Right. And this show has never in any way been orchestrated by the producers and Simon Cowell. It’s totally authentic. The thousands of people who come to audition aren’t asked a series of questions in their online application in order to obtain as much of a backstory as possible. The contestants don’t audition for producers several times before actually going on the BGT stage to perform for the judges and the judges don’t have notes in front of them about who’s coming on. No one could ever beat the excitement and the wonder and the biggest shock ever in a singing competition, more than Susan Boyle. She was a huge sensational on the internet.
I love how Susan Boyle blew a kiss to the audience as she exited the stage. We all witnessed the beginning of a new beginnings for Susan and the birth of a great singing career. Bravo!
When Cowell rolled his eyes at Callabro and Amanda Holden sniggered - and when they scoffed at Susan Boyle - really showed that they shouldn’t judge until they’ve heard them sing. THE most memorable audition has to belong to Susan. Ask anyone for the name of someone who’s been on BGT and they will say “Susan Boyle”. She didn’t even win it but has been by far the most successful. ❤️

Love how absolutely exquisite these voices are....finally people see that talent is about heart and interpretation...as well as musicality. Many "singers" rely on other things such as being entertaining and wardrobe..
I always love it when Simon's eyebrows go up within the first 8 notes, that generally means he is not hearing what he expected to hear. Then comes the small smile, you know he is sold on the person auditioning. Then you have the songs that bring simon to tears....
If you listen carefully, there is a hint of breathiness in the top notes where it's near the top of his range. Having said this, the song was written for someone with a very unusually high range, and props to him because I think that's the original key and not brought down a bit like others. This song is so difficult because of the clarity expected in the very top range so I think he did a fantastic job whether he was breathy or clear in the top notes.
@@bookgirl1 That is not the original key. Alex sang it higher. He has an amazing voice, but I was thinking the same thing as Simon the entire time I was listening to him sing.

Beautiful! There are so many singers who PELT out the music. It is a special singer who can bring tears with a quiet, heart-felt rendition of a song carried through the words, melody and heart! Love this!
Alex's performance was breathtaking. I hung on every note, the emotion in his words told a real story.
Beautiful voice Where is he now?
He made the song his own to suit his voice, everyone wants original all the time, but then because it wasn't the original register of the song people didn't like it 🙄
I've seen Susan's audition hundreds of times and it still brings me to tear up.
Today, I've heard other wonderful auditions and I'm really, really crying my eyes out. The five boys were astonishing. They put me to pray.
Thank you so much for posting this. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
She did get to sing with Elaine Page.
Susan Boyle audition almost always makes me cry. Even when I have watched it over 200x. My first time seeing Calabro ...now I have to look them up.
I just want to say thank you for putting Susan Boyle in this! I heard her singing in the background after a few of the other singers were finished and I thought, I need to go watch her again, and then there she was at the end. Perfect!
No one could ever beat the excitement and the wonder and the biggest shock ever in a singing competition, more than Susan Boyle. She was a huge sensational on the internet.
So many thanks to the people caring for the guy's brother who is stuck in his body. Such love and caring.
I love how Susan Boyle blew a kiss to the audience as she exited the stage. We all witnessed the beginning of a new beginnings for Susan and the birth of a great singing career. Bravo!
Alex wasn't auditioning, he was giving a master class in theater singing and showmanship/stage presence!
Alex your audition still brings chills to me. Such raw emotion. Well done.
And the 'boy band' ... they were simply phenomenal! Encore! Encore!
Susan Boyle's audition still gives me goosebumps!
I have a pet goose and listening to her gives it people bumps.
Remember too Paul Potts and Jonathan Atoine, both of whom were met with negative vibes until they started singing. Both went on to become international stars.
@@DD-wd7ku : Good memory! Paul Potts was unforgettable, but I'd forgotten Jonathan Atoine blew me away more than any male Got Talent I've ever seen. I also love twinkle-eyed elfin Celt glass-shattering counter-tenor with the nice baritone, Greg Pritchard. And Gothic young Andrew De Leon.
Susan Boyle’s performance still gives me goosebumps & a big smile after all these years. Good on her.
Short and sweet.. they were ALL FANTASTIC!! I cried through every performance. Thank you all for sharing your beautiful voices with the world! ♥️
😂
Love how absolutely exquisite these voices are....finally people see that talent is about heart and interpretation...as well as musicality. Many "singers" rely on other things such as being entertaining and wardrobe..
all these auditions were absolutely awesome loved each and every one of them
Hello Deborah
I always love it when Simon's eyebrows go up within the first 8 notes, that generally means he is not hearing what he expected to hear. Then comes the small smile, you know he is sold on the person auditioning. Then you have the songs that bring simon to tears....
This young man touched my heart, his voice brought me to tears! Beautifully from the heart!
OhMyGOD, this brought tears to my eyes. Such an outstanding voice. This was an excellent audition. I hope he continues.
Which one? There are several in this video.
A fabulous show....multiple talented people!! Loved the audience support.
I never get tired of hearing Susan Boyle sing I Dreamed a Dream. Her voice just soars and takes us all with her.
Oh, but the young men together for but a month! Pure Heaven!
Absolutely stunning! Simon was wrong about Alex, the purity of ALL his notes was amazing! Outstanding!!
The reason why Simon criticize him is to big himself up
Simon might be a good judge but he is only human.
Simon always finds fault. Just for him to let everyone think he’s got a keen sense of what’s right. A great pretender! 🙄
@@bookgirl1 That is not the original key. Alex sang it higher. He has an amazing voice, but I was thinking the same thing as Simon the entire time I was listening to him sing.
Everybody should see Les Miserable. Most perfect show live.
Saw it at Clowes Hall in Indianapolis Indiana about 25 years ago! Fabulous!!!
I believe that Phantom and Les Mis are the two greatest Broadway shows of all time !
看了25周年的录像,惊呆了!太棒。
Just saw it today in Toronto. Have seen it twice, in 90's with Micheal Burgess and today. Absolutely brilliant.
@@TiVoMan66……couldn’t agree more! I’ve seen ‘P o t O’ 12 times’, & ‘L M’ 14 times’. The live productions’ are more thrilling, than their movies’, imho………
Thanks for putting up these auditions together. now I can watch them everytime .. i had to look up for them from time to time just to see them again .. they are all so good. Both the songs and all the singers .. fantastic.
Yes, me too, in Cape Town South Africa, I cannot forget her audition! Goosebumps and hold back the tears.
Loved seeing a collection of Les Mis selections from various auditions for BGT. All totally heartstrings pulling .
All those singers were great but I need to encourage those emcees who seem like terrific human beings with lots of heart. Thank you!!!
I sung in front of my mom for the very first time, while we were in Ireland! There was a gentleman in the audience at the bar in our hotel, who totally impressed my mom.. he said "brilliant, that was brilliant!". Now I'm definitely more touched at the British "feeling" about that word... because that's all my mom could say. Great memory!
I copy the Brits saying "brilliant" and "rubbish."
Years have gone by since that audition, and I’ve seen it over and over again. And it still reduces me to a blubbering mess every time!
Susan’s audition still makes me cry…..she is really amazing!
Same here. Crying now again.
Brilliant, brilliant!! The group was magnificent!! I could listen to then for hours and hours. How come they didn’t win?
They did in 2014
Yep, they won it all! This is a compilation of Les Miserables songs, not the actual competitions they were each in...
Collabro has always been my favorite from the very first appearance and still is even after the one left the group!
I believe (sorry if I'm wrong)they won in 2014; I was blown away by them, too, even before I knew who they were..
They're doing their farewell tour this year 😕
Why the one left the group?
@@tellyoca3328
The others wanted to kick him out. He over heared it, and left....
Richard (the one who left) wanted to pursue a solo career, and has been successful on his own.
Susan’s audition is the best audition ever on any talent show. She has one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard.
First guy’s voice s incredibly soothing to d ears 👂👍👍👍👏👏👏
Micky did an Excellent job !!! Beautiful
I Never ever get tired of watching Susan's Audition gives me and I'm sure a lot of other people Hope and Faith in Humanity this Audition and Susan will live on as A Beautiful Moment in Time baci x
Susan Boyle did a beautiful job singing " I Dream a Dream " I love that song ,. Les Miserables is my favorite musical. I had tears in my eyes when she sang that beautiful song .
8 years and I still get CHILLS WHEN I HEAR THEIR AUDITION! This winter is their farewell tour!
Oh my gosh. I must get tickets. I love them
Why farewell tour...are they breaking up as a group. If so, that is sad news.
@@leotachaney7322 yes they are going onto other things. There is a clip up on their channel on RUclips
I have goosebumps from this first singer. A gift from God.❤️🤗
Cara, a Boyle canta como um rouxinol, ela é fabulosa!!!! Levou-nos todos a sonhar!
Can never get over the magnificent voice of Susan Boyle, brings me to tears every time🌹
OMG the first one young man was incredible. Had me in tears. Bring him home is such a beautiful song.
I loved the 5 guys. They were so good together and that in only a month. Definitely chemistry as he said. It just worked.
I never ever get tired of Susan Boyle's audition. It was insult to her when they said everyone was against her. I loved that she definitely proved them all wrong.
Mickey song this musical with such heart felt. Beautifully done! 'm sure his grandma in the audience was very proud.👍🙏
Susan Boyle makes me cry everytime...the passion and courage is beautiful.🙏👏💜
Susan Boyle,
This video of her audition never gets old.
Mickey singing Bring Him Home blew me away. A true countertenor!
I’d love to see a group do One More Day from Les Miz.
Les Mis IS and will always be my all time fav musical ever ! Listening to each edition here brings back fab memories of seeing Les in Washington DC and New York City……simply the BEST music from a show EVER!
Collabro and Susan Boyle were my top two! But all others were also very good…….Bravo….
Ahhh...I would list Phantom as tying with Les Mis as the greatest Broadway shows of all time.
@@TiVoMan66 : My favorite is "1776." But "Phantom" great too. Les Mis too downer.
I could watch Colabro’s audition 1,000 times and never get tired of watching Simon’s eye roll and smirk turn into astonishment the minute they start to sing! They are amazing!
Susan Boyle has a fabulous voice. I so enjoyed listening to all of these auditions.
I could…..and did…..watch this a thousand times or more!! One fantastic performance after another!! KUDOS to all who poured their heart and soul with each song!
🔥🎶♥️🎶🎼🎤🎭🎤🎼🎶♥️🎶🔥
Mark took the song home. Blessings to Mark and his family ❤️
Colabro and Susan Boyle unforgottable
Amanda Holden must be genuinely one of the nicest and most sincere people on television. I love the look of sheer delight she gets on her face when someone impresses or surprises her.
And has a lovely voice herself.
Indeed. Love her duet with Sheridan Smith.@@tomvance8522
Beautiful outside of the commercial trash that has taken over the musical world
“Bring Him Home” is one of my favorites from Les Mis. Alex & Mickey were AWESOME!!!!!
My to ,, so nice and AMEZING song 🌹🌹🌹
Susan Boyle is always a wakeup call and special
Thank you Susan for a great life lesson and performance.
As a mother myself, I can relate to the heart this song from Les Miserable. Just raised HUGE goosebumps on top of goosebumps all over me, young man! *Well done, son, well done!!*
I’ve seen this sooo many times and it still makes me cry. DEFINITELY the most wonderful audition EVER !!!
