- In this video you can see a Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4Matic which has been fitted with a pretty loud Fi Exhaust system. We saw this CLA 45 AMG making some launch controls and drag races during the 2017 Spring Event and we also saw it during the 2017 Cars and Coffee Dordrecht and Strada 2017.

Cant wait to buy one of these, I own a cla250 and its the best car ive ever owned, all i need now is the amg performance to be complete, i love the other mercedes amg models, but the cla is the one for me, its light, nimble, and fast, the other amgs are at least 500 lbs heavier or more and its noticeable, the power weight ratio here is amazing

Im Vergleich zum hässlichen CLA schon, ansonsten ist BMW in allen Hinsichten...simpler. Gerade was die Fahrer angeht, speziell die 3er ;-)

The comments are overflowing with V8/V6 tears. The days of needing a large engine for higher engine displacement are practically over. This is an impressive 4 cylinder engine. Sure it sounds meh, but for the price you pay and the performance you get out of the 2 litre engine, you'll be putting quite a few cars to shame.
agree, although I wouldn't say the days are over necessarily. But does anyone know the durability of these hi hp 4cyl.engines?
If those days were over Mercedes wouldn't keep putting turbo v8s and turbo 12s in the highest trim levels of their other models
You will always need a larger engine for higher engine displacement. That’s literally what a larger engine does, increase displacement... I think what you meant to say is that there is no need for a large engine to make more horsepower...
@Fredo Bull definitely agree with you. Enjoy paying for repairs once warranty expires. Look into the fuel pressures and turbo pressures pal. That engine is so highly stressed it ready to pop. I wonder why 1.6L F1 engines don't last long. The 57 people that liked his comment are deprived of common sense. My tuner has a shop vehicle with 1 million kms on it running 800hp and no issues to speak of. It's a 5L Supercharged V8 Ford

Can anyone explain to my why a CLA45AMG is faster than an SLS AMG
4 Matic and launch control basicly. These decked out but small turbo engines with a zillion computers behind it will take off like a rocket from stand still. A naturally aspirated engine, like the SLS AMG will blow the CLA away in a rolling start. Also 4 matic will prevent you from spinning your wheels so you will have 100% of the power moving you forward from the first second, where the SLS AMG might have had some wheelspin, were power is lost in spinning the wheels but not moving forward.

Why are they dragracing a 4matic vs rwd cars it just makes sense that the rwd cars loose
off the line acceleration is pretty cool but mid range is lacklustre. The times I got overtaken by a Golf GTI was embarrasing.

Não meu amigo de igual só o nome, cla 45 e amg, os carros das Mercedes que se denominam amg significam que é uma linha a cima de convencional, focado em desempenho e também em estética, por isso a diferença de preços, simplifiquei pra que vc entenda, tá respondido

The CLA is definitely chipped (if not also tuned in other ways). Although the 0-100 times are very good at 4.4sec, some of the cars it raced should have definitely beaten it.
at 4.4 seconds it is definitely not chipped. I own one and that's what it runs stock. Mine is tuned however and I do 3.8 seconds. With better tires, i would probably do 3.6

@@Joa405 een SLS is niet gemaakt voor drag racing, de California eigenlijk ook niet, beide zijn meer GT style autos.
Lil Lexus de cla is ook niet gemaakt voor dragracing, het pk verschil is zodanig veel dat de sls wel moet winnen
@@Joa405 op dit soort korte afstanden vind ik het opzich niet raar dat die kromme banaan wint, 4wiel aandrijving samen met een lager gewicht geven een redelijk voordeel op dit soort stukjes. Kijken we naar langere afstanden zoals snelweg pulls dan is de SLS ongetwijfeld de winnaar met een hogere topsnelheid.
Lil Lexus is denk ik ook een technologie kloof qua launching

My CLA have factory exhaust, and its silent, but fast. I am not a fan of this loud noise. Most young boys like it, as u easy read comments how old they are. They not even own a rotten golf.

first class fart machine, vroeger zat er nog een motor in een auto, nu moeten we het stellen met een 1.6sje of 2L die getuned is tot 5000pk met 6 turbo's, geef mij maar een dikke v8 of eventueel vr6 ofzo, deze shit is gewoonweg belachelijk, hoor dat nou toch!

Ik rijd nog altijd met een 3.2 vr6 en een 3L diesel dus niet echt een uitvlucht imo, ik sterf nog liever dan met iets te rijden dat zo klinkt ook al is het retesnel, tis gewoon een mislukte patserbak dit, willen maar niet kunnen. Poor mans AMG isset
swansmeister voor de prijs vind ik de cla45 erg goed te doen, en het is ten slotte een 4 cylinder. Maar wel een 4 cylinder met meer dan 300pk :D
