Oh, n if that's the case, they prolly gave honor to the corpses that were there n brought them down to their families then? So they can have a proper burial then n the mountain is no longer a graveyard as well, correct?? Lol sorry, rather sad to hear the mountain doubled as a graveyard n people still continue to die today.

Also, in regards to the lake nios (not sure if that's spelled correctly) carbon dioxide outgassing, the best time to visit (why would you want to anyway?) Would be immediately after the gas cleared, as it would stand to reason that the levels of trapped CO2 would be at a minimum. Other factors to consider however would be the stability of the terrain, as it was a landslide that caused the disruption to the equilibrium of the environment, but the more important factor would likely be the levels of trapped CO2 like I said above.

Just want to point out the error in information about the coldest inhabited place, in Russia: shortest nights there are not 21 hours, they would be 3 hours, in summer. Just like any place on earth, there is an annual day-night cycle that corresponds to the season, with the equatorial regions having the smallest difference seasonally, to the polar regions having the greatest difference, seasonally. No place on earth will ever have a "shortest night" being more than 12 hours.
