    Thank you for making this video ! I'm looking for a projector and you mentioned all the important points, tanks ! The calculator available on projectcentral.com helped me to visualize how the throwing ratio works.

      Yes it is such a good resource! And a few brands like Epson have their own on their websites, too. Good luck choosing, I really do think that’s the hardest step!

    Thank you for your thorough explanation! I have been so confused about this and like you have a limited budget. I don’t want to spend a fortune on equipment I will never use! I find it hard to believe that most projectors do not include throw information or aspect ratio in their descriptions. I have been interested in the Epson 410w but can’t determine the distance it needs to throw a 60 x 36 inch image. The calculator does not include this model. I can’t move my cutting mat around as my table and mat are 60 x 36. Is this even doable? Most of the videos I have been watching are throwing much much smaller area.

    • @DaileySewsStuff
      @DaileySewsStuff  4 года назад

      I have the 410w. There is a throw calculator on Epson’s website for it. At a 2 ft distance, mine projects a little bigger than my 24x36 mat. From more like 4 ft, you should get roughy a 48 x 72 projection. Your problem there would be that it was overhanging your mat so much on the short side, but I think you could easily handle that.

    Thank you for the video. I am not able to find the Vivimage projectors in the calculator. Am I searching incorrectly?

    • @DaileySewsStuff
      @DaileySewsStuff  4 года назад

      I think you asked this on Facebook and I answered there (or I might have answered only in my head...) but, unfortunately, not every projector ever is in that database. If you can’t find it there, looking for a brand website (Vivimage in the case of your question) is usually the next best option.

    Hello. I am trying to project the size xx s and nothing shows. I am able to project the larger sizes. What is the problem? The pattern is the Pirates add on peg leg.

    • @bmsay2
      @bmsay2 Год назад

      I think I just figured it out. I changed the zoom percentage.

    • @DaileySewsStuff
      @DaileySewsStuff  Год назад

      It could be the color of the XXS is hard to see. It could be an error in the pattern that accidentally grouped that size with another layer. But if correcting your zoom percentage fixed the problem, yay!

    • @bmsay2
      @bmsay2 Год назад

      @@DaileySewsStuff .I can see the lines by changing the zoom but it also change my calibration., which changed the pattern size.

    • @DaileySewsStuff
      @DaileySewsStuff  Год назад

      @@bmsay2 I misunderstood. I thought you’d entered your correct zoom and then were able to see them. If the issue is they can’t be seen unless much bigger, sounds like they need to be made solid and/or thicker and/or a better color. PDF Stitcher is great for that!

    • @bmsay2
      @bmsay2 Год назад

      @@DaileySewsStuff I did that too. I changed it to 6.

      I'm so sorry! This video is older and one that will be updated soon. I'm not sure which kind of projector you're asking about but:
      For Amazon/mini projectors try this:
      Turewell H3 amzn.to/2YruR0L (this is the one featured in my Amazon Projector video that just released)
      For Short Throws try these:
      eBay Short Throw search: www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=short+throw+projector&_sacat=0&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338821129&customid=ShortThrowSearch&toolid=20012&mkevt=1

      ViewSonic www.ebay.com/p/22019155187?iid=224533003252
      BenQ www.ebay.com/itm/202892242685?hash=item2f3d51eefd:g:spEAAOSwO9leuEi0&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338821129&customid=BenQ&toolid=20012&mkevt=1
      For Ultra Short Throws, just about any one will work. This eBay link should take you to a search: www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?LH_TitleDesc=0&_from=R40&_nkw=epson%20projector%204%20wi&_odkw=epson%20projector%204&_osacat=0&_sacat=0&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313#item48f9791d54&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338786782&customid=&toolid=20012&mkevt=1
