    Like so many others who commented, thanks for taking the time to make this video, the printer connected in 5 minutes, couldn't find this clear of an explanation anywhere else including T-Mobiles site

    Thank you !! I lost hours of my life on phone calls with T-Mobil and HP only to be told I need to buy a new printer. Your instructions got my printer up and running in less than 10 minutes. I have to thank you again, you saved me a few hundred dollars and my sanity 😉!!

    Excellent job for not being an IT guy... everybody had been struggling trying to hook up their printers to Tmobile home... even Tmobile support says you can't...and you just found the solution... awesome job!

    Thank you so much. I spent hours trying get my older printer to print from an older PC. I had seen brief written instructions on how to do this, but watching the video provided more info and tips that enabled this still somewhat computer savvy 82 year old woman to navigate through the procedure with relative ease. I'm ecstatic that it worked. Kudos to you!!!

    Man, I just spent 3 hours dealing with HP overseas tech support just to be told that I need to buy a wire for my wireless printer.
    Finally stumbled into this video and got it working in 5 minutes. You the man!!

      Yeah, I don’t get it. I don’t know why any of the printer manufactures or T-Mobile have made a RUclips video on how to do this. Clearly a lot of people just like yourself are having trouble, and you would think that they would make their own video to help their customers. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Thank you BJ for this on the money video....I have an 8 year old Brother machine which I have spent hours communicating with T-Mobile, Brother and Apple trying to get connected to the t-Mobile 5G Gateway modem...T-Mobile helped me get very close, but your final comment was what made the difference...I needed to go back to the setting on my iPhone and change the network from the newly created one with the lower security setting and set the network on the original t-Mobile setting...We now have all devices, Mac Mini, MacBook Pro, iPhone's and i Pads printing away....thank you so much...Mark

    Thank you so much. TMobile Tech Support couldn't tell me how to attach my printer to the Gateway. They actually told me to attach an ethernet cable. Your instructions were so clear and easy it only took me a few minutes. I was going to send it back, but thanks to you I will keep it and again THANK YOU.

    OMG - I am not computer savvy that much. My son tried to help me with this. I got T-Mobile to try to help me. I worked on this several times with my Epson printer and was able to print but all of a sudden the last several weeks to a month or two I haven’t been able to print. After watching your video, I did exactly what you said. I am not sure that I got everything exactly right but finally after sitting in here for about two hours my printer is working. I have the split network set up on my T-Mobile like you explained. I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you so much!!! I can finally print!!! ❤😊

    T-Mobile should hire you! After 2 hours on the phone with Canon tech support, and then an hour on the phone with T-Mobile, I found this on RUclips, wham bam, thank you ma’am, I’m up and running!

    I made numerous attemps to get my Epson printer connected to the T-Mobile internet and it failed every time. I decided to do a Google search and your RUclips link came up on how to connect a printer to the T-Mobile internet. I followed your
    step by step instructions and worked!! Thanks for doing this video, I was seriously considering buying a new printer, but now I won't have to.

    Thank you, just saved my sanity for ths second time. A year ago this video helped me set up printer to Tmobile internet. Two days ago my printer lost connection. I spent too much time with no success. Luckily I remembered this video. Rewatched it, the tmobile security level had gone back to their default. Quick fix.

    Awesome solution! Used this a year ago on 1st 5G stack and worked - just moved and new model stack - the 2.4 by itself did not work but the WPA backward setting did the trick again. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

    I would just like to echo some of the favorable comments. I worked on this problem for 3 days using the HP software. Nothing worked. I stumbled on your video and fixed it in 15 min. It also allowed an old Ipad to connect also which I was going to toss. Thanks so much.

    This was crucially helpful in setting up my printer. I got hung up trying to use the new network and 2.4 until I rewatched your video and went back to the 5G and bam, the printer started spitting out test pages. Thank you!

      Yeah, once you’re done setting everything up, you have to go back into your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and select your main network for the printer to work!

Your last comment on the video saved me! ...when you noted to go BACK to your main WiFi network connection on your main device, don't keep your main device on the printer WiFi setting. -Great job!     You are a genius! I was trying to connect my last gen printer to the latest and greatest and was being told it was not possible. I'm very happy that I can be persistent because upon more queries with rephrased questions I found your video. It worked like a charm and now I'm even getting better and faster connections, along with safer, because the T-Mobile gateway came set for the older settings and connections! So I actually addressed a few issues that I didn't even know I had. Thank you VERY much. I was almost ready to buy a newer printer but I have years worth of ink stocked up and did not want to toss it all in the trash. When I was done with this new configuration I even got a notification that I'm now using the WiFi security (So I wasn't before this!!!) Again, thank you so much for taking the time to post this video. You have a fan for life!

    This is awesome. Thank you so much. I really appreciate you making the effort. For anyone else, I will share my experience. Set it up, and it did the 90 second thing but it didn't seem to take. Did it again and the " printer" Network did show up. Connected the printer to it. Wasn't clear on the last part of the video but I did discover that my computer couldn't find the HP printer through the new network I had connected, but then switch back to the normal network and it found it and printed. Works like a charm. So awesome. I never would have thought to do anything like this

      Thank you for sharing Matt! Yeah, one important part of this set up process is when you’re done putting your Wi-Fi on your phone or whatever device you’re setting everything up from back onto your main network. If you stay in that new network, the printer will not work. It automatically switches over to the split network when you’re in your main T-Mobile Wi-Fi network.

    I spent HOURS on the phone with different HP techs that barely spoke English, only for them to tell me my printer was obsolete and I needed to buy a new printer. I subscribe to HP Ink so my printer wasn't communicating with the internet, so they shut down my ability to print with their ink cartridges. I had also spent a great deal of time with T-Mobile trying to set up the same thing you described but it didn't work for me. Luckily I found your very informative and easy to follow video and my printer was up and running in less than thirty minutes. Getting this done was the highpoint of my week after hours of frustration!

    Thank you for the video. I was still having problems throughout most of the morning and into the afternoon and even contacted t-mobile, they basically told me to do the same thing you did. Wasn't until I cleared the Canon 4500 of previous network settings that all worked beautifully. Thank you for the video.

    I know this video is old by now but thank you so much for this tutorial, I've been struggling to get my printer connected to the wifi for hours ever since we switched to t-mobile because my hp officejet is almost a decade old by now. Tech support suggested I make a new 2.4gH network(didn't know about the wpa settings), and when that didn't work I was nearing the end of my rope. But this worked!!

    I’m pretty sure this comment is going to be just like the rest. Your a good man, true home inspector that’s good and loves what he does and just wants to get info to help people. I’ve watched 10 videos trying to set up to my T-Mobile gateway and would of probably never figured it out if I hadn’t seen your video. Thank you so much for what you do.

    Dude. THANK YOU for posting this. I've had endless dead ends with the canon manual, re-registering, buying the cdrom accessory and that failing, but THIS worked! I really didn't want to pay the $20 canon support fee to get assistance. Thank you!!

    Thanks bro. I’ve been trying to figure this out on my HP printer since I switched to tmobile. Was ready to buy another printer. Followed your instructions and it works. Took less than 5min to setup.

    THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! I have been wrestling with this issue for two days now and this SIMPLE set-up solved my problem!! I want to stop in to T-Mobile and let them know to tell customers who sign up for the Gateway that they will need to do this same thing to work their Wifi Printers. Thank you again!!!! Michele Hurry

    Just finished watching your video after I worked at connecting my Brother printer with the T Mobile Wifi most of the last 2 days. I've done all the preliminaries with T Mobile and Brothers and now I'm ready to connect per your video and print which has stumpd me. You have given me hope. I'll let you know how I make out.

    Oh my gosh, it worked!! I still find it hard to believe that T-Mobile doesn’t have instructions on their website, but maybe they figure it’s good enough to let their customers figure it out 😅 I had to re-add my Canon printer like it was a new printer, but it worked without a hitch.

    My next step was to sell this expensive printer to anyone who had any other Wifi provider and buy a new printer for myself. I would've still been on the same sinking ship, just in a different seat with a worse view, if ya know what I mean...lol Thank you so much! You are the tech guy now too. So add that to your resume! I hope sharing and liking this video compensates you in some way. It'll never be enough IMO! So easy for this old lady to follow and succeed. I just can't express how valuable your help was!     Worked like a charm! Missing from your video is how to tell Windows 10 to find the printer on a secondary network. No explanation necessary, the printer setup found it automatically. Thanks again, we had been discussing the need for replacing our Canon Pixma MX429 (7 years old) with a newer model, but then we found your video!

    I almost bought new HP Printer ! I had tons of ink I thought I needed to throw away ! God Bless you !
    I thought old printer is not up to date so only 5G Printer will work... but just lowering security and create new
    Network solved all the myth
