I would love to see this compared to other major brand phones as well like Samsungs or iPhones. My Sony Xperia 5 III is definitely the hottest running phone I've ever owned to an annoying degree, but I love the SD card slot and audio jack. The phone I retired to get the Xperia was a Galaxy S9+.

There is another thing after my experience of those 2 phones
You will not feel the heat of the phone with Xperia1v The phone will not stop, which is good
I play pubg mobile a lot Previously with Xperia 1 iv I was playing with 60fps PUBG did not support the phone with 90 frames The phone was getting very hot and the fps It decreases a lot after the phone heats up
Now i play pubg mobile with Xperia 1v
With 90fps Fortunately the 90fps Now it is supported in PUBG Mobile for the new Xperia phone
I played for two hours the phone didn't heat up, and the fps stable at 90
    Amazing improvement
PUBG is a heavy game. There are phones that cannot continue without a cooling fan
Also, the nice thing is that Sony supported its phone with a special cooling fan and crazy features called Xperia stream This phone, along with its accessories, is considered an advanced gaming phone, not just a phone for photography and watching movies

I would like to know why the newer Xperia models arent fully functional when using Adroid Auto.. My 5 ii works perfectly, but the upgraded 5 iv can work for the maps but I cannot use the handsfree phone when plugged in Android Auto in, plus it struggled with the overheating issues you are discussing here and was constantly shutting down during normal use. I returned the first handset and had the same issues with rhe second, so I traded up with my o2 contract to the experia 1 iv, which is producing the same issues after just a few days.. Do i go for the 1v or abandon my favouite manufacturer for another?

    Nice video, and important video.....
Also I would suggest that good comparison would be also what speed you can get from "tethering" internet when you have 5G sim. We are in the stage when people use phone for mobile internet.. It would be great to see what speed you can get from which phone samsung, sony or new 1 IV vs 1 V model ... and etc...
What I know there are two speed one is when you thethering through USB.. this is higher, and when you tethering through Wifi (because phone need to convert internet and send it back to the air through wifi..... it means double temperature and proccessing calculation) and this is really interesting because phone also get really hot when you download on full speed and tethering through wifi....
There are also other factors what new technlogy regard 5G is released... for example xperia 1 II and 1 IV has some new 5G frenquencies and etc it means every year there is something that can really change outcome of previous version, also Wifi module is different and also USB module... everything is really various when you look at it and thinking about it...
then you can just simply compare cheap china phone vs sony ... there will be some diferences ... ...
Thanks hope we will see these kind of video too...
