I appreciate the videos..that throttle cable is very important . My dad first Gen which had no lock up and no overdrive had a very tall gear ..a recipe for a lot of heat and failure

When i burnt out my 47re i got a 5 speed swap basically for free so i didnt bother looking into it. When i was doing the swap i found the TV cable was completely disconnected. Wish i kept the swap now so i could build it and sell the 5 speed swap. Autos are just better these days.

Hey bud, I have a 98 12 valve automatic transmission. I hooked up a scanner and I’m only getting 59% out of my TPS at wot. So I removed it and checked again with a screwdriver and I got 99% at wot. Do I need to adjust the rod or what? Thanks man!

I just bought a 04 dodge cummins 2500 with a rebuild 48re and its been downshifting pretty hard around 1st and second gear and also not knowing whether to be in 3rd or 4th gear around 20 to 30mph. I replaced the trans output speed sensor and that fixed the hectic shifting from 3rd to 4th gear but its still down shifting pretty hard. I'm just now learning about diesels and trans so any help would be lovely, thanks!

    • @CUTTERUPROB

Could be the way the trans was built.
Would be best to talk to a trany guy and say what they think.

Just did a tranny swap and dont want to burn it. Cable should be good but cable itself is questionable so im not positive its working properly.
