TV stand from ONE sheet of plywood!

- This video shows how I built my own tv/stereo console table, using one single 4'x8' sheet of 3/4" plywood.
I used an online plywood sheet optimizer to figure it all out. The software allows you to enter your own part quantities and dimensions and it presents you with the best layout possible to get your moneys worth out of your plywood! I'm pretty sure my calculation only resulted in about 5% waste total.
I ripped the entire sheet down into strips and then cut each strip to length to create my 5 unique parts needed to build the table. In total I cut 100 pieces to create 20 layers of plywood.
I only used a couple tools in this video, which you can find below...

was wondering if you would be willing to share the dimensions of everything so i could attempt to build one?
Hi LaMarr, unfortunately I don't have the exact dimensions to reference. I went through a bunch of designs and measurements before getting this one to work on one sheet. The thickness of the plywood, width, height and depth of the piece, as well as kerf thickness all come into play, it takes a lot of thought. In the end I had very little waste, and that's only possible if you don't make any mistakes along the way... a lot of pressure! If you google "plywood cut list" you should find some online calculators to get you started on a design.
Thank you very much for your time and the information in regards to the build. I will attempt to find a plywood cut list and see if that is going to work. i almost forgot, what is the weight restrictions on the one that you built
If you're asking how much it weighs, it's about the weight of a full sheet of ply, about 50 pounds. If you're asking how much weight it can hold, I would imagine 200 pounds easily, it's incredibly strong.
@@PatonHaus the 200 lbs was what i was asking about, i want to build one for my vintage stereo equipment
LaMarr James 200 lbs minimum, probably double that would be fine too. If you adjust the design to have a thicker top i’m sure it would hold even more. Be sure to come back and let me know once you’re done!! 👍
Great job. Plywood end grain has never looked better! 😀👍🏻
Thanks Jonny!
Man I love these timelapse videos. So relaxing to watch and learn so much from them. Looking forward to the next one 😊
Dabbling with plywood myself (so far only a sofa and a few shelves) I'm impressed by the amount of time and dedication to built this, and it looks rock solid.
😂😂 Wow.. he got that done in 3 minutes and 36 seconds... Lol, I never seen anyone work that fast in my life!!!
Great Job, it came out really nice!
That looked so good! Awesome job man!
Thank you!
Amazing work
Thanks Sajid!
Wow beautiful table. Nice video too. : )
Thank you!
Awesome! Thats a great idea for vinyl storage.
Absolutely, you could definitely adapt the same idea to make a record crate, maybe even two from one sheet? Thanks for commenting!
lovely
nice job
Wow. I love it
Thanks Drew!
i need this
Nice!
So dope
Thank you!
nice
Интересная технология)👍
Спасибо!
😍
Can you share the measurements?
You'll have to work backwards from your ideal dimensions and then figure out how many layers you'll need to reach your ideal depth. Adjusting the height, thickness and other dimensions along the way will help. The location of the shelf will also determine if you need additional parts. I spent a lot of time working this out to end up with
Yunuem Mares please so
Please share measurements

What's the sense of making it then not giving us a good view of the finished product?😒
It's at the end!
@@PatonHaus I know but I have to peek through those recommended videos.
That's fair, thanks for the heads up. Try it now!
Wow, I want a husband like you!
Well Jason look now you’ve made me blush. ☺️
PatonHaus you have some amazing projects you make. I have honestly never built anything in my life, couldn’t name a tool to save my life aside from a hammer and screwdriver, and I am not joking. I do suggest a bit more face time on your videos. Have a great day and keep posting.
That's very kind, thank you for saying so, and thanks for the feedback.
