    A normal well pump is designed for pressures between approximately 30 - 60 pounds of pressure. A pressure washer pump is designed for much higher pressures approximately 1500 - 3000 or more pounds of pressure depending on the model. A pressure washer pump is designed for low volume of water but at a high pressure. You need to use special nozzles with a small hole to produce the pressure.

    You did a good job on how a 4 stroke engine works, but limited info on how the pump works. Like how much hp is needed for a certain pressure and gpm. Why does the wand have to be so long? Does a longer wand increase pressure?

    • @joleaiperlis5347
      @joleaiperlis5347 2 года назад

      If anything, it would be the wand's tube inner diameter responsible for the output pressure..

      IME, a long wand is a good thing (giggity!) because you want to be back from the high pressure water, or you'll get even wetter than you already will. Plus, the wand is sized about right to spray the ground in front of you without stooping, assuming you're of average height.

    • @henrywashington3732

      @@bcubed72 Your a nut! Please don't reply back that saying that's where all the pressure is created🤣🤣

    Moving water will not freeze and the pump will keep warm when it is running. The problem is when it is turned off. You would need to put some pump saver in the unit each time the unit is shut down. Remove the pressure hose and drain all the water out after each use or store it inside your house. The pump saver part # is 1941855 on our website.

    It is possible the unloader valve is stuck and not releasing the pressure. Don’t get this mixed up with the thermal release valve they are two different things. The unloader valve recirculates the pressurized water back through the pump to avoid damaging the pump.

    great video, i was using this today at work it was really fun!!! CLEANS ANYTHING. i was also having a bit of fun with it shooting it in the air :p

  • @repairclinic
    @repairclinic  11 лет назад

    You can remove the unloader valve and see if the engine will turn over. If not you might try removing the pump from the engine to determine if it is the engine or the pump that is not turning. The unloader is most likely under a cap and will need to be pulled out to see if it is working properly. You can look at one on our website for reference. Part # 1971071 although this may not be the one for your unit.

    The higher pressure nozzles do not let enough water pass by the injector venturi to draw the chemicals. We can't recommend altering the manufactures design. If you put a tube on the inlet side there won't be enough water passing thru the hose to draw chemicals unless a larger nozzle size is used on the high pressure side. The other thing you need to think about is if you put chemicals in the inlet side, compressing the chemicals could potentially be dangerous and the chemicals can harm the pump.

    What would cause my pressure washer to not crank? This is my first time using the product and was working fine until it ran out of gas. So I let the engine cool for a bit, added gas and then pulled on the start cord. Nothing budged. I did release the pressure at the hose trigger, even disconnected the water hose from the unit. Still the crank shaft will not move. I suspect the pump still has high pressure inside and that is why I am not able to crank the engine. Any suggestions?

    Why does a chemical injection location have to be on the outport pipe? I have a gas/portable prssure washer I need to use to spray my 35 ft tall trees. The low pressure option to suck treatments squirts maybe 10'. I need to mix the trtmnt into the high pressure shooting 40 to 50'. The car wash sprayers have an option for soap and etc. I need to make a pitot tube attachment at the water inlet. Comments ? Options? how tos?

    Hello,
    I´d like to buy a underbody lance for an AR Blueclean 610. This pressure washer has the specifications of 1885 PSI (130 bar) and 2.1 GPM (8.3 L/min) and it has a valve to adjust the pressure water. It has the VARI-SPRAY NOZZLE HEAD AL413R (I couldn´t find the orifice size data of it). I´d like to ask you about the exact nozzle size: do I have to consider the maximum PSI and GMP for select the correct nozzle for the lance? In this case the nozzle size will be 3.5. What about the other pressure achieved with the adjustable pressure valve? For example, if I adjust it to 1000 PSI, will I have to change the nozzle tip to another (example: 4.0)? or always I have to use the same tip with its orifice size related to the MAXIMUM PSI and GMP even when I decrease the pressure? Thanks a lot in advance.

    The correct terminology is 4 Stoke, not 4 cycle. A cycle is a course or series of events or operations that recur regularly and usually lead back to the starting point. Note that is states leads back to the same starting point. To use cycle to represent ½ revolution of the crankshaft, (which is what you are doing), means that at the end of every ½ revolution, the same set of events will occur. This is not true; a different set of events occur next that when they are completed, a different set of results then occur. This happens every ½ revolution of the crankshaft, which equates to the piston moving either upwards or downwards in the cylinder one time, an action called stroke. It takes four such piston movements for the engine to fire a cylinder, hence the term 4 stroke. You prove my exact explanation of why it's called 4 stroke starting at 7:38 when you describe what happens inside the engine in order for it to run. Oh, BTW, vacuum does not draw air into the cylinder, atmospheric pressure at the throat of the carburetor pushes ir through it and into the engine. Although you probably state it that way to simplify it for people that don't know how a internal combustion engine works. At least I give you kudos for not ever calling it a motor.
    A 2 stroke engine accomplishes the same events, (albeit in a different way using less parts), in two ½ revolutions of the crankshaft; hence the 2 stroke term. Each stroke consists of a series of events that without the other(s) that are necessary for the engine to run, do not constitute a cycle. Why the change of terminology to use a word that is totally inaccurate doesn't make sense. Does stroke offend some people?
