Nice buck collection... I have that buck 313 muskrat I found at a garage sale awhile back for $5. I brought it home cleaned and oiled it, it was pretty dirty but works great now. I like the clip/spey blade combo and the style and how comfortable in the hand it is. It's a real shame they don't make these older style options anymore. Thanks for sharing the history on the 313 and your collection.
Best Buck slipjoint collection I've ever seen! That 307 Wrangler is a real show-stopper, buddy. Wonderful knife. Thanks for the look at all these together!
Very nice collection. Several of my 700 series have script style tang stamps and Shields. I also, learned the Schrader made a lot of the early slip joints for Buck, but because of not using solid pivot pins, this whole issue cost Buck a lot of warranty claims. That is when Family's was given the contract for continuing the 3xx production. It is my impression the the 7xx series was the early 5xx series . All of these are great pocket knives. Enjoy your videos and information you share! Great content!
This really was a fantastic video! That is definitely a collection to be proud of. I hope you can find the 700 series knives to fill out your cool collection. Have a delightful day!
Very nice Bucks Tom. Still looking for a 307, they are hard to find. Thanks for showing these. I like this series you are doing on your Buck collection.👍⚓
Thanks, Big J! Catching Buck fever is easy to do, and once you have the fever, it never goes away. Sorry my friend, you are doomed! lol Thanks for stopping by!
Very nice 301 I’m gonna have to get a Rosewood Buck folder Sweet 302 Chairman’s Nice 303s I have one of those in Valox Sweet little 305s Sturdy 307 I’d call that 309 a Pen Well used 311 not 382 or 384 Trapper Moose being called a Muskrat 313 321 Bird Knife 703 Colt Sweet and stout 709 Yearling large pen elegant Gentleman’s knife Thanks for a wonderful presentation Tom It was delightful
Sorry for giving you so much research work there Tom, but it's an awesome series. The hook of the bird knife goes in the right ear doesn't it? The 700 series seems to have more dna in common with the 110, so i don't understand why they didn't sell better. I hope Buck will take more models into USA production again. Thank you for part 8 Tom, really awesome series.
It was a labor of love, Jeroen! Buck used to make some fantastic slipjoints and its a shame a lot of them are out of production. I am glad you are enjoying the series. I am having fun putting it together. Oh, and by the way, it's the left ear.
Good video Tom very interesting you put a lot of work into it!! I have a question ,how can I tell the date my 703 was made the shield is a little different other than that it's identical to yours Thanks Tom
Very nice collection, thanks for sharing! Where can you find the 300’s that are still made in the states? The only ones that I’ve been able to find are made in China! Take care my friend!
Thanks, Carolina! The only two traditional slipjoint patterns still made in the USA (that I can think of) is the 301 Stockman and the 303 Cadet. They are available on the Buck website and other online knife stores. Please be sure and check out the other parts of my Buck knife collection series! And, I also have a Buck knives playlist. Thanks very much for watching and for your interest!
I suppose they use different shields in order to provide some variety to their knives. It's not uncommon for knife companies to use different shields over the years. Thanks for watching, WW. Have a Delightful Day!

Why does Buck use a different logo " Buck" and others the Hammer and 116 knife?
I suppose they use different shields in order to provide some variety to their knives. It's not uncommon for knife companies to use different shields over the years. Thanks for watching, WW. Have a Delightful Day!
