Yes I believe that most of the where on that pocket knife has been done while riding in the pocket. Very nice vintage Camillus manufactured Buck knife. Stay safe, blessings, cheers. 😊
Man, what a great knife!! Camillus really supported a lot of knife brands back in the day!! This is a fine specimen you have here!! Thanks for sharing this one with us!!
Not mint but nicely worn, not abused, the blades still in great condition, the awl is interesting tool, these tend to be pricey if in great condition, thanks for sharing it, TK.
Nice! The only 300 series Buck I have is the 313, they call it a muskrat, but it’s more of a moose, since it has a clip and Spey. It’s the exact same knife as the Camillus made Remington 9506, that had green and yellow saw cut delrin. Camillus made such great knives up until their last few years. I’m on eBay a lot, you don’t see these ranchers that often, especially in such good condition. Most buck 300 series knives on eBay have main blades that were whittled down to nothing. Ppl used them. Great find for sure. And I think it’s cool they used carbon steel on the awl. Since Camillus made these, I’m assuming it’s 440a and not the 420hc buck is known for. Either way, cool video and great cattle knife.
That sounds right to me about the blade steel, Joel. Ones in better condition than this can really go up in price, so I'm satisfied for what I paid and you're right so many of them have blades half gone. Thanks for having a look.
VERY nice knife, I love the Camillus made Buck knives. When Buck took over their pocket knives, they became more basic ( no longer refined! ). Please, no controversy, just an old man's opinion 😊😊
That's a beautiful knife. Funny, it seems camillus made knives for a lot of American companies back in the day. Cold steel carbon V blades for example. Sad they are no longer the mainstay they once were
I've got one of these I bought brand new from an Ace Hardware store on Boutte, Louisiana around 1980-81. The sawcut marks on the scales are almost completely worn off and it's been sharpened many, many times. If that knife could talk, I'd probably be in jail!!

Thanks for taking a look Phillip. A cool older 300 series knife. I really like it.

Camillus OEM'd their ass off, didn;t they? Thanks BigJ.
Excellent find John, it's in pretty good shape too! Not jealous at all... 😅
It's just nice enough. The blades were decent and I didn't want to spend a fortune on one. Thanks, Slippy.
I really enjoy the used / vintage knife videos . I hope you keep them coming .
Great review . 👍
I'll always be buying some used stuff, but it's gonna be more of a focus for '24. Thanks Michael.
I hadn't ever seen that model before. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching, Eric. Something a little different than a regular stockman.
Superb John. Man, do I ever miss Camillus. Take care…
Agree. They are sadly missed. Thanks, Jeffrey.
Beautiful knife. Looks similar to a stockman. I love the look of it
Yes, it's essentially a stockman with a punch instead of sheepsfoot. Thanks, Jason.

The nicer ones will go for well over 50 dollars. Trying to be "Thrifty". Thanks, Jose.
Very cool knife John!! Might be fun to send it in for the $7 spa treatment.
Nah I'm happy with it. It cleaned up pretty well. Leaving it original. Thanks, Randy.
I've never seen one before. Thanks for sharing it. 🙏
Glad to provide a look, Michael. It's a terrific model.
Wicked cool find, buddy!
Thanks,David. 👍 The Buck 300 series is intriguing.

Interesting Buck knife. Thanks for showing it to us. 👍
A fun model. I'd been looking for a while for it. Thanks for watching, Radio Geek.

None, taken Old. The blade shape and nail nick on the clip blades as seen here are my preference. Thanks for having a look.
Beautiful
Thank you, Oz. Cheers!
Just plain cool
Glad you like it, Zen. Probably my favorite in the 300 Series, though there are some other challengers. Take care.
Looks like a good one!
Thanks very much. Condition enough to be a user. Thanks, Eliel.
Nice Knife >>>>>> Thank you .
Thanks very much Sameer. I hope you are doing well.

Yes, very sad. I enjoy them from the secondary market now.

Well try and behave then would you. It's a great knife. Thanks, Russel.
I really like the Buck 319 Rancher, they’re getting harder to find.
Among the the 300 Series it was the first I wanted to seek out. Glad you like it, Prop.
@@ThriftyKaniffy Another one you rarely see is the discontinued yellow 301
nice buck- I got an older buck off ebay I am trying to work on- although its pretty bad
Well I hope our last Live provided some good clean up tips, Kathleen. Thanks for watching.
