- Recreating my first makeup tutorial 6 years later! Whew-eee! Let's just say that is a long time to learn a lot of new things! It's amazing to see where I started all those years ago compared to where I am today. What mistakes did you make when you first got into makeup? What have you been significant improvements on? Don't forget, we all have to start somewhere, so give yourself a break! :)

I don't know about anyone else but I would love to see a side by side of one eye done the way you used to apply shadow on one eye and the new way you apply it on the other eye.
I would like to see this. I didn't really notice the differences Sabrina was talking about in this video.

You should do your makeup on one side of your face from one of your old tutorials and do the same look on the other side of your face but how you would do it now! To see how different it looks six years later. That would be cool!

HI Zabrena! A few years ago you use to do a series about what your favorite eyeshadow combos for the month was. I was thinking that since we are close to the end of the year, it would be nice to see what your favorite combos were for 2018. I know with 2 kids it might be hard to do, but I thought I would just put it out there. Love you, Zabrena!

I loved that tutorial so much!!! I remember finding it 6 years ago after having my son. My husband bought me the Naked pallet because I had been stuck in that mommy phase of sweat pants, messy buns, and sleep vs. showers. I found your video here when searching for tips on how to use it. And this technique became my go-to look for a gold smoky eye! It’s evolved a bit over the years, but with my blue hooded eyes, the basics of the technique stay the same. I’ve also followed you ever since too! As a 34 year old stay at home mom, you’ve always been so much more relatable than some of the other makeup channels out there! Thanks for helping me feel pretty again!
I mentioned on another video, but it would be great if you did the palette Bingo tag, where you try to create a look with randomly chosen eyeshadows from a palette! (Emily Noel did on her channel) 🙂

This was the first look I tried with my naked palette because I trust you and what you do. I went back and added the blending shade too because we are all more educated on how to use makeup now then before. Thank you for doing this tutorial and going back to revisit it.
I remember I found you about 5 years ago I think when I was first getting into makeup because of your historically accurate videos and I’ve been watching ever since. I actually remember watching THIS video. You’ve always been an awesome teacher when it came to makeup and even though I found other beauty bloggers I enjoy watching I feel like your particular style has still impacted the way I do my makeup even now.

Loved this! You certainly look younger today than back then. As far as a new video topic suggestion, what about an all metallic look...or doing a grab bag where you write some old and new make-up looks on paper, then mix them up in a bag or jar, and drawing one out of that as a random pick ...or a two toned look using 2 colors for shadow and also for the lip color...or use favorite colors from your family; son's favorite color, husband's and yours and create a look based on that...I've been out of the make-up loop for *many years* and have learned so much from your channel! I don't feel like such an amateur anymore, and my make-up certainly looks more professional now..LOL! Thank you!💄🎨😉

I started watching your videos a few years ago to find dupes for the naked pallet and that actually started my make-up collection!! ❤so cool to see how much your techniques have changed! I've been right there with ya girl! I did learn something new from your last video though,the blending shade first. I would do it last and the exact same thing that happened here would happen to me,all crease color disappeared! Thanks for all you've taught me over the years,and now! Hugs and love! ❤

Thank you so much for explaining the highlight on the eyeshadow primer every morning I would have a beautiful blend than I would put my brow highlight on and it was gone. I saw that most the RUclipsr beauty gurus say it’s to set the primer. Never tell I watched the video did I ever hear it explained correctly.

This was my first tutorial I ever watched of you years ago and I can still remember being so in love with the way the gold looked on your eyes that I was so upset I didn't have that palette! Lol.. I didn't watch you back then, but that was definitely the make up of the era. I wore a very similar gold based eye for several months in 2011 (not with naked though, I could never afford it)

I'm so glad you did this! I recently came across a picture of me from several years ago where I was wearing makeup but then I didn't wear blush, bronzer or highlight and my foundation was way too light, lol. I looked Ill! I was amazed to see how far I've come thanks to people like Zabrena making videos of their tips and tricks so I could figure out what works for me!

You have learned a lot since then, as we all have. You seemed a little hard on yourself and there is no need for that. I would love to see you revisit that pallet showing what you would do with it now. I have it, and I love it, but sometimes I do struggle with it a bit. Loved the video 😊😊😊.

I'd love a follow-up video where you do a similar look but with the techniques you use now! Or another video following one of your older tutorials, but follow the tutorial exactly on one eye, then do the same look on the other eye with the techniques you prefer now. Would be interesting to see the difference those techniques make!

This was cute! I didn’t even know that concealer was for the under eyes until about 5 years ago haha I thought it was only for covering acne and dark spots on the face. Once I got older, developed dark under eye circles and started watching RUclips I figured it out lol

I just wanted to say that I never used a blending shade all over before, and I quite wearing eyeshadows from my eyes getting so irritated with all the blending brush action. But since finding your channel I have been collecting all the dupes, recommended drugstore makeup and making list for the pricier things. I’m getting excited to get back into eyeshadows again especially from seeing this vid and the blending shade application effect. Thanks for sharing! Isn't it funny how our makeup looks change over the years. Six years ago I had no clue that I could use concealer to highlight the center of my face. And, bronzer! Who knew that bronzer, when used correctly, can add great results.

April Byerley I never wore face or eye primer or used a transition shade .. I learned all that only a few years ago.. I also never ever wore bronzer or contour . I would use the maybelline set of 3 blushes to contour my cheeks .. wow we have come a long way 😍
@@Soapartisan875 oh, I forgot about primer! It's amazing that I survived my teenage years and got through high school. RUclips would have been a lifesaver, for sure!
