Crc anti corrosion and dielectric should be standard issue! Those 2 items are gold. Great job educating your fan base. I’m sure people get tired of me saying “Nick said…”
Thanks for the video it helps greatly. I actually watched one og your previous maintenance videos and each season i take the drive and lube it up with the marine CRC. I habe had no issues with my 2019 drive and still have the original shear pin.
Good stuff Nick🤝🏼 I've done this every sense you put out the 1st video of the this type of tip. It has been a pin saver 😂. Thanks for the updated video on how you do it 🙂🤝🏼. Until the next one ✌🏼 buddy
New subscriber here Nick. Would you know thread size for the epdl+ and the shear pin size as O/T could not provide it? They referred me to you. Sae or meteric? Also how do i order replacements of these from you please?
Thread size is 3/8 -24. Shear pin size - im not sorry but we do sell them on the website. Here's a link - navarrekayakfishing.com/shop/old-town-shear-pin/
I always wondered if Sasquatch eventually evolved into a human, what would it look like? Boom….answered Love your vids have used them several times over the years.
I want to support you brother, but I also do 3d printing, and asking ANYBODY to pay 25 dollars for .10 cents worth of fillament and maybe 50 cent for an insert is just ludicrous.
You’re missing a few dozen expenses that are required to run a business. 3D printing a few items here and there (not saying that’s what you do) is far different then using 3D Printing as a means of manufacturing. If you only factor in the cost of material then the majority of items in the world are injection molded for $0.01

Those two items save a ton of headache down the road.
I have taken all your expert advise and after flipping my Predator no issues
Oh shoot! I haven’t done that on any of my pedal drives. I need to check those, thanks.
You will probably find a bit of corrosion.

Exactly!!!! Unless you hit something and “shear” the shear pin you shouldn’t have to change it.
Glad you do the videos. They help a bunch
I’m glad people watch haha
Thanks Nick I need to do the shear pin thing.
Easy to do and makes a huge difference.
Can you put dielectric grease on your fishfinder's power cable and transducer cable to prevent the terminal connections from corrosion? Ty
Yes. You do not need to apply a ton of it though. To much can cause issues.
Great tip Nick !! I have been doing this since I saw your earlier videos
I figured it was a good time for a refresher. Simple steps that make a big difference.
Good advice Nick !! Thanks a bunch
Thanks for watching!
Good advice and information. Thanks.

I figured it would be nice to remake it with both types of drives this time just as quick reminder. Makes a huge difference and it’s easy to do.
Thank you for the very helpful video!!!!!!
Thanks for watching, Pam.
Should I use the dielectric on my Yak power Hub and NOCO genius onboard charger?
I would. Just a little bit though. Not much is required.
@@NavarreKayakFishing thank you

Do you use the Dielectric grease on the transducer connector for your fish finder?
Yes, sir. Stops corrosion.
What reapplication frequency would recommend for the shear pin treatment?
It’s honestly not needed to frequently. Maybe once every two months.
Can you make a sheer pin out of plastic, that floats? Let me know and I’ll buy one.
We’ve considered it and even tinkered around with it. I’ll see what I can do. It has its issues though.
Hello just got my pdl 120. Would you recommend this to non saltwater users. Will be ordering a lot from you . Thanks
Yes. It will still rust even in freshwater.
Why do you take the star washer off?
Because it’s not needed. The nut works the same way a nyloc nut works. No star washer required.

Ha! I’m glad the videos have been helpful.
Where can I buy that motor
That’s the motor that comes with the 106MK.
Can I use this on hobie drive?
You can use it on anything that you’re worried about rusting.
The spray is discontinued on Amazon it says 🇨🇦
I just purchased more the other day. Thinks it’s just in Canada?
@@NavarreKayakFishing yes we can’t get it.
