Seventy nine years old here ?!! I’m 70 and I get winded going up a single flight of stairs and here he is seemingly performing without breathing.

thanks Christian. Mr. Mayall greeting everyone at the door as they came in. He signed autographs and took photos. He was there for almost two hours, even during the opening bands set. He is a very gracious man...and looking great for 79 years old.

bluzdudemi I saw him 20 years ago and he still thought he was a major star, he was arrogant and very unfriendly, glad he changed, he is a significant figure in blues history

Today I just had the CD set of his early years in the mail. So I am listening half day to his music now. I saw him first in 1998. I was 18 or 19 that time. He was in town, he was a legend so I went not knowing much about him. I had or or two CDs of him, and also took the covers in case... I was early, came in fist in the concert hall and he was sitting right in the middle selling his CDs.. For me a bit surprising, that the star of the show just sits in the middle or the place and greets the fans. I was a bit shy that time and confused and just said Hi and went to the first row. After some other people came in an talked with him I really believed it was HIM and I went back and got my autograph. 🤣He even congratulated me on my taste, because I had a very old album of him. He gave a great concert and people didn't stop clapping, so when the concert was already finished and the encore was over, but the people didn't go, he came out again and did two solo numbers. Such a great guy!

I did see Mayall at a small club in Boulder when I lived there in 80's and also at a large crowd at Portland Blues Festival a few years later.
