One factor that is not mentioned is the way 100 push ups a day for one month, can change your mentality towards getting fit. I have struggled over the last few years to get motivated due to a few family issues. I needed to get my head into it because i was stop / start all the time and could not stick with it. Doing the 100 push ups per day for a month has given me that small simple goal - i do 25 reps 4x a day (even at work). but then i started adding squats, then dips etc... now i have a list of things i do each day. It has really made a difference for me as it has helped me get focused and now i am getting fitter, eating healthy, becoming stronger - the more i advance, the more i add to my workout and the more motivation i have to improve myself. A simple goal is sometimes important because when you know you have achieved this, you can improve. It gives you the confidence to get back on track and stay on track.

I did 100 push ups and 100 sit ups a day for two months now, and I am getting shredded as fuck! It worked for me, but I'm lean and going for definition, not bulk. Probably not the best exercise for those looking for mass, but definitely works for defining an already athletic frame. Dudes, I look like a million bucks! And the best part is I can do them anywhere: at home, in between clients at work, in a park while waiting for a friend. It is so accessible. There isn't an excuse not to do them, unless you're lazy. Start pushing that earth as hard as you can! Push that earth back into the Pleistocene.

One thing that they're doing wrong is locking their elbows when they go up on every rep. That could seriously hurt them long term, instead you should start with your elbows straight but not locked, go down and have your chest just barely hovering above the ground, then go back up with straight elbows and not locking them.

Got a recommendation for some guys out there who aren't at the upper end of the rep range. I used to train like this myself for a while before i got my gym membership and had great success with. I originally got the inspiration for this Ray Lewis who used that method almost daily back when he was playing in the NFL. You want to take a deck of cards and mix it. Now you will draw one card after another and do push ups according to the card drawn, so if you draw a 2 you 2 pushups, if you draw a 9 you do nine. Jack, Queen and King are worth 10 pushups and the ace is worth 15. I recommend not going for more than 10-15 second breaks in between sets and trying to improve both you maximum number of pushups and the time you do them in. Once you can do like two full stack of cards you can draw 2 at once and add the numbers up to make things more difficult or things like that. This training method really helps improving both strength and endurance whilst also giving you pretty damn good visible gains. I think i got from like 45 max pushups to like 85 within like 2 months of repeating this training every 2-3 days for about half an hour.
Of course, ive been doing it since 23rd of October until now and have gone from being able to do 10 pressups to 25 pressups. My shoulders broadened, my triceps increased in muscle mass and i lost a lot of weight to the piint that the upper half of my chest is completely flat and toned
Now this is an excellent video. I started the pushup challenge along with some friends for 90 days. I was concerned about plateauing, which I often see when I'm training for marathons without changing up running inclines or difficulties. After seeing this, I think I will change position every week to different stance pushups. I'll post results!
Keep pushing from 100 to larger numbers, and make the sets bigger as you get stronger and you will see results. Eaty, sleepy, trainy. That's what I did and it's worked out for me!
Spot-on, as always! My 10-year old just started the 100 push-ups a day challenge, something he was turned on to at school. I thought it was a stretch for him, and 3 days in he was already very sore. an interesting method from my karate teacher: do 1 push-up, then rest for ~10 sec. do 2, then rest. then 3, and so on, increasing the count. after you do 10, rest, then do 9 and keep decreasing. In the end, you have exactly 100 push-ups.

Perhaps a more interesting variation, as far as strength is concerned, is to focus more on the total time duration for which you can do your pressups (making sure to do each push-up correctly and varying the types/hand positions of the push-ups). That way you will think less about doing them quickly to do more and try to gradually increase the total time duration of muscle tension for sets of reps.
The human body is extremely adaptive. If you had a job that requires some type of extreme physical exertion that must be done on a daily basis then your body will adapt to meet the challenge and make you incredibly strong in the process. I’ve seen it with different “hard labor” jobs in the nurseries around where I grew up. They grew and transported different kinds of plants and trees and some of the jobs required extreme physical exertion over and over again for 8-12 hrs a day. Caring and moving heavy weight repeatedly, all day, and digging holes and trenches repeatedly. Some of the strongest people I’ve ever, ever, met in my life worked those jobs!

Workout together for a healthier body and mind. Back to the gym next week, yay :) !!
stifler4eva1 I actually stopped it coz I could do more than 30 pushups. Now I do it in a different way... 3 sets of max one arm pushup 50 clap pushups and 1 set max pushups. This way I work on every aspect of fitness- strength, power and endurance.
I just finished my 30 days/100 pushups! Day one took me 45 minutes -- 23 sets to get to 10! Obviously out of shape. My arms felt like they were full of wet cement for the first week. After that it got easier and all the soreness went away. I didn't miss a day, and today I did my 100 pushups in about 4 sets of 25. My chest and arms feel significantly larger, and there's no doubt I"m stronger for having done this challenge.
Honestly this is what I did for my first 2 weeks of training in addition to equal jumping jacks and crunches. I started at 15-20 max push-ups. It worked pretty well but since then I've added planks, pull-ups, and different push-up styles.
I did 140 push ups for about 7 months. The big change occurred in the first 2 months and from then it just became a routine, like brushing my teeth. I didn't feel any change. Then I included different push ups with the regular push ups. I did about 50 regular push ups, 20 diamond push ups, 20 Hindu push ups and 10 one handed push ups for 2 months. It felt like I started all over again. Come to think of it, that about 10 years ago. Now I am a fleshy scholar.

I like this challenge. I improved every single day (mainly because of muscle memory). When I first started doing it seriously, I was able to do 20 in a row the first day. The next was 25. Then 30. Then 35. After two weeks, I reached 50 push ups in a row. I could've easily reached 100 push ups if I had a month more.
Be careful guys! Doing pushups every day is really harmful to your muscles and joints if done frequently. Muscles need rest in order to heal and grow. Check out our latest video about this topic for more info (free chest workout at home included in the video)
Mark Zoleta I agree with OMG Master. Take longer rests if you want to knock out a total of 10 sets. 1 minute of rest is way too low, take at least 5 minutes and work from there
I can only manage 20/25 straight pushups. This is what I'm doing to get a start on getting back into shape. Even 10 per min for ten mins got hard towards the end...
In 2007 and 2008 i did reps of 20-30 push-up 5 times a day. My family and friend noticed a difference within 3 months. I realized my chest and arms got significantly bigger. I also felt great!
i smoke 10 cigarettes a day. I know smoking is a bad habit and i knew i had to try to quit. But as you can guess you cant just quit it in a single day. So i turned it into a win-win game. I had to do 20 squats and 30 diamond push ups for every cigarette i smoked. that makes 300 diamond push ups and 200 squats every, single, day. It is a win-win game! If i dont feel like doing pushups or squats, i just cant smoke and it decreased my average smoking for a day. If i really want to smoke, i have to do them. i have been doing it for months now and it feels great. I still didnt quit smoking tho.
This video motivated me and I did first set 9 reps and the second and third as 8 reps... As a total count 25 pushups... On the 100th day I will do 100 pushups... Thanks for making me think about my body fitness after a 💔
Method 1 through 3 is really an interesting program. Among them, I find method 3 emphasizing more the strength endurance very creative and also useful. For me, if I plan to do workout-daily program(e.g. bench everyday), using your ideas of 3-methods, and but for the fourth day, I will do some "nice & slow bench press"(60% to 70% of one rep max.) to boost the recovery cycle. Then for the fifth day, I start the entire cycle from method 1 or the like. Thank you so much for this insightful and informative video!
I DEMAND NOW! ME NEED MUSCLES! Also, what is your opinion on weights? Do you use them or have any opinion towards them? I watched your video about pros and cons but i want to hear your personal thoughts
I was wondering if you covered type 1 muscle fibers (slow push-ups) for beginners, as well as to increase overall strength. We tend to do things too fast at times, and control should be first objective. Also was waiting for weighted push-ups, didn't come! That would be good, yes? Another great video.

This Monday I started the 100 push ups challenge and you guys uploaded a video about it. :) lucky me
Amartya Sahastranshu yeah they saved you
How is it going?
stifler4eva1 he stopped lol dude did you even watch the video
stifler4eva1 I actually stopped it coz I could do more than 30 pushups. Now I do it in a different way...
3 sets of max one arm pushup
50 clap pushups and
1 set max pushups.
This way I work on every aspect of fitness- strength, power and endurance.
Amartya Sahastranshu try to use a backpack with some weight inside
I just finished my 30 days/100 pushups! Day one took me 45 minutes -- 23 sets to get to 10! Obviously out of shape. My arms felt like they were full of wet cement for the first week. After that it got easier and all the soreness went away. I didn't miss a day, and today I did my 100 pushups in about 4 sets of 25. My chest and arms feel significantly larger, and there's no doubt I"m stronger for having done this challenge.
Wow,you said everything,You have my sub!
Pepe is impressed!
Finally someone is giving a proper analysis to this challenge, they made it from useless to a valid approach, good job guys great videos as always
Please make a video about nutrition :)
bumpy knuckles fuck off
+bumpy knuckles you too
They've been saying it's on the way for about a year now. I don't think it's gonna happen :/
And that for a good reason.
Nutrition istn a big deal at all.

Damn u guys are just nailing it. Whew thanks! Finally a page that makes total sense
What about the 100 sit ups, the 100 squats and 10km run?
SteNo yes! Or should I say SteYes
Where push ups
Where pull ups
*one punching everything*
oh man you are going to get bald
Do any of these challenges actually work and how long does it take to se results
Of course it will. You gain strength after doing push ups. It really gives me strength
Haha, love the Calisthenicmovement rims on the wheels! :D
Vadym Dovganyuk me too haha. They're selfmade 💪
Science the shit out of the challenge! Keep it up guys!
I paused the video for him to rest😝
dimitris kordolaimis not all heroes wear capes. you may or may not have one.
Honestly this is what I did for my first 2 weeks of training in addition to equal jumping jacks and crunches. I started at 15-20 max push-ups. It worked pretty well but since then I've added planks, pull-ups, and different push-up styles.
Please, tell about how to breathe while doing push ups or other pumping exercises.
Me: wow it's already 10 pm, let me watch a fitness video before going to bed
*Gets Motivated
Me:(Does 100 push up before going to bed)
Stfu i know you did not do it.
@@Oboro911 it's a joke dumbass.
It's not that hard even for unfit people like myself
Watch RUclips while you take 10 then rest for 10 sec and then take 10 blablala
@@olischio I guarantee you're not doing proper push ups

Great aproach! Well explained!
5:52 after a long ride. Give me 6 pushups!
Thanks for making such detailed videos. It really helps me to train smart and push myself.
Gracias!!
Si
I really like these guys and videos. A professional actor cannot do better :D Fabulous face gestures :D and more important the content of these videos: fun and "eatable". Great job, thank you!
0:30 YES I NEED A LOT
I like this challenge.
I improved every single day (mainly because of muscle memory).
When I first started doing it seriously, I was able to do 20 in a row the first day.
The next was 25.
Then 30. Then 35.
After two weeks, I reached 50 push ups in a row.
I could've easily reached 100 push ups if I had a month more.
You were out of months? That's new.
my upper chest hurts after i do pushups. is it okay to continue doing pushups even if my chest hurts? is it normal?
Cyrus Hoshimiya your chest growing
Cyrus Hoshimiya no pain, no gain, yes its supposed to hurt
Make sure you have at least 2 rest days in a week.
Be careful guys! Doing pushups every day is really harmful to your muscles and joints if done frequently. Muscles need rest in order to heal and grow. Check out our latest video about this topic for more info (free chest workout at home included in the video)
I only cnan do 10 push ups straight, but I think I can do 100 push up,just 10 reps and 1 minute rest between.
P.S.Thank you for the awesome tutorial!
Mark Zoleta no , at 2nd or third set you will crash on the floor
Mark Zoleta I agree with OMG Master. Take longer rests if you want to knock out a total of 10 sets. 1 minute of rest is way too low, take at least 5 minutes and work from there
I can only do my max rep 2-3 times in a day, and definitiely not after 1 min. Split it to 5-7 per set
If ten is your true max good luck on 100 with a minute between sets
I can only manage 20/25 straight pushups. This is what I'm doing to get a start on getting back into shape. Even 10 per min for ten mins got hard towards the end...
Nice explanation... Makes a lot of sense.. Great video
0:30 notice how he lifts his thumb every push up?
Because he's too strong. No joke.
When you get good at push ups you start to explode up with force
In 2007 and 2008 i did reps of 20-30 push-up 5 times a day. My family and friend noticed a difference within 3 months. I realized my chest and arms got significantly bigger. I also felt great!
1000 is my personal best in a day... Stay hard.
proper professional advice , thank you
a can u make a video on diet plan.....
I love Saitama giving advices
Gets out of car, starts doing pushups. lol.
You don't do that???
Normal day in Germany
i smoke 10 cigarettes a day.
I'm watching this while eating candy LMAO i'm hopeless
One pushup for each candy challenge. GO!
Dude's an enigma!
This video motivated me and I did first set 9 reps and the second and third as 8 reps...
As a total count 25 pushups...
On the 100th day I will do 100 pushups...
Thanks for making me think about my body fitness after a 💔
The problem is that many will never accept that normal push ups are quite hard for them
Now I know your're from Leipzig! :D
There is a pop sound in my elbow whenever i do push up.......
Plz plz give me solution plzzzz🙏🙏🙏
Bone spurs possibly I got the same problem
i have the same problem bruh, i hope someone here can give us a solution
@@kevinrayignacio4351 grind trough it!!
Same here with me, after 3 days started to click in my left elbow.
The next day was gone, just keep up.
Do what you can over your workout period, you will progress.

We will show you some day :D
I DEMAND NOW! ME NEED MUSCLES! Also, what is your opinion on weights? Do you use them or have any opinion towards them? I watched your video about pros and cons but i want to hear your personal thoughts
Those are the clearest push ups i've seen in my life.
If your body doesn't recover from nonstop 100 pushups daily, You will wake up in xxxtentacion's concert.
I was wondering if you covered type 1 muscle fibers (slow push-ups) for beginners, as well as to increase overall strength. We tend to do things too fast at times, and control should be first objective.
Also was waiting for weighted push-ups, didn't come! That would be good, yes?
Another great video.
Johnny sins strikes again..😂😂
LMAO
I think that you're the only ones on youtube who know how to do pushups correctly
