  • Wrestling Bios Presents - The 2010 Return of Bret Hart
Bret "The Hitman" Hart will always be remembered as one of the most popular superstars in the WWE during the 90s. During his best years, Bret Hart managed to capture the WWE Championship 5 times during his storied career. As things would turn out though, things didn't turn out quite so well for The Best there is, The Best there was and The best there ever will be.
After Survivor Series 1997, it was hard to imagine Bret ever coming back to the WWE. Bret expressed numerous times that he had no desire to work for Vince McMahon again, and we thought the wrestling chapter in his life had closed. No one could have imagined Bret Hart making a WWE comeback in the year 2010, but this is exactly what happened. Not only did Bret Hart return to Raw, but Bret even participated in a WrestleMania match against Vince McMahon.
In this mini documentary from Wrestling Bios, we take a look at Bret Hart's WWE Return in 2010. Topics covered include:
01:13 - Bret works on his "Best There Is" DVD documentary with the WWE in 2005
03:32 - Bret makes an apperance on Raw in 2007
04:45 - Vince McMahon announces Bret Hart will return to the WWE as a special guest host
06:12 - Bret Hart makes his WWE Return in January 2010
09:14 - The Seeds are planted for a Vince McMahon vs Bret Hart feud
13:01 - Bret makes another return to Raw to answer Vince McMahon
14:36 - Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon is booked for WrestleMania 26
17:10 - The WrestleMania 26 match featuring Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon
    - Much More!

Unfortunately, real life events got in the way, and their feud cost us a match with them still in their prime. I know they have reconciled in real life, but you have to wonder if the Montreal Screwjob never happened, and Michaels was not a drugged up prima donna (and almost became Hulk Hogan #2 cause of his backstage politicking), how would these two have elevated each other in further bouts.

It really is such a shame Bret suffered a concussion and a stroke on top of that. Would've loved to see him as the seasoned vet like HBK was the 2000s, working with the likes of Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, 2000s Undertaker, and maybe even HBK himself.

Once again, this channel showing great research and brilliant production. Quite easily one of the best wrestling channels going.
I loved his return and the fact he could bury the hatchet with Vince and Shawn, proving he was still a class act.
I did feel the revenge match was booked wrongly and should have been like McMahon/Trump with a representative wrestling on their behalf. But it is what it is
His biography was a fantastic read for me with a lot of honesty to a fault.
Keep up the fantastic work that you do though mate

It's interesting how Bret 9 times out of 10 is the bigger man. I can't stand no nothing wrestling "fans" who claim he is overrated. He is absolutely not overrated and never has been. For a guy with zero personality and charisma he is one of the GOATS and greatest of all time at every level so that's saying a lot. Hitman is one of only a couple of handfuls of guys who are on that top top tier and worthy of the rarest of titles that is "wrestling God". You want to know who is overrated? HBK is overrated. HHH is overrated and over decorated and in a major way. It's HBK and WWE with Vince leading the charge who screwed Bret over and there is Bret sticking his hand out for the handshake to bury the hatchet. Interesting how all of the scumbags seem to ban together along with Vince and anyone who they have targeted just by definition are heroes from Ultimate Warrior to Bret Hart. Respect to the greats inside and outside of the ring and Bret is on the right side of history believe that.

My favorite small moment of Bret's return run was when Bret and Shawn made up in the ring and at the end they played Shawn's music and Bret just had a slight look on his face like "MotherF***** still scoopin my heat" LOL

My brother and I were huge wrestling fans during the '90s and we both lost interest and stopped watching sometime in the mid 2000s. One day I ran down into the basement where he was on the computer and I told him that Bret Hart came back to WWE. He didn't believe me until I told him to open RUclips and hear Bret say, "Well I guess hell froze over"
