I love it when you do these run downs of under $10 knives! You sir, are the "King of the Budget Knives! " The bottle opener on the Marbles GI knife is definitely suspect. The Schrade Pal is like a single blade peanut - pretty cool. The Rite Edge knives seem to fly under the radar. They aren't perfect but they have some interesting patterns. I really like that little RR 137. I've had it for a while and it's great. That copperstone lockback began life in the Colt Line up. it's a pretty cool little knife. I like the next gen covers on Uncle Henry. Sure wished mine didn't have the shield on the wrong end and upside down. At first I was going to say this was like a an infomercial for knives but it was more like a fashion show with the announcer going over the latest trends from the industry. I really like the format!
Thanks Tobias. I started out thinking I'd have maybe 15 knives, but I just kept finding more that I wanted to include. Glad you like these style videos they seem to be pretty well received.
👍 The prices may have changed slightly since you posted this Father’s Day video, but I just saw it in time for Christmas. Absolutely great display of good value knives for about US$10.00. Thank you for sharing.
So I'm watching this almost a year later in 2023, just before this father's day, and I've got to say, youve hit a home run with your selection here. I think any dad would appreciate any of these knives. 👍
I just recieve a clone of the Bugout and a Spiderco. For 20 box each. That is of course not the same quality but i am so happy. Because they are ceap and i will be not afraid to use them !! ^^
Thank you, a brilliant idea for a vlog, I have some of the fantastic collection shown already and funny enough, the small Barlow although in white smooth is on order for a Father’s Day present from my daughter, along with the Schrade Old Timer Barlow 280OT Thank you again Take care Sam
@@ThriftyKaniffy Hi TK, just a quick update I just received the small RR Barlow in white bone and the Old Timer Barlow, very pleased two great knives in their own special way, both are very well made and look fantastic, thank for bringing them to my attention. Take care Sam
“User-“ of the 4 knives in this video that I own, I like the Rough Rider RR1078 lock back best. For a new Boy Scout, I’m thinking the Marbles GI utility knife MR-278 would be more practical. Its basic design goes back to a knife manufactured for our WWII soldiers.
The Blue Mule Canoe and the Stripe Sowbelly for me. Thanks TK for the comprehensive gift list, advanced Happy Father's Day! The Barlow should be arriving here July 19th :)
That's quite the selection! I liked the Mora and Schrade large sodbuster. Had a classic carbon med toothpick, but snapped the blade trying to get it centered.🤦♂️ Thanks TK!
Imperial IMP22Y is a great little knife. I have one and carry it a lot, fit and finish is spot on, blade was razor sharp. It takes a good edge and keeps it a decent amount of time. Great knife for the cost and I highly recommenced it to anyone who like Sodbuster knives.
Would up the price limit in the UK to say £15 as many knives are a little bit more expensive including the RRs. A great selection there TK, really liked the blade on the black RR work knife.
If the kids can't pony up a score for father's Day they should be ashamed of themselves!!! You know mom had way more than a score spent on her... Could be like my daughter and not remember at all...
Well not a 10er the Brother lock back Tumbleweed Sodbuster style. Clam pack. Smooth lick up and release! Fabulous fit and finish. $11.99 at Tractor Supply.
I would be proud to receive any of these as a gift from my son . Then he would borrow it and promptly lose it ...........But , hey the thought would be there. Great Video/channel . Peace , Be Free .
That Blue Mule canoe is the one and only RR knife I’ve ever had an issue with. When I got mine it was gaps for days, but at the price point I didn’t bother sending it back.
I really like that Rough Ryder yellow Delrin Stockman. I've had hit or miss luck with Rough Ryder knives. They're usually at least nice, especially for the money. I've gotten some that were nearly flawless gems though. Some look so nice I almost don't want to use them LOL. If they're carbon steel, I'll plunge the blade into a pear or apple to see how soon I can get a patina going. That T10 doesn't patina so fast like 1095, especially with mirror finish on it.
I can't stress how much I trust buck knifes over switch I get them to go fishing camping outdoors yes switch blades are fast but if you want a reliable blade old school is the way to go.
How are you doing brother? At the beginning of the video the second knife on your list with the four blades where could I get that one from? I think I missed it which website what I go to for that one the second knife with the four blades at the beginning of the video thank you very much brother thank you for doing all the research for me making my gifts purchasing a lot easier.
Is the Blue Mule Muskrat as good as the Canoe? As I've said, I have the canoe already. I was going to buy four or five more Blue Mules to give away to my cousin's kids, and an extra for me. That's a good looking, relatively rugged, no BS series of knives.
This a great inventory of great knives from Chicago Knife Works with great prices for knives. However, unless you do not make a $100 dollar order the shipping cost could cost as much as some of the knives do. If you can visit the the store that makes lots great deals you can buy. However, it is a quandary about the costs of buying budget price knives if you have it sent by mail. SMKW has a $4 dollar shipping minimum plus tax. The same knife might cost more or less, depending on where you buy it. To get free shipping from SMKW requires a $75 dollar order for free shipping. If you have to spend $100 to $75 dollars to get free-shipping makes bargain prices not such a bargain. The truth is; how much it cost to get the knife, as much as the selling price. I bought a $10 dollar toy from the UK and it cost $29 dollars to get it. That is how much the toy really cost. 😂😅🤣🤔
SMKW is offering free shipping through the 20th of the month. CKW has first class shipping for calculated weight under a 1lb. which is typically $4-5. If you can't spend $15-17 dollars on a knife for your Dad that probably says more about the buyer than it does this video.
Great video. It gave me a lot to consider outside of the usual suspects when it comes to folders. Any idea if Chicago Knife Works ship internationally?
I beleive they do ship internationally. Here is a copy of the blurb from their website: International Shipments: International shipping method selected by customer does not include any duties and taxes liable for import. The recipient of the order will be responsible to bear all duties and taxes, at the time of delivery.

I'm glad it was useful even still. Inflation has really been bad the last couple of years. Thanks, M.E.
What a change a year makes. Chicago KW now wants nearly $7 for USPS shipping per knife. Nearly doubles the price of any knife here.
Inflation sucks. Really tired of price hikes. Thanks, Preppy.
Happy Father's Day! Fantastic knife selection. Great guide to budget knives.

It takes a bit more effort with the mirror finish.

The covers of the celestial series contain phosphors. If you shine a light on the knife, charging it, so to speak, it will glow a little in the dark.
