Shuttering area = 2.4*floor area seems too much?

The factor 2.4 includes the slab area, beam sides, beam soffits, column shuttering, and the wastage also.

@@EverythingCivil still it is very high as the slab area is 95%. So beam,beam sides, beam soffits, column shuttering, and the wastage are very small compare to flooe area.May be a factor of 1.5-1.6 is ok seems to me.

@@EverythingCivil does it include shuttering for staircase also?? what about shuttering calculation in case we go for basement shuttering bcoz we have retaining walls as well? Kindly reply
