Rosie - i have to admit something: I am 50 years old, and have been DIYing things since teenage years. When i started following you, I found it so refreshing because even if you did not have all the skills, you had the courage to start building things and renovating. I felt at some times when watching your stuff "oh, she is doing this in an odd way" or "I would have done that differently". Still, your attitude towards the renovating and your courage and the cute things you built gave ME enthusiasm and energy to start doing more things around my house. (so i built some furniture and started carving spoons, cups etc). And then the thing I have to admit: you have become so good in the last two years! What I think right now: "OMG she knows so much more than me". I do not know if you realize yourself how much you have learned. Ok - confession over. I wanted to tell you that you should feel so proud about all that you have achieved.
She's lovely, amazing and makes great content but she clearly HAD more theoretical architectic knowledge than most of the people. She uses professional software, she plans with proper high level technical drawings, she knows which materials she should use. This is not diy, learn and do knowledge - this was or is her occupation. And by the way, the way she works with the wood thats not her first, second or third year doing that. She worked with wood for many many years. source: im woodworker with 5yr+ experience, and i can see when someone is beginner or not.
Haven't watched for a vid or two and OH MY GOD Rosie! Your place has become so beautiful inside and out!!! Your so badass! Lol.. @@wildrosieRosie, your mathematics and design skills would make any seasoned carpenter green with envy! Thank, Rosie! I am very grateful for you! ❤
Rosie, what you have shown us that all an individual needs is a dream, passion, desire & a “can do” attitude to achieve you goals! So very proud of you!
Yes. An "I can do attitude" is the key to everything. They should remove the word can't from the dictionary. 😂 I have an aunt who has an "I can't" mindset. When I watch Rosie, I think of my aunt. Rosie can I just say how much I love your channel I've never seen anyone on RUclips like you your work is amazing and thank you for sharing it with us x
Rosie, I feel your choice of pine was perfect. The light color is clean, makes the space look large, bright, warm, open, airy and welcoming. I can't imagine a darker wood doing any of those things the way the pine does. Seems perfect! Any other darker wood would have closed in your space. Great choice! You and your workmanship are amazing to see and watch! 🩷
It must be so satisfying to sit in your white comfy chair with a deliciously hot drink in your hands, the snow outside and be thinking..." I created all this". Clever you👏👏👏
Thank you, Rosie 🥰 Right in time for the next cup of coffee. Quite nice seeing one single room beeing wrapped up from start to finish. And from your earlier videos we know it will turn out well 👍 I love your videos just as much as the ones from Martijn Doolaard renovating an old stone house in the Italian alps. You are both so creative, steady, calm, patient and skilled and you create such professionel, relaxing, soothing and beautiful FILMS for us all. Thanks!
I am in such awe of what you have achieved. I am so impressed by your overall patience and problem solving. You are presenting your evolution and experience from design to actual hands on creation, in such a wonderful poetic way. Your videos simultaneously meditative and inspiring, without hiding the challenges, obstacles and sacrifices, while showing the beautiful nature your are able to be surrounded by. Thank you!
Using painters tape to figure out where the shelves are going, WHILE, actually building. That's so clever. And brave. I feel like a lot of us thinks that everything has to measured and sorted out beforehand, avoiding to start a project before everything is perfect. This is the way. Well done.
Dear Rosie. You have magig touch with wood. We do what we can. You do what you want. You are the miracle maker. Its teraby to watch you❤ Kari Hilska Finland
I rarely leave comments but GOOD LORD you are absolutely amazing. In the almost wilderness, all alone, building intricate furniture from scratch. Simply amazing, I look up to you
I just returned from 6 days camping in the woods. I wanted to be as far from any city that I could and still be in the path of totality for an eclipse that passed over North America Monday. I had to bring my laptop just in case I needed it. I work in IT for a global company. I didn't have to turn it on all week! Yours was the first voice I looked for when I had to turn it back on for work.
Even though I watched every episode, I loved watching the whole process in summary again. Look what you have achieved, on your own merits, in less than half a year! You're amazing Rosie ❤
You’re a special breed, Rosie. And I love you for it. Anytime I feel I’ve had a long day, I think to myself, “ well Rosie probably accomplished unbelievable things today” and I quickly gain some perspective 😅❤ thanks for this incredible video. It’s truly a masterpiece ❤
Just love your delight in precision design, Rosie 😊 (and then the practical side of adapting it to a wonky house 😂) I like this idea of a showcase episode showing the whole build, along with the individual episodes showing the detail 👍
Oh my Rosie! I’m so happy to be able to watch a new video from you. 😊 I haven’t been feeling well for a few days and this was just what I needed to cheer me up. It is very satisfying seeing everything being designed, cut and assembled in one video. You even managed to edit the vid at a nice relaxing though brisk pace (if that makes sense) so add that to the list of your many talents. Happy spring! 🐣
The amount of time, craftsmanship, patience and care you put into everything you do is so inspiring! I have watched the process of your work for this entire room, and I am absolutely amazed! You have done such a beautiful job creating a cozy, and functional space! I hope you feel extremely proud, and accomplished with all the work you have done so far! I am so excited to see the house when it's completed, I know it will be absolutely stunning! 😊
The way you use your jigsaw is terrifyingly effective! In almost any other wood working channel you see those super specialized machines, but you just use that ONE thing and do things with it, that everyone else would say: Ahh! That won't work, it's not precise enough! Then... it works. It is JUST precise enough to work. You wing it and it's so inspiring! So much doing, so much progress, so impressive what you have achieved with what little tools and work environment you have. Incredible. Simply... incredible. My dad renovated our 140 year old house nearly from the ground up. I grew up for years in a place that was in constant change. To me he was superman. He could do it all. He could build it all. He could fix it all. It actually stopped me from doing anything with my hands for decades of my life. He is now gone, much too early at the age of 63 due to cancer. I was lost when it came to all things concerning craft. RUclipsrs like you inspired me (then being 38 years old) to start doing things! Now I have my own house, my own son, and I build things. Little things, bigger things (if my wife lets me, she is very picky). Thanks to bold people like you putting their work online, I can now be his hero. I will inspire him to work with his hands though, build things WITH him, so I don't become so mountainous as my dad was to me. Thank you for inspiring us!
What a transformation not only in the room but in the process to transform it into your peaceful design and your carpentry skills. You are absolutely amazing.😊
This is so gorgeous, I love the simplicity of the space and how bright and functional everything is. This is exactly what I like, but my partner likes a different design feel. I think I might need my own house 😂
Rosie I really admire and respect your "can do" attitude. I often let fear of failing or making mistakes hold me back from trying anything new or "hard". Watching you tackle every single project and have them all turn out so beautiful and functional is very inspiring. I will continue to follow your journey as you build the perfect environment for yourself. Thank you for your openness, your honesty, and your creativity. ❤
I am impressed. You not longer a DIY. You an artist, a perfect carpenter and designer. You work is a inspiration. Respect Rosie! I can't wait for the next episodes.
oh wow! I follow your channel now since you started the renovation and I have to say, I didn´t realize how small the house actually is! It looks quite a bit bigger than it is!
IT IS SO AMAZING HOW FAR YOU HAVE COME IN YOUR SKILLS I remember how hard you struggled to build the bath room .🎉congrates on all you have created .in and out of your home .love all your videos and look forward to seeing more
I am a little late in viewing this, but very keen to catch up as your work is so enjoyable. At 78 years, I think I am a reasonable DIYer but I have never achieved your standard of design and assembly. I miss my maternal grandfather who was a very good carpenter & joiner and inspired me to many things. He would have admired your craftmanship and carpentry and been fascinated by your modern tools and ideas. Thank you from all your followers around the world. Love and best wishes from Ellan Vannin/the Isle of Man.
Rosie, you are the joinery whisperer... there's no doubt. I know you probably vex over each piece..but they are seamless to our untrained eyes. Bravo! You create such beautiful things.
So glad to see you back, Rosie. I worried when you weren't back on Sunday. Anyways, thanks for the overview of the library room. I enjoyed seeing the condensed "version". Looking forward to your next video. Best regards. My hero.
I thought that starting a RUclips Channel was a challenge, but what you are doing is REMARKABLE!!! YOU HAVE SUCH UNTAPPED SKILLED AND ABILITIES. It is great fun to watch as you push yourself to unfold these projects. Thank you for your content!
Rosie, you have accomplished so much in the past few months - a truly talented lady! I came upon your channel by accident and now am delighted whenever you post a new video!😍🇨🇦
You should be so proud. You are amazing…a true craftswoman! I love all the clean lines and yet it looks so warm and cozy. Can’t wait to see what you will do next. I’ll be watching for sure. You are an inspiration.
I just love how you show us that renovation is not just a matter of having it done overnight. The process has it's ups and downs, and you sometimes have do with plan B. The need to renovate rather than "just" tearing down and build anew might very well be necessary in times to come.
Amazing build! While watching your video I felt really proud of you. This warm feeling when you see someone to succeed, and you almost want to cry the tears of happiness for the person. Great job with the woodworking and even better job with the editing skills. 💪👌🙌🧡
Seeing the overview of the whole house all I could think was that's Sydney Australia circa 1980's !!!! Trust me I know I was living there at the time. It too was a sea of pine :0)
I don't know how but this is literally the second video I am watching of Rosie and I cannot believe how proud I am of a person I have never ever known let alone met. Girl you not only make me feel proud of you but also you make me feel proud of myself for simply being a woman! You are the definition of if a woman puts her mind on something she can do everything that you can't even possibly imagine. God bless you with everything possible thing that you have ever wanted. You are absolutely incredible 🤌✨
Yes it may take you quite a few days to get everything sorted , but you do this so beautifully well, and as you say taking your time really helped, I love the pattern as you get through each part, and your music you chose is very delightful thank you so much for showing your videos to us all👍❤
That was so lovely seeing the process in a 'time-lapse' form. Lots of lessons learnt to take onto the next room. Hope the other issue is getting sorted out. Thank you for sharing this video in the meantime 😘
My childhood’s home’s interior was all knotty pine and I loved it and still do. It was so different from other homes and the house always smelled wonderful because of all the wood. The look of your cabin’s interior brings back such fond memories for me.
I work in the woodworking industry , so I 'm enjoying seeing you pick up skills . You're doing a great job , so 't worry about having to use pine . The use of stain can change the look . That way even though it is pine it will have contrast. You have very good design skills.
Rosie, I think knotty pine works absolutely beautifully in your space - better, even, than the more sophisticated materials you yearned for. The simplicity, ordinariness and humility of the wood reflects your small, old, batten-and-board cottage in the woods perfectly. I'm sure you have lots and lots of pine trees around you! All those knots add an element of kitsch to your otherwise restrained, minimalist aesthetic, which introduces some warmth and playfulness to an otherwise rather austere and serious look. And how many designs to you see these days that intentionally use knotty pine - very, very few. If you'd used, say, birch, or something else you'd gravitate to, you might have ended up with something that looks very similar to lots of other spaces. Yours is unique, which is a lot better.
Rosie, are you feeling better? Videos can wait until you are 100%. Your friends and followers will still be here. You are an amazing young lady. Thank you for all your adventures. Peter..UK. 🙏🙏
Oh Rosy, that was so fun, what an accomplishment...GIRLS RULE...I love your lighthearted approach to everything, it'll happen when it happens...I bet you're ready for spring to pop, with mind reeling to work in the gardens...I watched your ending a few times just to feel the Zen quality of your constructions and it is so peaceful...you continue to amaze...thanks for sharing...!
All by yourself in a different country than your own, it is amazing and very inspiring for other young women ! Good for you ! But, you do know that owning a home it will never be completely done ! There will always be stuff to do ! lol...thats life ! awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love watching you turn your house into a lovely, cozy, and functional home. The way you are designing your house to make use of every square inch is amazing. And, your workworking skills are wonderful and interesting to watch. Well done, Rosie!! ⚘🏡⚘
33:50 - rounded corner looks luxe. 40:55 - just SO satisfying! Gosh how good does this room look now?! You did a great job and it was a joy to witness part of that process.
You have proved that a person can do these things with out expensive tools and using a hand saw, hammer screws and nails! Absolutely amazing to watch!!! You go girl❤

I understand why your subscriber number is increasing. The work you're doing in your home is excellent. You're living your dream dear person. Wonderful!
I think the pine is the perfect choice of timber. Do you have pine trees outside? It suits your environment well if so. Your house looks great. It has a “Japandi” look. Japanese and scandi, a popular aesthetic atm.
I consider my self quite competent in the diy department but you are just bloody amazing, you have built your home to be perfect for you and it is both beautiful and functional... you are an inspiration

Yours was the first voice I looked for when I had to turn it back on for work.
Even though I watched every episode, I loved watching the whole process in summary again. Look what you have achieved, on your own merits, in less than half a year! You're amazing Rosie ❤
Just amazing what you've achieved. Imagine the next room is going to be even better with all the experience you have.
The craftsmanship and design is incredible. So simple, functional yet elegant and timeless. What a lovely home you are building.
It's been quite a journey, Rosey, but you did it. BEAUTIFULLY! I'm glad that I was along for the ride. Thank you.
Now I definitely have a new goal in my life :) be like Rosie, build a place yourself 😊 you are amazing. Wish me the same willpower as you have
You can do it! If I can, you can :)
Just love your delight in precision design, Rosie 😊
(and then the practical side of adapting it to a wonky house 😂)
I like this idea of a showcase episode showing the whole build, along with the individual episodes showing the detail 👍
You've created a beautiful living space Rosie.. I love watching your home's progress.
A determined woman, some tools and voila, perfection!
Rosie, You have never ceased to amaze me. I hope you are proud of your amazing accomplishments. I am in awe.
Thanks! I tried to keep up the pace a little bit so hopefully it doesn't get too boring. Glad you liked it, and I hope you feel better soon! :)
Wow. For someone with no carpentry skills before you are spectacular. I am so proud impressed.
Thanks for the compilation of five months of hard work - I really loved this episode. I think the room looks bigger. Gosh you are so clever.
Even if I have seen all of your previous videos, this compilation was just perfect. Thanks! 💎Almost an hour of pure art💎
Roaming Wild Rosie!🌹
You are one Amazing creator of ur Home!!!❤️🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
oh wow! I follow your channel now since you started the renovation and I have to say, I didn´t realize how small the house actually is! It looks quite a bit bigger than it is!
IT IS SO AMAZING HOW FAR YOU HAVE COME IN YOUR SKILLS
I remember how hard you struggled to build the bath room .🎉congrates on all you have created .in and out of your home .love all your videos and look forward to seeing more
I am a little late in viewing this, but very keen to catch up as your work is so enjoyable.
Just in time for my morning coffee- woohoo! Hej Rosie! ❤️🇸🇪
Perfect timing! :D
Slow and steady. Can’t wait to see the rest!
swiss people throw away all these nice windows that you renovate with much love
WOW ok this whole process is incredible but my jaw dropped at the joinery work for the banquette. AMAZING! 🤯
Who needs a man if ya got Rosie, well done 🥳🎉🥂🍾
Still my favourite utube channel Rosie. So skilled so beautifully edited. Thanks.
Rosie, i hope you are told extremely often how amazingly talented you are, what you have achieved so far is so inspirational love from South Africa
You utterly deserve 10/10 for effort and not to forget achievement! Life will flow for you Rosie and you deserve that. x
So glad to see you back, Rosie. I worried when you weren't back on Sunday. Anyways, thanks for the overview of the library room. I enjoyed seeing the condensed "version". Looking forward to your next video. Best regards. My hero.
So happy to see a new video. Love what you are doing. Beautiful work!
You said “this is amazing” after lying on your bed that you made for the first time. No, you are AMAZING!
Adsense solved! Glad you are back, Rosie! I have been checking for new video almost every hour 🙂
Seeing the overview of the whole house all I could think was that's
Sydney Australia circa 1980's !!!!
Trust me I know I was living there at the time.
It too was a sea of pine :0)
My chimney installer called it a Swedish sauna in the 70s :D lolllll
@@wildrosie You have put so much work into it and made use of every nook and cranny, I love watching your progress.
I had forgotten the sense of smell when watching these videos. Yes. The little cabin would smell wonderful.
Loved it when you said.. you found out how expensive everything nice is lol.
BTW...I love the black stain, perfect accent to draw your eye away from all the light wood and the blackberry candle...PERFECT..ENJOY...
the bonket (sp?) was genius. how you made that with no prior experience in woodworking was truly remarkable. well done rosie. its great.
Banquette 👍
The most satisfying 49 minutes of my life.
Of your entire life?
This woman is absolutely incredible. We can do everything men can do - she reminds me of this and inspires me
You have proved that a person can do these things with out expensive tools and using a hand saw, hammer screws and nails! Absolutely amazing to watch!!! You go girl❤
I thought your room would look much smaller with all the additions, but it actually looks more spacious 😮
It’s beautiful Rosie. 🤩
Loved this review of your library/study/bedroom. A delight for eyes!!! I love your vlogs.🎉
You are the most amazing person on utube, working by yourself and sewing, cooking. I have never
Seen anyone with so much talent. You have a gorgeous home a great investment. May the Lord
bless you mightily. Xxoo
The kitchen renovation is every woman’s dream come true. My oh my. You are a master renovator. Congratulations dear lady, Hugh congratulations.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍 6/16/24 2:42 p.m. California ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏
You've created a delightful channel Rosie. Well done! I've visited you before some time ago but this is really inspiring. I feel I will want to come back.
WOW! I'm blown away. This was an absolutely gorgeous build. Meticulous planning, patience to get things right, diligence to make sure things went right, and exuberance when it did go right.
