    When the bars of different diameters are to spliced the lap length is calculated how according to ACI please reconfirm it.

      bro overlap is calculated considering dia of small bar, this is confirmed

      Lap length is calculated as per mix design of concrete. Mix design is higher lap length is smaller and vice versa.

    Sir hook length minimums 9d hota hai but 90° ke liye 10d or 135° ke liye 12d hota hai

      Yes there are provisions of 9d and 10d for hook length depending upon importance and type of structures.
      But for bend dedution 10d 12d is too much.
      Its 1d for 45 degreee bend
      2d for 90 degrees
      3d for 135 degree bend

      Mild steel deformed bar grade 60,40 are mostly used because these are more economical.

      This is confusing,most viewers ask me for this correction.it is smallar bar dia.
      Where bars of two different diameters are to be spliced, the lap length is governed by SMALLER DIAMETER.

    Your information about hook lenth is totally wrong.....right answer is 12 D for 135 degree bend , this information from IS Code 456:2000

      Dear I am not wrong but you are also right .
      You are mixing up two things.
      1.hook length
      2.bend deduction.

      The IS code is for India and ACI code is for international, but generally hook length is kept from 6D to 12D, but mostly it's 12D, but if add bent deduction then what should be the hook length?
