  • This is "Stars" from Clause-Michel Schonberg's "Les Miserables". In this song, Javert is comparing his hunt of Valjean to the order of the stars.
    I will not send this song to anyone. I encourage everyone to purchase this from iTunes like I did.
    My next video will be "Left Behind" from "Spring Awakening"

    This is such a beautiful song and orchestration. I actually think "Stars" is the very finest song in LES MISERABLES, a show filled with fine songs. By the way, I'm pretty sure the lyric goes "FALLEN from grace," not "FALLING" from grace."

    I'm so glad I'm a soprano because I can sing this really well an octave higher!

    Thank you SO much for making this. I'm doing this in my school play, and thus truly is invaluable for learning it.
    You, sir, are AWESOME.

    I am a soprano and still able to sing this with the exception of a few notes. Best solo ballad in Broadway history,

    I used this instrumental to sing this song at my school talent show.
    I didn't even place but I got a huge reaction for it.

    you can it even if you're a girl !
    everybody can sing this
    if you have a special voice, transpose it !!!

  • @SaintHaHaLOLZ
    @SaintHaHaLOLZ 11 лет назад

    People, the vocal register doesn't matter, the KEY matters. I'm a baritone and am able to comfortably sing a Soprano aria if it's in the proper key.
    Tip: when looking for an audition piece, get a song transposed to a key you're comfortable with.

    Actually the original lyrics are "fallen from grace, fallen from grace." in the original London Musical
    the Broadway version changed it to "fallen from god" for some reason.

    Lol! I'm a bass, so I can do a good chunk of the song but the D's and E's are where I approach my break. The D's aren't usually a problem for me but the E is often impossible.

  • @mayaa7150
    @mayaa7150 11 лет назад

    In the Original London Cast, it was fallen from grace, fallen from grace. I''ve heard other sing fallen from God, fallen from God, and fallen from God, fallen from grace. So I think they all work!

    For me the challenge of this song is the last note. I'm a tenor, so I can belt Gs and As no problem, but belting that D is a huge challenge for me, it's right in the middle of my break. I'll leave this song to the baritones :)

    Arg! Why does every karaoke version go with the annoying "Lord let me find him" version instead of the much more pleasant "keeping watch in the night" version?!

    • @pokemonhero9449
      @pokemonhero9449 7 лет назад

      There's multiple verses. They are both valid lyrics... keeping watch in the night is part of the verse about just stars, Lord let me find him is the ending\
