Haven't seen my daughter since she was 10 months old. It will take me a life time to swallow that shame but lessons were learned and I wake up everyday with purpose and preparing for the opportunity to earn a leading role in her life. Father's be good to your daughter's. Men be good to your woman.

One of the most legendary performances of any piece of music ever. I would give anything to have been at this show.
I used to play this song to my girlfriend (now ex-girlfriend).
It’s incredible on how the lyrics match to my story with her. Cause i really couldn’t avoid what happened, and, after the breakup, i still did everything i could do, but, “it had nothing to do with me”.
But her father is a awesome guy hahaha.

His dad Dr. Richard Mayer was my high school principal in Bridgeport, CT. Sorry, I never crossed paths with John as I did a lot of performing with bands in CT and NY. Would have loved to sing with him. Love this song Daughters. Hope to get to see John live once this pandemic is over. Listening 12/29/20 waiting on 2021!!!! Happy new year all!!!!

I agree. I still listen to his first three albums all the time. Wasn't really a fan of any of his albums after Continuum. Inside Wants Out, Room for Squares, Heavier Things and Continuum are really the only releases from Mayer I love
I listen to where the light is about 10 times a week and this came to be my fav song out of the whole show... the guitar and the slide guitar mix so well together, the whole thing is perfect in every way
Sempre fui fã do @johnmayer e essa canção sempre me marcou, talvez pelo desejo de ser pai, tive meu primeiro filho em 2017 e em 2020 no meio da pandemia minha esposa estava gravida de uma menina e essa musica passou a ter mais significado ainda pra mim, disse que essa musica seria a musica da minha filha, porem em dezembro de 2020 já com 8 meses perdemos a bebe (Isabella) por conta da covid, foi muito triste, mas essa canção, ahh essa canção rs... me falta ar quando ouço ela, ficou marcada na minha historia.♥♥♥
