🍀 Hi! I'm currently watching this video on the iphone 14 pro max because the galaxy s24 ultra doesn't have the quality I need and I'm waiting to get the Sony Xperia 1 VI. In my research the iphone and xperia are pretty equal in picture and video quality in this video, although the video is best on the iphone! In the naturalness of the colors, the gamma of the originality of the colors, the sharpness, etc. iphone and xperia are the best! And the pixel sometimes takes successful pictures, the pixel is either too artificial, too dark or light, does not consistently correctly capture scenes and situations. In my observation at the moment, the order is: 1) 15 pro max, 2) xperia 1 VI, 3) pixel, while xperia and pro max are both walking side by side with very high quality. I changed my xperia 1 V to a galaxy s24 ultra and I regretted it pretty much right away because the galaxy is not very high quality, it's more of a quantity chaser, I just don't like the fake color gamut of the galaxy either on its screen or camera, and the galaxy is constantly hot and has other bugs and it's actually a shame because the s24 ultra looks beautiful so I'm replacing my galaxy s24 ultra with an Xperia 1 VI. Thank you!☀️
If you know how to use in-depth video recording, actually I think you'll be surprised by the video quality on Sony. I'm using the 1V right now and I can't admire it enough. Plus if you know how to do video editing, S-Cinetone on Sony is way superior than on iPhone. Other than that, I agree with everything else you have commented.
It’s almost like they’ve made the camera modules in most phones and make some of the best dslrs out there🤔 they’ve been doing the most for a few years now especially on manual mode.
I'm blown away by how much the Sony has improved. Normal it gets steamrolled by everything else but not in this case. Still too pricey especially for a 1080p+ display.
If your phone display Supports 1 billion colors Stop the video at 33 seconds and watch the colors of the grass on the Sony camera. I see many colors of yellow and green grass in different shades, as if it captured by a real human eye. Other phones capture limited colors So Sony has a Technique called color science ( cinealta ) in the Alpha division of cameras, and they talked about it a lot and introduced it into Xperia phones I think in 2019 Also the dog shot at minute 8:5 If the light on a dog’s face comes from the sun, it will naturally have yellowness, so I want to say that the Sony camera engineers are geniuses and It seems that Sony has provided the best macro lens in phones as well
Useless supporting 1 mil as long the display gets burned in random areas, as the noise algorithms are way behind its time and burned pixels in low light photo shooting never fixed by a software noise reduction improvement. LED is useless and so weak set for shooting in any scenario for ultrawide and mostly telephoto (I've tested both IV and V)!
Wow, for me 90% of the pictures i preferred were from the Sony. They really finally upped their game when it comes to auto mode and processing. Genuinely impressed how much better the pictures are compared to last years Sony 1 V, although the camera hardware stayed the same ! They are finally really stepping up in terms of AI and software.
On a bokeh photo on Xperia, there seems to be a lense flare, that could've been fixed just by tilting a shot by less than a millimitre. Also to take in mind, HDR dosn't work in Bokeh mode.
@@FireFox-ch2tu There is a fairly large difference between the brands that are Chinese properly and the brands that manufacture their products in China.
It's impressive how Pixel phones always manage to create pleasant looking images. But I do still prefer my Xperia phones. They just feel so good in the hands and I don't wanna miss the mechanical shutter button, headphone jack and other features.
Xperia 1 VI consistently blows the others out of the water. However that misty photo thing is interesting cause I've seen it occur a lot also on my Xperia 1 ii, it seems likely to happen when light is hitting the camera lens from the side and it messes with the sensor somehow.
Love the Xperia 1vi. I sold my Samsung ultra because the audio quality just wasn't good enough. The Sony 1vi outshines the ultra on wired, wireless and external speakers. And SD card slot. And it's easier to hold and battery life is insane - twice that of the Pixel 8a.
Thank you for the first proper comparison, been searching for days and could only find these fake comparison videos of people pretending to have the Xperia 1 VI. Appreciate it !
I'm interested too but realistically, do we take that much macro in real world usage, and there isn't much variation of macro art and if we want to explore macro world for education purposes, we can just google it right

you know whats weird ? i was ranking the pictures and the sony either always came first or 2nd in every test , so over all it just might be the a great camera phone for sure
Im not sure. But the reason why the iPhone can't properly focus on the flower and the food is probably because the iPhone has very weak minimum focusing distance. I pre-ordered a Xperia 1 Make VI in Singapore on 18th May, and I will get in on around 22nd or 23rd of June.
The main sensor is good on Xperia V but it seems they improved on the other 2 sensors. There is no number 1 among the traditional smartphone companies when it comes to photo/video but I think Sony is much better on the manual options.Somtimes I wonder if there is anything left to go further with this camera format and what is the future when it comes to smartphone photography.
They all did great, they all had their hits and misses. I was blown away by the telephoto macro on the Sony. That's amazing to have on a phone. I don't think they're a clear winner here, so phone camera fans can grab whatever phone they like.
@@gamebuster800 those who want to buy it 😂😂😂 why should we spend 1000 plus for a phone with basic camera mode? Pixel and iphones should be 300 because of the camera.... at least Sony has both, auto mode and manual mode along with headphone jack, audio features and SD card....

The Xperia 1 VI seems better at objects than people; I get a similar portrait shot on my Xperia 1 V at 4:19, I could also tell on the selfie video earlier on as the Xperia still has no AF on the front camera of your face lacked the detail compared to the other two. They may finally reintroduce AF on the front camera as they did on the XZ Premium all those years ago!! The macro shooting is very impressive on the Xperia 1 VI as were some dark shots Also I was initially hung up about the screen resolution, but as my Xperia I V usually runs at 1080p for the vast amount of time, the brighter screen on the Xperia I VI and longer lasting battery is probably better overall
I used to pinpoint the Xperia Auto images immediatly before but this time it took trades with the Pixel and made me question my choices, kinda insane how good it is now.
the auto mode is really impressing me so far. there are definetly still failures, the blown out high lights on the front facing are basically non excusable in my opinion. and the system clearly still has many issues with flaring. But overall. very impressive.
This is all pre-release software. I'm sure it could change. Sony usually improves things during the lifespan of these phones. Especially within the first 6 months of release.
These are all on auto mode?? I got like 50% for xperia and 50% on the pixel. Considering I can definitely get better pics with manual mode, it's Xperia for me for sure.

You cannot be putting the Xperia first and second in the first videos. It is a clear win for the other two. The xperia looks blown, with poorer stabilisation. Now, it has come a long way in terms of automatic photos and videos, but still has a bit to catch up. Give this phone to a photographer, that s when the results will blow the other 2 out of the water. Pixel 8 Pro is a clear winner in this test.
@@georgitaalexandru8753 are you talking about the slow motion dog video and the selfie video with the window on the back? Firstly, compression algorithms really don't like a big number of small objects across the field, like confetti or sprayers. So all 3 look bad because RUclips on the dog video, the iPhone looked the best. I put the Xperia in front of the pixel because I Liked the colors more, but more important because the grass is full of blocky MPEG artifacts all the time, and that doesn't happen on the other 2. On the selfie video I already explained, yes Xperia was blowup, but I liked that on all the 3 the focus of the video that is the face of the Xperia was the one that was better exposed, and that is the most important. The iPhone didn't overexpose the background, but the face is too dark and pixel also overexposed the background, but to mask that, it cranked the contrast to the max and made the face look awful. That's my opinion, yours can be different. I just don't like that over contrast look of some phone cameras because it's easy to do that look in post. But if you want something more pastel, more flat, it's super hard to make it look good if the original photo have too much contrast from the camera.
I own Xperia 1 IV for a long time. In manual mode if you know what to do (I'm a photografer) you beat any other phone. Battery capacity didn't change almost anything, and it is a 2022 phone.
Well done. I dont see any winners here. Where the xperia shines the differences are small. The other issues are the screen. They should been compared at the same screen. However the xperia seems in all to be the better choice with the battery saving and its two days pover and the three years update.
The Xperia seems to be punching above its weight considering the camera hardware is the same this year. That macro shot was gorgeous. Putting my pre-order in this weekend.
You mean it's finally punching at the correct weight. It's had the best camera hardware for years now... (And I'd say by a good margin). The results here have shown a significant improvement in their Auto software.
I don't think this phone is overpriced like many people claim. Especially when we consider the high end camera sensors, Zeiss lenses and other additions like the mechanical shutter button, headphone jack and micro sd slot. The big problem for Sony is the terrible timing of the release and the fact that you can get an S24 Ultra for over EUR 400.00 less and a Pixel 8 Pro for almost half the price of the Xperia 1 VI. Same goes for many other, more popular, high-end phone brands.
*you can get an S24 Ultra for over EUR 400.00 less and a Pixel 8 Pro for almost half the price* - are you saying Samsung and Pixel are too cheap? I'd go with Sony being overpriced. But it is a nice niche and unique device - worth it for some people.
also the fingerprint sensor on the side where its easy to reach. no bits of the screen missing to house cameras/sensors so more usable space. stereo speakers that are facing you. those and the things you listed above are things that i really want on a phone so dont mind paying a bit more for it. (although i still think this phone is too expensive for what they are offering)
That's a big step forward for the Xperia in Auto mode - always felt you sacrificed the auto quality for the pro mode adjustments in previous Xperia's. I like taking a lot of macro shots so this definitely has me interested.
The Xperia to me seemed like the best allrounder. While in a lot of your examples I preferred another phone, the Xperia always was either first or a close second. Except for the selfie, where the Xperia was the worst by far. All 3 phones have a really good camera though. I think the Xperia still is the best phone for photos thanks to the dedicated shutter button and the Micro-SD slot, this is really unique
Great comparison video. Looks like Sony did a great job this time. Unfortunately, it is not available in the US. Please report the performance of ultra-wide and telephoto lenses in low light.
For me the 1Vi won, followed by the Pixel. When there is backlighting, the Xperia sometimes overexposes, so M mode is of course recommended here.In general, I do almost everything on the Xperia in M Mode and RAW.I ordered the 1Vi and am looking forward to it like a child. The zoom looks significantly better than the 1V or is that misleading? The macro mode is absolutely impressive, the others can give it a try.
Sony has really stepped up and done a great job this year. Overall I'm pretty impressed that I chose that 8 Pro in a lot of the scenes. This is a big win for Sony for even competing with two of the top auto smartphones.
Hey, good comparison! I would like to see a comparison during the evening and night, specially with video and telephoto performance. We all know the main sensor is great, but I am worried about the tiny 1/3.5 sensor in the telephoto camera. I also think burst photo and action/sports comparisons would be good. Written from a 5II
When it comes to camera features, the other videos that i watched i think the xperia with latest upgrades is a beast if you know how to use it in full manual..
This was very useful, thank you! I owned the Xperia Pro-I a while ago and loved the natural looking photos, then switched to Pixel where I hate the excessive pixel processing and over-sharpening (which you can also see in many of your examples).
I am pretty sure that experia after the new software will perform even better because its quite impressive that even in just its raw power its competing with the flagship camera phones and if we compare its raw auto shooting with the previous experia than its like 60percent better and dont forget all those manual controls with those this might be the best camera phone if you can use it properly
To identify Sony mobiles in terms of camera, you only have to look at grass textures and whether light looks HDR-ish or not. For me, a clear win in nearly every sample for the Xperia. iPhone once again worst and ugliest. Saying this as an iPhone user with a Sony Alpha camera. Xperia really gets a nice "in between" by not covering up its weaknesses too much by digital processing. Images look more natural and pleasing to look at. It's more like shooting on iPhone 8+ years ago where HDR and all these digital features were not as prominent as they are nowadays. iPhones could shoot the same way if you look at RAW images taken by 3rd party apps, however Apple doesn't want it to be this way.
Great comparisons as always. But as i think, you already know, there is differences between these phones when it comes to photography. For example the Pixel is the one that is made for those who prefer to take a quick shot on their food or candles at home. The xperia is more of a nature/outside kind of a phone to take photos with while the iPhone being a mix of the both. You should mix buildings, dark/light, day/night, objects inside/outside, sun/cloud/after sunset to get most out of the comparison if you ask me. Otherwise i think its kinda unjustified action towards the capabilities of them all since all these situations were tricky and uncommon ones. Still a good comparison, but it will give less good image to the real capabilites of the phones :)
Could you please do a outdoor test in the sun to se what phone has the best brightness for longest? The iphone, Pixel and samsung just last about 5 min when oneplus 12 seems to do nonstop. Want to know if there is more phones.
I'm perplexed seeing Xperia I VI's camera reviews on your channel and on others because here Xperia nailed every shot except for the portrait. Whereas on others' videos Xperia did the worst.
I picked the iPhone for the dolphins in the night shot but it was otherwise 60-40 in favor of the Xperia 1 VI. That definitely has me thinking of importing one instead of getting a Pixel 9 Pro.
So the question is, do you want Ai made Photos without Raw source output to edit yourself, or untouched Pictures which don't look impressive for the casual.
watching from slovenija europe on my 470 € xperia 1 III in 4k 🤣 sony has a dedicated photo button and that makes you take a picture in two seconds. That's why it's a winner and I'm sticking with sony. I've had 5 sony smart phones already over the years and they all still work. The only thing that bugs me is that they didn't keep the 4k screen. also the amount of accessories that sony has available makes sony the best option on the market. would be nice to see the comparison again with all phones on their latest build. this doesn't really do sony justice because the quality will surely improve. have a great day 😉😘
Great video. I gave the the best photo 3 points, second best 2 and third best 1 point. I did not take the dark foto with the blurred image into account and rated only one of the two flower fotos. The final result was: 24 points for each camera. This proofs a point: it is dependent on the situation how good a camera performs. These are all good cameras with slightly different qualities. There is no reason to go crazy about "the best camera smart phone".
I scored it pretty much, even with the Sony just snatching it in the final round. Sony - 6 Iphone- 5 Pixel - 5 I am currently looking to upgrade and am having a difficult time choosing and am swayed more by the Sony due to the free gift as I can not separate from the competition based on specs and camera/video comparisons.
The Sony was still the best for me although i was surprised by the iPhone also being fairly neutral and the Pixel being so overprocessed, especially the contrast. Also surprised that the oversaturated food shot was Sony 😂
Sony nailed it ❤! Sometimes the pixel8 Pro showed more details but as the colours are wrong ,I don’t like the Pixel, always preferred the Sony and one time the iPhone. I already pre-ordered the new Sony Xperia 1VI and am extremely much looking forward to it and in your comparison here, you must always remind that the Sony Xperia is not even on the market and there comes a softwareupdate after release , I love Sony
I didn't like the sony the most on a single blind test. The pixel won most and took generally the best picture although sometimes i prefer the style of the iPhone pictures. The groot picture is a good example because the pixel may have been sharper with better hdr, it looked flat next to the iPhone's dramatic warm shot. The sony just looked like it was trying way too hard to be a dslr.
It was funny that I picked the best shot and I knew it was an iphone because the best shot looks a little unreal. The photos from the iphone is just smoother to the eyes. But Sony has always been more realistic to the real photos , so it is really tough to say if it is good or not.
I can tell which phone took the picture based on past experiences. Pixel phones tend to have better HDR but sometimes the images look over-processed. iPhones try to make the images look natural, but sometimes they end up looking a bit dull. I think I've developed a sense for these things. iPhone fans tend to choose the better images and think they're iPhone photos, but companies process images in different lighting differently even if they all use Sony sensors. The thing about phone cameras is that there is no right choice as they all perform differently in different lighting unless you control everything with pro mode but then looses the processing limitations of inferior small sensor size compared to actual full frame cameras. Just choose the one that you need by thinking what all features and specs you need the most and go for it. Good video and really helpful, wanted to see the s24's camera as well. LIKED and SUBD
i went with pixel most of the time, then Xperia and iPhone once (portrait mode, kneeling on the grass) That being said, I'd still buy Xperia over Pixel because Pixels have since 6 a list of problems, inefficient SoC, Camera glass popping for no apparent reason, bad battery life. Sony just ticks all the boxes, screen too good (4k was overkill or whatever was in MkV) huge battery, efficient SoC, Headphone Jack, SD Card slot - almost perfect phone and the benefit of the super cameras who hold their ground in their Beta/pre release software version. I just need to find a way to import the damn thing from japan because i want 512 gigs version, to hold on it for few years.
I've chosen Xperia photos the most, then Pixel and iPhone the least. It's good to see Sony has improved auto mode so much. Manual was always going to be superior to other phones in my opinion, but I may be biased. Been using Sony since mk IV and tbh there's nothing like it in the market. Flagship that does not compromise on storage expansion or Hi-Fi experience in 2024. Imagine 😅 Hopefully I can grab one soon.
The Xperia won most of the day light photos. It's just more natural. The front video sucks. low light is ok. The macro is crazy. Most likely because it uses it's telephoto for it.
All 3 are flagships of their field so there's no such thing "the best", but overall iPhone suck at photography and Pixel suck at videography, and there's Sony which combine the best of both

Sony did their homework. S23 ultra user here, most likely to get this Xperia, mostly for low weight.
It’s almost like they’ve made the camera modules in most phones and make some of the best dslrs out there🤔 they’ve been doing the most for a few years now especially on manual mode.
Totally agree I am getting a s25 and Xperia to start a vertical content media company
I'm blown away by how much the Sony has improved. Normal it gets steamrolled by everything else but not in this case. Still too pricey especially for a 1080p+ display.
Yeh 1080p display lpto not oled and this dislpay produced by BRAVIA this in ameizing thing
Although it’s no longer 4K, the resolution of the new display is roughly the same as in the iPhone 15 pro.
@@MrMagicFreedom I understand, but comparing to others within the android market, it's still overpriced for the resolution
@@mohammedsalimahmed5230if resolution is your only metric of value then, yes
It's not1080p! A lot obsessed over meaningless specs and half the time don't understand them😶
If your phone display Supports 1 billion colors Stop the video at 33 seconds and watch the colors of the grass on the Sony camera. I see many colors of yellow and green grass in different shades, as if it captured by a real human eye. Other phones capture limited colors So Sony has a Technique called color science ( cinealta ) in the Alpha division of cameras, and they talked about it a lot and introduced it into Xperia phones I think in 2019
Also the dog shot at minute 8:5 If the light on a dog’s face comes from the sun, it will naturally have yellowness, so I want to say that the Sony camera engineers are geniuses
and It seems that Sony has provided the best macro lens in phones as well
Not sure that the 10 bit phone screen will help if the video isn't in 10bit.
Pura70 also has 5cm telemacro. Would be an interesting comparison
What the heck does minute 8:5 mean?
Wow, for me 90% of the pictures i preferred were from the Sony. They really finally upped their game when it comes to auto mode and processing. Genuinely impressed how much better the pictures are compared to last years Sony 1 V, although the camera hardware stayed the same ! They are finally really stepping up in terms of AI and software.
On a bokeh photo on Xperia, there seems to be a lense flare, that could've been fixed just by tilting a shot by less than a millimitre. Also to take in mind, HDR dosn't work in Bokeh mode.
Pixel seems like overall the winner. Can you compare the cameras of Xperia vs Xiaomi 14 Ultra?
Xiaomi is made is hostile untrustworthy country and Sony is made in nice reliable country. Make a moral choice who you support with your money.
Not in manual mode, pixel is bad in none jpeg images...u can't edit jpeg quality
@@The-Heart-Will-TestifyDon't lying, pixels and iphones raw images are far better than these boxie phone

It's impressive how Pixel phones always manage to create pleasant looking images.
But I do still prefer my Xperia phones. They just feel so good in the hands and I don't wanna miss the mechanical shutter button, headphone jack and other features.
im not an iPhone hater
BUT GOD, the iPhone didn't win any except the selfie video
xperiia surprised me!
Xperia 1 VI consistently blows the others out of the water. However that misty photo thing is interesting cause I've seen it occur a lot also on my Xperia 1 ii, it seems likely to happen when light is hitting the camera lens from the side and it messes with the sensor somehow.
The new Xperia auto mode did surprise me
Xperia with one stop down would be perfect in the comparison. It is easy to spot the Xperia because highlight usually slightly blown out.
Yeh, a few of those fake ones have been popping up in suggested feed for me too. Nightmare 😨
Glad you liked this one
@@WhatGear can I get that piri piri recipe? We've got two nandos in the US and I don't live near either of them haha.
That telephoto macro is incredible.
inspiring me to upgrade from 1 iv to 1vi
Me too. I’m looking for macro-mode camera phone and I think VI is a better choice for this.
I'm interested too but realistically, do we take that much macro in real world usage, and there isn't much variation of macro art and if we want to explore macro world for education purposes, we can just google it right
I actually found the xperia better in most situations
That's what I found on my 1 III, I prefer the shots coming out of the Xperia 95% of the time compared to the S23 Ultra. Those famous tech youtubers would want you to believe otherwise, they get extremely terrible shots or somehow prefer the worse photo. The only time I'd prefer iPhones and Samsung is in extreme low light, where it's even hard for a human to see.
you know whats weird ? i was ranking the pictures and the sony either always came first or 2nd in every test , so over all it just might be the a great camera phone for sure
The greens on Sony Xperia are always looking true to life or at least almost true to life and that's what I like about the Xperia
It's only auto mode, none of them come close in manual mode to Sony 😂
@@The-Heart-Will-Testify That's fair, but who wants to fiddle with a phone on manual mode? I sure don't. I have a real camera for that.
@@The-Heart-Will-Testify I did buy it. I own the Xperia 1 V. The manual mode is barely worth using. Only the "main" camera has acceptable results.
Buy a Ricoh. It's cheaper than a high-end phone and makes nicer pictures than any phone.
@@gamebuster800 because u are terrible at it 😂😂😂. Why will u buy a phone u can't use? Hahaha that's like buying a pro camera and complaining about the quality. I like the Xperia because of other features, not just the camera...that's why I said, phones shouldn't cost a lot to take basic photos and videos like iPhone and pixel lol ..those phones are lacking features and price should be low ...
The macro shooting is very impressive on the Xperia 1 VI as were some dark shots
Also I was initially hung up about the screen resolution, but as my Xperia I V usually runs at 1080p for the vast amount of time, the brighter screen on the Xperia I VI and longer lasting battery is probably better overall
Xperia 1 VI made iPhone and Pixel behind and it's still not a retail version with final software!
While using auto mode 😂
Honestly, there won't be too much of a difference between the final software version.
Pixel 8 Pro and 15 Pro Max for me, but that Telephoto macro on Xperia is great !
Xperia did much better than I expected. Very impressive

I'm perplexed, the Xperia won!!! Taking into account that the Xperia 1V came last in the mqbhd blind test, this result is surprising
You should try this again. The updates have improved an already stellar camera. Bokeh mode is absolutely stunning and comparable to my full frame A2.
A Two stage-shutter button with pose tracking and eye tracking, just how many people like mobile photography know that Sony phones have this?
Let's be honest here.. these are all very good cameras for a phone..
I don't think you can go wrong with any of it 👍
can't belive xperia finally beats the big boys on its own field, camera.
@@Ruudwardt no, but their prices are a big problem for Sony. I wouldn't be surprised if they leave the Smartphone market in a year or two.
also the fingerprint sensor on the side where its easy to reach. no bits of the screen missing to house cameras/sensors so more usable space. stereo speakers that are facing you. those and the things you listed above are things that i really want on a phone so dont mind paying a bit more for it. (although i still think this phone is too expensive for what they are offering)
@@Ruudwardt Only for say 😅😅😅 iphone ,pixel, Samsung better than Sony which is waste of money
Can’t believe this time I choose Xperia more than an iPhone or pixel.
Pictures are a toss up with the pixel and Sony. Video is a toss up with the iPhone and Sony. So overall I'd go with the Sony.
That's a big step forward for the Xperia in Auto mode - always felt you sacrificed the auto quality for the pro mode adjustments in previous Xperia's. I like taking a lot of macro shots so this definitely has me interested.
Sony is very very good in most situations. Also best macro.
Just discovered your channel today. Really like the video. A unique approach to camera preview. You have earned a subscriber.
For photos, Pixel 8 Pro wins.
For videos, IPhone 15 Pro Max wins.
Sony has really stepped up and done a great job this year. Overall I'm pretty impressed that I chose that 8 Pro in a lot of the scenes. This is a big win for Sony for even competing with two of the top auto smartphones.
Sony has done the best🎉❤
King: Sony ❤🇯🇵
Hey, good comparison! I would like to see a comparison during the evening and night, specially with video and telephoto performance. We all know the main sensor is great, but I am worried about the tiny 1/3.5 sensor in the telephoto camera. I also think burst photo and action/sports comparisons would be good.
Written from a 5II
Could you do a manual shooting comparison video, maybe focus more on the macro mode
Solid comparison! I would've liked to see some more zoom examples, maybe at 5x and 10x
Xperia did surprise me in some shots which shows they're making improvements 🫡
Pixel 8 Pro in every way, and considering its price tag, it's a no brainer
I agree. you must have no brain if you buy the 8 pro
Cheap quality phone that only has good auto mode in pictures, that's it...I'm not going back to pixel phones again... It's terrible
not considering the amount of hardware and software problem that Google's been known for for years?
But what if you have a brain?
@@The-Heart-Will-Testify no you're wrong they have stepped up with manual mode with 8 pro. Besides, it's quite clear who the winner was
Sony has the best camera so far. Because it looks natural and sharp without overprocessing. This is a great video that I'm looking for
Most photos that I liked are from the Pixel 8 Pro.
Video-wise, I liked those from the Xperia 1 VI.
EXperia is the fotographers paradise, if u know how to use it
No doubt about Sony in that macro shot!
Could you please do a outdoor test in the sun to se what phone has the best brightness for longest? The iphone, Pixel and samsung just last about 5 min when oneplus 12 seems to do nonstop. Want to know if there is more phones.
Wonderful work mate. I've seen many of ur videos but 1 VI comparisons are awesome...
Great job mr🙌🏾. Xperia keep improving their phone, i like this company a lot as all of my electronics devices are from Sony ❤. But the portrait 😮
I'm perplexed seeing Xperia I VI's camera reviews on your channel and on others because here Xperia nailed every shot except for the portrait. Whereas on others' videos Xperia did the worst.
I appreciate the text with which you opened the video with "trust your eyes"
Very nice addition and great test!

I picked the iPhone for the dolphins in the night shot but it was otherwise 60-40 in favor of the Xperia 1 VI. That definitely has me thinking of importing one instead of getting a Pixel 9 Pro.
So the question is, do you want Ai made Photos without Raw source output to edit yourself, or untouched Pictures which don't look impressive for the casual.
watching from slovenija europe on my 470 € xperia 1 III in 4k 🤣
sony has a dedicated photo button and that makes you take a picture in two seconds.
Sony - 6
Iphone- 5
Pixel - 5
I am currently looking to upgrade and am having a difficult time choosing and am swayed more by the Sony due to the free gift as I can not separate from the competition based on specs and camera/video comparisons.
The Sony was still the best for me although i was surprised by the iPhone also being fairly neutral and the Pixel being so overprocessed, especially the contrast. Also surprised that the oversaturated food shot was Sony 😂
Sony nailed it ❤!
Sometimes the pixel8 Pro showed more details but as the colours are wrong ,I don’t like the Pixel,
always preferred the Sony and one time the iPhone.

The daylight photos are almost universally Xperia wins, by the looks. Only the selfie shot let it down.
Hi! Thanks for this video! Are the shots from the Sony made in Pro mode or in Auto? To be honest I am impressed with the Sony this year!
The FIRST Xperia Vi comparison I actually TRUST (but why no S24 Ultra?!?!?)
Can we get a test of a landscape photo? The true test is when everything in the photo is in focus
It was funny that I picked the best shot and I knew it was an iphone because the best shot looks a little unreal. The photos from the iphone is just smoother to the eyes. But Sony has always been more realistic to the real photos , so it is really tough to say if it is good or not.
5 - Sony Xperia 1 VI
4 - Pixel 8
1 - iPhone 15 Pro Max
Damn !! These is a cool video. I know what to buy now. SONY phones are coming in straight. ✌️✌️
To me.
iPhone 15 Pro Max: 3/16
Pixel 8 Pro: 5/16
Xperia 1VI: 8/16
I love these blind tests. Photo wise probably Experia and Pixel, but video wise... well they all looked terrible. More video camera tests please
LIKED and SUBD
i went with pixel most of the time, then Xperia and iPhone once (portrait mode, kneeling on the grass)
That being said, I'd still buy Xperia over Pixel because Pixels have since 6 a list of problems, inefficient SoC, Camera glass popping for no apparent reason, bad battery life.
Nice comparison, thank you very much!
Imagine 😅
Hopefully I can grab one soon.
I'm thinking about whether I should get the Sony Xperia 1 VI or wait for the Google Pixel 9 or iPhone 16????
The Xperia won most of the day light photos. It's just more natural. The front video sucks. low light is ok. The macro is crazy. Most likely because it uses it's telephoto for it.
All 3 are flagships of their field so there's no such thing "the best", but overall iPhone suck at photography and Pixel suck at videography, and there's Sony which combine the best of both
