch many times and not get bored, the editing is great
It doesn't matter how expensive or luxurious it may be, the important thing is that you do it with love and your project with love, I loved seeing a woman super determined to achieve her dream, thank you for sharing the great work you achieved 😱😇
This was incredible!! 🙌🏼 Very inspiring to see you working hard on the project, wish you the best experiences. I’ll be watching 🔥
this is so insane?!?! those months of isolation and persistence must've felt so discouraging but you still continued to work your hardest for it even if you've never done something like it before and that's just- you're so fucking cool, natalie. the van looks so so awesome. and as always the film is wonderful! hoping all the best for you sincerely
I'm 19 years old and still stuck in a comfort zone, and still can't move on, and I wish I could have a wonderful experience like you... Thank you so much..
Amazing videos ♥️♥️
Figure out what you want. Break it down into tiny steps that are definitely achievable. And before you know it your wish will be reality.
Great job renovating, and the thoughts on how it's a project of trust in yourself especially when growing up in distrustful environments. Most people won't see this way of life but that's fine, it's awesome for certain people. Everything said about it being like a refuge, pushing past perfectionist struggles lol, very true, I built a house in the woods when I was 20 and it was a similar feeling of - creating a bubble of sanity, discovery and self confidence.
im a painter, and i totally under stand the " it looks worse"
projects will look terrible untill that last 80 percent where everything starts to come together.
It's always darkest before the dawn :)
One of the most talented storytellers on this platform without a doubt.
Do it! Take the risk! Let the wind take you where you need to be.
Just remember, it’s life. You don’t have to rush it
That van is such a vibe and we need more like this one in the van life community.
This was awesome couldn't ever imagine doing this at 19, props to you, enjoy the freedom and keep up the hard work
Natalie's videos transcend and transport me to a safer, peaceful and beautiful place- I dunno how exactly to put in in words but its just magical.

@@nenadbelegisanin7904 how is it sad?😂
@@nenadbelegisanin7904 It's not sad. Just because some people choose to live differently than you would doesn't mean they're living worse. Personally, I would live in a van over an apartment because I can do and travel more. Some people need the stability of a home not on wheels tho. Everyone is different and that means their wants and needs are different.

This is genuinely the most inspiring and authentic video I've watched in a long time. I loved every part of it: from the cinematics, to the choice of music - and most importantly - the story. I can't find the right words to express how relieving and comforting it is to get a sense of belonging through this video.

As someone who's 16 and built his own go kart. It took a lot of time, effort, money and patience to do it. I did it myself without any of my parents money or help. Seeing a 19 year old remodeling a whole van is wild. The amount of time, effort, money, and patience put in to the van must be crazy. I can't even image it. Great job Natalie, we're proud of you and I'm sure your proud of yourself. I hope your happy with your work :)
Edit: Im not comparing myself. The amount of work put in to the van was wayyyy more work than my project. My point was I know what it's like to be young and do projects. But, again, her project was way way WAY more work then mine
hey! making your own kart sounds like a very cool project, im currently 16 as well, how would i be able to start learning about go karts and whatever, I want to make a go cart too!
However It's not a bad idea to consider buying an atv, dirt bike, or mini bike, like me, which is what I ended up buying about 2 years after I build it
So proud of you for doing this!!! Creating something sustainable when you’re young is so special. Enjoy it ❤️ saving up now

Also,
my little fiat is named "Pionko" :)
during this whole video I just kept saying "this is so cool" and it's not even my inner automotive enthusiast but how awesome it is to go out and do a project like this. you have all my respect
I never realized how much I relate to you until this van series. This video has probably been my favorite of yours. Thank you for showing your struggles AND accomplishments. Love you, always!
So jealous and happy for you!!!
I’ll be really happy to help or just talk about Vanlife :)
where is your business located haha I need some help with my van
I don’t even know where to start
