All of them are beautiful knives; I don't own any Rough Ryder knives, yet, but I plan on buying one or two to see what the deal is. Thank you for sharing the video. 😎✌️
Absolutely fantastic John…….I wasn’t expecting anything different I knew you had the heavy hitters…… I enjoyed messin around with you because I knew you were going to bring it and I love it…… it was super fun and I throughly enjoyed it……. Thanks John for showing those awesome Rough Ryders that a small class of people enjoy……. Great affordable knives to collect and I’m loving mine….. looking forward to see what comes next……. Thanks again John for all you do and being a fantastic guy in the community 😊oh and I have to say that sowbelly bone stole the show for me……. What a banger you put that up and I fell off my chair 😮
This an Awesome & Beautiful assortment of Rough Riders! The vintage ones are King in my opinion. I have four of the ones you have shown. The favorite ones to me (of the ones shown) are the Orange smooth bone Sunfish and the Abalone Barlow (I have the Abalone copperhead). That Stag sowbelly is also Great! (Surprised you didn't show that other Pearl/Abalone 2 Blade Copperhead, I bet Pete would Love that one!) Anyway, Thanks again TK I'm jealous of these!...Ha Ha
Nice bunch of unusual RRs! I love the twisted bone series. And the checkered bone covers, too. (I’ve heard that checkered bone is going to make a comeback.) I like the shamrock bolsters and horseshoe shield on the canoe. And the 078. Gotta love RR for variety!
Great collection . I especially enjoyed seeing the vintage models . If you could only keep one of the twenty , which would it be . Myself , I'd go with the French Tickler , but I'd be proud to own any of them.
Howdy TK, thats a beautiful, 'Posse of Pieces' 🤠 seriously packing a punch there my friend 🤩 🇺🇸 👌 I need to do one, for sure 😉 Thanks for sharing buddy, Atb Gus👍
Out of the 10 or so Rough Ryders I have my most used are the T10 denim Micarta moose and the T10 delrin bow trapper . Both are workhorses . My top favorite though is the black and blue elephant toe it’s the purdiest of the bunch .
I’ve gotta say, I’ve been watching your channel for about a year, and you are def the person who showed me how great Rough Ryder knives are. I’ve always carried a knife, but during Covid, I started buying more things online and decided to get myself a modern folder. Loved it, but then I stumbled across your channel and it lit the fire in me, to start collecting slip joints. I edc a Swiss army huntsman, but seeing your in-depth reviews of all the great SMKW knives, I started buying RR and Marbles. Man, such cool knives you can actually use. I now have a decent collection of knives, and watch a few really great knife channels like Tobias, all thanks to you. Now I’m addicted to finding those vintage gems for great prices. Such a great hobby, I like hobbies that are things we can actually use, as opposed to collecting stamps or something. I don’t interact too often in the comments section, but I do really enjoy your content. Your relaxed Texas drawl, compliments the cool knives you show.
Thanks Joe. I really appreciate all the kind words. Glad to have helped inspired some of your interest in collecting affordable knives. There's a lot of great pieces out there that don't require you spend a fortune. Thanks for watching the channel and for your support.
A really great selection TK. Beautiful knives. Probably my favorite Rough Rider pattern (at least out of the older ones) is the Razor Trapper. I believe I have all the variations. I’m not much of a trapper fan but the combination of the large clip point and the one hand opening razor blade makes it a winner for me. As far as the Whittler pattern goes, it has to have a coping blade, or at least a wharncliffe, to make it legitimate. 😊
The French Tickler is the only locking toothpick (to date) from Rough Ryder. it is actually my least favorite of the Rough Ryder Toothpicks (any size). The twisted bone was a pretty cool series but it really came and went quite fast. I'm not sure you know how to count to five
No, I usually lose count at two. Actually, five just didn't seem to do the Rough Ryder brand justice when I've celebrated it as much as I have. Thanks for having a look, TG.
@@4449John d’oh! I stand corrected. I forgot all about it because I shut it out of my memory because of the big “R”. I really should pick it up so that I have all of the mediums.
@@KnifeChatswithTobias Yeah, on the BIG R's we agree, but I like medium toothpicks, they make great steak knives when the ones at the restaurant suck. 😇
Thrifty have you ever seen a RR Armor Hide 6bladed stockman? Ive looked around but havent found any except the 1 I bought at a Trading Post. Killer blades&killer vid knife bro!!
Nice lot of knives there my favorite of the bunch would have to be the corn cob or the twisted but in my opinion my favorite is one that I own tobacco bone barehead trapper there’s no bolsters on it just a really nice bone handle with a lot of grip if you haven’t seen I’d recommend it for sure
The Congress. Specifically the ones with 2 sheepsfoot, 1 coping, and one pen blade. The Seahorse whittler is 2nd only because I would prefer coping blades instead of pen blades for the smaller blades
When I saw the harpoon blade in burl-wood on Tobias channel I looked hard for it. to no avail. Gonna have to do a deep dive again along with another in his gone forever file.
So in essence, he didn't want the sow bellies to hog the video. 🤣👍
Genius. LOL. Thanks Alpine.😄
Excellent!!!
That was good. 😂😂😂👍
Niiiiice! The twisted licorice bone stockman and the stag sowbelly are just gorgeous 🤤
Thank you, Mr. B😋 Liked your recent Half Hawk buy. Need to get that one for sure.

Wow thanks Jersey, nicest comment I've ever gotten from you. Stay safe out there, look both ways, and "Be Prepared".
John you outdid yourself! Really great 5ish collection you have there. You are a true connoisseur. Really great knives. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for providing the open tag, RJ. Rough Ryder offers great variety and that in turn makes for a great brand to collect. Take care, pal.
A very fine collection there, John! Some of those bone covers are stunning! Thanks for sharing, my friend.
Thank you very much, Tom. Very kind.
Wow beautiful collection! You have some great ones!!
Thanks very much, Mike. The video was a fun one to make, glad you enjoyed it.
A great selection. The red sunfish, the blue moon knife and the harpoon blade one, stand out, thanks for showing them!
Much thanks Jose glad you had some favorites. Those are top notch.

It's very nice too, but I didn't want to repeat the series. Thanks for watching the vid, Ted. Your support is appreciated.
Great collection of some unique Rough Rider knives.
Thank you kindly, Gizmo. Glad you enjoyed the selections.
Absolutely wonderful response, buddy! Thanks for showing all these off!
Any time, David. Glad you enjoyed the selections.
The twisted bone stockman is great. I really like it.
Cool handles I think. Take care, Stuart.

Probably the one I showed last. Real stag. Tough to beat that one.
Some pretty amazing rare ones! Thank you for your response video TK.
Absolutely Jeroen. Thanks so much for having a look. I appreciate seeing you in the lives as well, the support means a great deal.
Hey John great video, I have to agree the Rifleman series is beautiful with that crosshatched texture.
Yes, the gunstock bone is a really beautiful handle style. Doesn't hurt to have cool looking inlay/shield as well. Thanks, Mark.

Thrifty, what’s a pinched-bolster? Is it different than a pinned bolster?
A pinched bolster is one where there is a small taper (or pinch) on the front edge. Thanks, Lunar.
@ ohhhhhh. That makes sense. Thanks, Thrifty! They’re mostly on Barlow patterns I assume?
A really great selection TK. Beautiful knives.

That's a pattern I've yet to get. I really liked the lockback razor Jersey showed.
Glad you were able to narrow it down 😅. Nice selection.
LOL. Near impossible. Thanks for taking part North Star.
I like the buckshot bone series got the medium stockman & copperhead
That's a good looking series. Pretty unique looking. Thanks, Rick.
The stag sow belly is great. EBay?
Yes, eBay. The place for all the harder to find stuff.

French Tickler? What about RR1961? Its different but it locks. I picked one up a short while back and it is a bolster lock. I like this ones size.
@@4449John Yes, had forgotten about that one. I preferred the half hawk in that particular series.

Where is the best place to find/purchase a Twisted Bone RR1054 knife
Proabably eBay if you can find one.
Liked the genuine bone sow belly the best
Me too, John. It's done quite well.
Does rough ryder use real bone? Iv thought about picking a few up
Yes, they use it quite often.
Are these knives good for EDC or simply collectors?
Absolutely. Some better than other of course depends how hard you use them.
