    CORRECTION: Sorry, the Autarchs CAN'T farm CP when off the board, forgot that their rule requires them to be on the battlefield (unlike, say, the T'au Ethereal). It doesn't change where I'd rank them!

  • @jackofn0trades29

    Autarchs not being able to join aspect warriors is such a cold move considering that you have to have both experience in every aspect plus be an experienced leader in order to wear the cloak of many colors.

      That’s kind of the Aeldari in general. They have some of the coolest looking units and lore out of all the factions and yet their recent lore has been treating them like a joke.
      That’s why I’m making Aeldari my 2nd faction cause I love their aesthetic and design aswell as their background lore despite GW being insistent on never giving them a W.

They have always over performed for me (except against tyranids) since almost every army brings at least 2 vehicles and they can reliably kill at least 1 a turn. By the late game if they are still alive they make really good units for skirmishing and finishing off units or doing secondaries. Plus with their invulnerable save they are surprisingly durable and are able to survive a good amount of firepower so they can make a decent distraction carnifex as well.

    Cant say I agree in the placement for Harlequin troupes and the shadowseer. Ranking the shadowseer anywhere but the very bottom tier seems odd - without some other support harlequin troupes just do very little damage, so getting them into melee faster is only a marginal benefit and the shadowseer does nothing else. There are better units for objective holding as well, so I dont really see what job troupes with a shadowseer do. Having them in the same tier as the lynx, which is a pretty solid unit, seems bizarre.

For 160 pts with not enough defence (they die to dedicated antitank as easy as cheaper eldar hulls or other faction's equivalents, so they rarely ever reach melee) and ws/bs 4+ instead of 3+ (they are also mediocre offensively, terribly so if -1 to hit) they are way to expensive
    Wraithknights also tier 4 IMO. Ok It was fairly undercosted at launch, but know with all the nerfs, too random stats and less defence that a questoris Knight 510 points is way too expensive

I'm not sure what I want to take infantery-wise against them because specially Grey Knights and Custodes are pretty tough because of mostly sv 2+ rolls. Not sure if stuff like Rangers, Guardians, Dire Avengers etc. will do anything against them...

    • @samhunter1205
      @samhunter1205 10 месяцев назад +1

      2+ save infantry can be an issue for Eldar, but the solution is really just to pack an obscene amount of anti tank. Custodes and GK are expensive enough that shooting them with bright lances is usually fine for efficiency. Of the three units you mentioned, here is how I would use them in the meta you discuss:
      Rangers: these aren't going to be damage dealers, I would use 1-2 units as cheap scoring units.
      Guardians: the only use for these since the SoF changes is to collect dust on a shelf. Certainly don't play them in competitive games.
      Dire Avengers: even though they only have ap-1, I still think these can have a place. Vs that much power armour I would consider a unit of 10, used in conjunction with the bladestorm stratagem for some additional ap.
      Really though, battleline infantry has always been a weakness for Eldar,.more specialised units is typically where it is at. Especially if your opponents are playing grey Knights, with all the teleporting nonsense, keeping your infantry alive will be tricky.

      something i came up with, alternatively you could delete the voidscarred and 5 banshees for your other wraithlord, but if you are a casual player I think you would like to play with those awesome banshee and voidscarred sculpts
      So you have the one farseer (warlord) with the defender squad with bright lance on your home objective farming and rerolling fate dice with the enhancement, the other squad is for more mobile capturing in the middle, the banshees should always be completely hidden close to an objective so they can bomb the objective with advance and charge, fight first.
      The wraithlord should shoot and try to get further up the board, be sure to always have parts of him covered for cover and or just put him behind something so he cant be shot.
      voidscarred should scout onto objectives and be cannonfodder and annoying, and the bikes should harrass the further objectives and score you primaries.
      you can also put the banshees in reserve, but if they fail your charge thats a 170 points down the drain.
      Hope this helped!

    • @samwild6630
      @samwild6630 10 месяцев назад

      Will probably have to splash into at least a couple of point scoring units like hawks, spiders or rangers at 2000pt games.
      At lower points, wraithguard with seers are really hard to stop.
      You could make blades work in a wave serpent as well.

    Keep in mind that the Redemptor is one of the best SM units in the dex.
    And yet here we have the Wraithlord at 40 pts less, and its considered mid.

    autarch cant generate cp whilst in reserves as it states he needs to be on the battlefield.
    where as other cp generaters such as ethereal for tau doesnt state have to be on the battlefield he gets to use the ability on a 4+ to generate 1 CP compared to his which is guaranteed but again only if he is on the battlefield.

      At least in 6th & 7th when I played a lot they had access to a lot of customization, great psykers, good range, and good mobility. So you could tailor them vs the meta easily when listbuilding and when you got to the table it was possible (not always easy) to get a lot of your units fighting what they were good at. Add in better psyker support and negating opponents psykers further buffed your best so it looked like you just rolled over things.

  • @ruas4721
    @ruas4721 10 месяцев назад +4

    Scorpions Tier 3? Thats just a bad joke, they suck completly and the claw is the worst fist in the game. Garbage unit, no better than Banshees.
    Fire Dragon Tier 2? You need so much work to make them any good and worth their points, not terrible, but definitly not strong. Same for Avengers. They are only playable with Asurmen, without him the unit is garbage.
    Autarchs have good special rules, but are completly useless in fight (bad profile + no combat units available for them). So they suck, even if you have to play one.

    It's funny to make eldar units tier list. Most armies are struggling to field units that are at least as strong as "bad" eldar units, some armies can only field units that are at most as strong as "weak" eldars.

    I recently played a game last weekend with my Eldar army and this is what I noticed:
    1.Fire Dragons Slap the SHIT OUT OF TANKS
    2.Wraithlords are tough and they SLAP
    3. Fire Prisms SLAPS
    4. Farseers can make your Wraithlord or Fire Prism even more harder to kill thus AGGRAVATING THE OPPONENT!! And that's always funny 🤣🤣🤣
