      You want to tie or glue you more sturdy cable to the shaker body. Then coil up the remaining thin cable and stick it to the back of the shaker.

    You finally got around to it, I've been these exciters for a few months, I killed one of them by knocking into it. Opened it up and they are pretty cheaply made, but get the job done, just don't let SIM Cat near them.

    THANKS MATE! I hope you know you're responsible for my rig moving from 4 shakers to 6 after seeing this! I've just ordered the shakers and a 3rd nobsound to run them - looking forward to trying this! I am going to mock up a 3d printed spacer disc to hold that shaker disc in place - hopefully I will be able to use the screws that hold the pedal face on to hold the plate down and keep everything looking nice.
    Appreciate your videos mate - your 3drap load cell mod video inspired me to try the yellow spring mod (based on the price of the 3drap lol) and all of a sudden I can brake properly - I went from wildly inconsistent times to being able to consistently keep within a 10th or 2 for 20 laps plus. What a difference stopping properly makes :)

    Awesome! Isolating directly to the pedals is smart. I currently have Dayton 50w BST-1 directly under my brake on my GT1-Evo pedal plate. It provides just a few effects so it’s not “muddy”. RPM, gear change and wheel lock. I’ve got an unused channel on my nobsound I think I’ll investigate some smaller exciters now! Hi SimCat!

I modden a Logitech Xbox G920 wheel to work with PC using Arduino Pro controllers making the resolution from 0-100% throttle, brake and clutch is now 4096 steps of res from 0-100 input compared to the 256 steps of original resolution. Giving me much better throttle control and break control. This seems like a good next step. Considering building a motion rig ofc

  • @belh4wk

    I used one of these for the brake; i found that the membranes/springs onto which the screw-plate is mounted are not the most durable as 2 of the arms snapped after only a few months of use (which may be down to me overstressing them somewhat); switched it out for a dayton audio fabric membrane mini puck; works a treat!

    The only issue I can think of is with wheel slip its not just longitudinal (wheelspin) that comes through but also lateral slip. Now you actually want a little lateral slip to be fast, so backing off to the point that you get no vibration could make you slower. Im running a shaker under my pedal deck just for the brakes. it works well, although rumble motors would be better

    • @caleliebig1356
      @caleliebig1356 2 года назад +1

      I've got the parts on order to try this - I think you're right with the lateral slip, I think the point would be more get used to that feedback and act accordingly - once you're dialled in you would know where that feedback was coming from I think. Either way I'm super keen to try this I think it will be awesome! I have 2x BST-2's under my pedal plate atm and while they're great you just cant feel the difference - so I'm gonna run a mono under the plate and then 2 of these on the pedals. Looking forward to it :)

    Hey SimRacingCorner, great vid! I got the CSL pedals a couple of months ago. I decided I would do the bass shaker mod. Was going to order the parts together as aliexpress is on the other side of the world to me.
    But I was rummaging through a mates parts box I saw he had a mini power amp, but is does not have Nobsound printed on it so I assume it is a clone. Should this work or do you think I should order the Nobsound?
    Cheers.

      Any mini amp is suitable. Just check the ohm rating on the amp (it's should be labelled on the amp) and get mini exciters that match that.

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  Год назад

      Basically, yes, the Buttkicker is essentially a larger version of this. Though, of course, you can't isolate the car brake/slip effects. You will be sending game audio through just the exciters, just like the Buttkicker with your PS5.

    Hi mate, I finally did this mod.
    But what's weird. Is I only set TC,ABS and wheel lock and wheel spin on rears only.
    So I shouldn't feel anything unless I'm losing traction or ABS kicks in.
    However, I still feel road vibration and engine rumble...
    Has anyone else noticed this?

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  4 месяца назад

      Only the effects you've turned on in SimHub are the ones that should come through. What game? And have you tried other games to test this.

      @@SimRacingCorner yeah Its weird... I'm gonna have to test other games. But so far ive only played through content manager on AC

    • @GregoryShtevensh
      @GregoryShtevensh 4 месяца назад

      @@SimRacingCorner OK, so on AMS2 it will only use the 4 effects I've set.
      But in AC it will rumble like a PS4 controller to just about everything, yet give priority to the effects I've set.
      I really can't figure out why AC is pushing extra effects through that I don't even have enabled.
      Under calibration, there's a slider to enable what AC is doing, and it was slid all the way to the option that sets auto effects.
      But even after resetting calibration and sliding it all the way to the left (only use predefined effects) it still rumbles as I drive down the road.
      I can't say I dislike it but I'd also like to disable it if I want

      @@Chef_BS1 Thanks for reply. Yes I've researched extensively into tactile transducers for console setup. It's a pity that you cannot customise it via software like you can on pc. @Chef_BS1 2 года назад +1

      @@free_styler I’m using a Nobsound NS-03G sub amp. I tried hooking my transducer up to a regular audio amp and it brought too many high frequencies to the transducer so I got the sub amp and much better. I’m still working on placement and plan to get another sub and amp once I’m done experimenting with this first setup. Btw. Im using a digital to analog audio converter to convert optical to RCAs.

    • @free_styler

      @@Chef_BS1 The Ns-03g only has one channel, is this OK for a setup that includes more than one transducer? I will be using it on a ps5 - no optical. Will use an hdmi splitter. Will definitely be getting an amp with sub output. Really appreciate your feedback. The info on the Internet is very limited when it comes to consoles.

      I've also have Emi with my Simjack pedal using bass shaker like this. I found that grounding the controller unit to the controller housing and grounding the pedal by soldering wire on it fixed it. Note i put it on the pedal base plate as mounting the bass shaker directly
      on the pedal still caused interference even with grounding

    These or TT25's?
    Update: I bought both. The TT25's are FAR better. Dayton TT25's have a more realistic rumble effect. Whereas these AliExpress shakers (I bought the 25 Ohm version from this video) feel more like a cellphone vibration.
    The only drawback of the Dayton TT25 would be their size. But I easily made some DIY wooden brackets to fit the shakers to my T-LCM pedals :)
