We have a 2014 Mercedes Benz AMG CLA 45! i personally have always like the look of these cars and think they are a great size for a little sporty coupe/sedan! The current market value here in aus on a early model CLA45 is around 50k for a good condition low km one.. high km ones are going for as low as 40k! this is near half price from when they where new!!! witch means these are actually getting somewhat affordable! the one i tested was really well spec'd out had 42,000km on it and is for sale for 48k... n i got a tell you i think that was a good deal, truthfully.
love it or hate it you cant argue its performance numbers and AMG quality.. and i think its a great little performance car!

Nice review. Had a 2014 CLA45 AMG. Loved it for 5 years and then....... a car pulled out in front of me with little time to react. Totaled and not a scratch on me! Went out and purchased a 2019 AMG CLA45. I’m in love all over again. Awesome car!

FreshPick Nz no issues what so ever. Really enjoyed the car.
Ahmad Alsheikh only cost was gas. My maintenance was built into the purchase. So, I’m not sure about that. It’s a great car!

Great review Ross , the price of parts has always scared me away from German cars and they're very hard to work on. We used to run when one came in for repair. Looks like a fun car to drive, thanks for the honest review Ross.

Thinking about getting one. 4cyl, great MPG, high tech in the 2018+ ambient lightning in some, 4 doors and those CRACKLES! The value is there
they are a good car just try to buy one thats been taken care off as always :) lot of boost goes through these

Car seems like the recipe for success just wish it would have had a higher redline so you could really ring that thing out probably possibly with a Dyno tune
the later versions got a engine power increase and man are they quick.. i did a performance review on one if ya wanted to check that out.. but yes really good recipe of power, sportiness, and luxury from AMG :)
Nice review man. Wish you would have tried out race start & then gave your assessment of how hard it pulls. Without race start activated, you haven't seen what it can do yet.

@@Adonis8989 i like it alot i just wrecked it about a month ago and it was surprisingly cheap to pay out of pocket to get it fixed i hit a curb cause i was on my phone going like 50 so i snapped the tie rod and bent the strut and the lower control arm and shredded a tire and a wheel so about 3k later its good as new

Birmingham racing just been through the process ..I traded my TTS for a CLA 45 because the RS3 2015 similar miles and same year was $10,000 more . I could t justify the money ...

Interested that you think an Evo is quicker? It's 0 to 60 and quarter times are infinitely slower. I think Evo's just rattle more with lower build quality so feel quicker. Interested in your thoughts
I was probably talking on experience with modified evos 😅
it’s not “computing” it’s literally a clutch engaging just something to deal with when owning a dual clutch

I'm doubting wich one i should get as my next car between the mercedes cla 45amg & the bmw m4. I would love the m4 because it's RWD but obviously we all know what it sounds like 🙄
really depends on what you want.. i think the CLA45 is better for practicality and driving in the CBD.. out on the open road the M4 prob has the edge tho as its just a little more sporty (bigger engine) (coupe)..

They aren't really in the same league - the CLA is ultimately an A class chassis, Mercedes absolute entry level budget platform, and even with all the extra engineering work they did to it for the CLA-45AMG, it's still super compromised as a performance car though has a good level of practicality to go with the performance. The M4 was developed specifically to be a high performance sports car and therefore has far fewer compromises from a performance perspective but is much less practical. Really comes down to what kind of car you need. Either way they are going to cost you an arm and a leg to maintain, so I'd not be going after either of them if you don't have plenty of money left over for maintenance, and I wouldn't go for a high mileage version of either.
I need help lol there’s a 2014 cla amg 45 for sale here in Illinois there asking 23k before taxes. It has 50k miles, same car as the video just with a different interior on the seats. Need opinions if it’s a good deal or if it’s worth buying. I love the way it looks 🥵
im not familiar with USA prices.. but this car is still 100% worth buying! so much fun and beautiful design.. i would recommend you search your local prices out and then just make sure the car has been taken care of.. maintenance records essential.

Yujia Jiao was a completely stock car from my knowledge.. this cars sound really good on hard acceleration 👌

it should be ok at only 90K but lets be real its still a AMG and its a very HIGH BOOST car.. so you will want a warranty if you can get one... mostly depends on how the car was driven and treated.. still wouldn't buy it if i wasn't financially free

I just bought a 2014 cla45 back in April this year fully loaded white on black with the ten spoke black rims and red all around premium interior package and let me tell u, once u put catless down pipes on them or even just a muffler delete dude just a muffler delete alone makes the car 10x louder it’s insane videos on RUclips doesn’t do justice like when I dropped my car off to get it done I was like nah can’t be that much of a difference bc RUclips it didn’t sound much louder lol… boy was I completely wrong the revs and down shifts are so loud my neighbors 15 houses down the street always tell me they hear me when I’m coming before turning down my street. And I just got catless installed bruh.. 😂 enjoy. I think the looks for this car compared to the other two and if u don’t cheap out on the spec snd options like definitely need amg exhaust which is the black tips and bucket seats bro ur golden for the price and once tuned it’s fast. I’m going to get a stage 2 soon and should be pushing about 440 but stock it’s already fun trust me let me know what u end up getting and if u wanan see my car because I did a decent amount of cosmetics on the exterior I’ll send u my ig maybe it’ll help u decide what u want lol
dont recommend the subbie, old tech and over priced..
CLA45 is great but make sure you find a lower mileage one, as they run a huge amount of boost from factory id be worried about high mile ones..
I love the Charger so its a hard one.. lol depends what you want from the car..
CLA45 = fun little pocket rocket + luxury feel
Charger = V8 american muscle, good for straight line runs and V8 sounds, its big tho and not nearly as premium feeling
@@RossReviewsau eh depends tbh as long as you know how to check all ur fluids and do the services. Mines at 66k miles runs great and I paid 26k fully loaded. I could of gotten ones maybe low 30’s with like mid high 40’s mileage but then I wouldn’t atleast from what I’ve found within a 5 hour drive from me no amg exhaust package or red interior two biggest things I’ve wanted oh and bucket seats. If I wanted my spec with lower mileage I would of paid high 30’s. And I love the cla for what it is but at that point I would of just went for a 2016 used c63 for mid 40’s

@@RossReviewsau I can get one used, a 2014, with stage 2, the transmission got changed a month ago, it's honda dealership selling it, I can buy a warranty for 3 years, motor, transmissions, drive train etc. Should I buy it ? it has 95 k kilos.

Top end speed high, but upshift too fast a bit, pick up speed not that fast...
Feenie Lee it is slow to pick up unless you use launch control but the speed you can carry through corners is unreal

its not in straight line driving.. only in launch control can you actually feel all that power.. in the corners tho this thing is a beast
The paddle shifters are aftermarket and those are the AMG performance seats Recaro did not make them. 🤦🏻♂️
they are Recaro Seats...you can look up that optional upgrade if you like
They literally have recaro badges in them on the side they’re small but they are there

Recently drove one for 10 days. Overall, cheap feel and build quality, dreadful fuel economy, and not very fast. Very disappointing.
there is a BIG difference in trim levels.. so some will feel cheap.. fuel economy is not great but its a performance car.. to be expected. it is fast come on lol what are you comparing it to? i will say tho it does not feel the fastest in a straight line, you need to be in the corners to really feel the speed. the facelifted model got launchcontrol n that really sorted the Straight line feel
what the hell man "not very fast" i dont know of any vehicles pulling 0-60mph in 4.2 in this price range. regardless the cla45 will smoke almost all other vehicles around you unless you live in some gated community lamboland. For quality yea i agree its not as nice as an s class.

i dont think so as long as you get it for a good price.. and... have money to maintain it.. parts will be expensive but it maintained properly and not flogged out should last easily to at least 200+km
Thinking of buying one for 21k it has 61k miles
just remember the maintenance cost on them is HIGH.. if you can get a good warranty with it then go for it

I found a few 2014 CLA45 with under 70k miles for sale between 25-28k
just be careful of service history.. if its been taken care of and you can get some sort of warranty.. really great cars! i'd be scared tho if its at the top of your budget and the engine is close to 100k miles.. these engines use a LOT of boost from factory so not sure how long they will cope

If you can't afford the maintenance then you should not buy this car. All brakes and rotors cost me close to $3k. I also had the clutch replaced which would have cost me a packet if it was not under warranty
agreed but so many people try to buy these and don't realise the maintenance costs lol let alone fuel and insurance..
A lot of them are now for 26-36k not 50k lol

Leviathan I will give you that I forgot about the 440 but I think it was not called the worlds fastest production 4cyl because it was made in such low numbers and only for the uk.. according to the internet tho the CLA45 was the fastest production 4cyl n still is with the 2020 CLA45.. 🤷♂️
The reason why is because professional drivers have got this thing as low as 3.8-6 in 60mph which is equal to the fq 440 and is produced throughout the world
An Evo doesn’t do 4.5 0-60 , so I don’t know what this guy is talking about
If you look up Evo 0-60 times they are claimed about 4.5 4.7 seconds..
Stock for stock CLA45 beats Evo
i agree tho from the lights the evo feels faster unless you have the CLA45 in launch mode (but its quite a process)
