Best free instructional video on downstream/maintenance ever!
+Bradley Fulbright thank you Bradley
@@AllAboutPressureWashing What is the difference between softwashing and downstream? Is it the same? Where a downstream injector is just the process of how to softwash?
This might just be the best "how to" video on RUclips. Great work!
Glad you think so!
Best channel to learn all things pressure and soft washing. Zero experience when I first started in 2018 and because of videos and guys like this I love been able to learn an extraordinary amount of surface cleaning and now stay booked out 1-2 months busy as all get up!!
Excellent video
+Aaron's Lean & Mean Academy Thank you brother
Thank you for providing a clear, concise, easy-to-understand explanation focusing on the essential points.
It was easy to understand, and I greatly appreciated it.
Glad for this video. I'm starting this month and have decided not to soft wash and only downstream, you've confirmed my thinking. Cheers!

What's going on? I'm new to the whole power washing business starting my own company called before and after pro wash. Been investing a lot of money into equipment, LLC's insurance, business cards, door hangers, advertisement. I do work full-time but I'm trying to turn this into something full-time as we all want in life lol. Just wanted to say I appreciate all the knowledge that you and forever self-employed give me for free and I watch you guys on a daily basis keep doing what you guys are doing. You guys are awesome and go make that money baby
Thank you and good luck
Thank you for this video! Pure information no fluff, much appreciated!
Thanks man I just got a new pressure washer to start a business and all you’re videos helped me to get to this point
I have a Greenworks 2300. Soap doesn’t come out of the wand but soap is going thru the tubing. Now I’m going to check the injector. Thanks for the info.👍🏻
Thanks Mike!! I’ve been so confused which one I needed and they’re all basically the same thing running on a Venturi system.
I’ve actually got chemical injection system on my machine. Really appreciate your help and knowledge.
Carl.

My pleasure.
Thanks for the video! This video was very helpful to me to get my valve cleaned out and the soap flowing again.
Great stuff Mike
+Christian Yannazzone Thank you Christian

+Tim Salameh thanks Tim
Downstreaming is the original soft wash dog... Love downstreaming!
💯
Thank u very much I couldn’t figure out what was wrong until I seen this video the little ball from my injector fell out when I was changing it and I didn’t notice thank u very much appreciate ur videos
What’d you do when you noticed there wasn’t a ball in it? Just bought a pressure washer and the downstream injector that came with it wasn’t working so I took it off and found out there’s not a ball in it..
@@loganweber693 hi I order a new one on Amazon it came in a 2 pack worked perfect after that
This was so helpful answered every question I had
This video was extremely helpful and put me back on production. Thank you
Another great vid. Nice and simple
Thanks Gerald
Great video str8 and to the point!! Thank u
👊🏻
Awesome video, quick and informational. Thank you!
Simple and straight to the point. Thanks
I love your guys' video. I can't wait to purchase your guide.
New guy here thanks for the info
Thanks for the sub!
No problem 🫡
Good to know I will let my pressure washer know
Finally someone who doesnt talk slow. Time is precious
Which injector did you use ? Thank you very much
Great video! 2 cents to add because it drove me NUTS! Make sure your hose is 3/8! You cannot get a vacuum with 1/4 inch hose. Rebuilt the check valve 4 times before I realized that problem was the 1/4 inch hose.
Thank you! Simple and to the point.
My downstream inyector only work if I do use 50 ft hose. When I switch to 150 ft hose it stop working . What should I do to make it work with my long hose . Thanks 🙏
You are the GOAT in this game. Thay is all. Lol
Thanks for the advice. Good and thorough
your the man bro
How much chemicals is bought into the mix for each 10 litres of water? - the standard on the Dewalts stock injector is 10%
Get the FREE mix calculator at MyQuoteIQ.com
Hello from San Francisco CA
I use this connector Instead having sop out, my sop tank got full of water
Very good info! Thanks.
Awesome video mate, up unfortunately can't fnd any one in NZ that can set this up for me
💥You mentioned downstreaming but never showed the equipment setup and how to do it.
What video did you watch?
Hey Mike! Quick question…I am starting a pressure washing business and have been learning a ton from your videos. I def will get your instructional once I get everything together. Question: You mention rinsing with the ball valve (02:16). What exactly is that? I know what a ball valve is, but what are you relating to? Thank in advance!
if you hook a ball valve up to the end of you’re hose you can you use it to rinse with. so if say you apply chemicals you can just use the ball valve to rinse it off with
My problem is I don’t know anything about plumbing. I need to learn how to make spare injectors set up with couplers so that I can quickly replace them in the middle of a job.
I purchased the downstream injector however this one that I got from Amazon is adjustable and has a metering valve. Was this a bad idea? I'm guessing I would have to open the valve all the way up to get the max amount of chemical right?
Yes - it’s just a preference thing, we like fixed because it’s less moving parts, which means less opportunity for failure.
I created a video on this exact subject and I'd love to get your opinion! Thanks again for an awesome video.
+That Millennial Dad I will check it out!
You're the man
Do you prefer gas or electric pumps when softwashing homes
Electric
WOW this is a awesome know how video
+Ricky walker thanks
Great Video! Thank you, God Wins!!!
Thx
How do I find out the ratio my injector pulls chemical?
Thanks for the great info. If I have a downstream injector connected at the washer right after a ball valve, then will my surface cleaner and wand get enough water flow? I ask because if the injector constricts the amount of water that can pass through it, then would it also result in less pressure at the gun? Thanks again!
Great vid! Bad ass shirt !
I have always been told the draw is 10:1. Do downstream injectors vary?
Thank you, would 200ft of high pressure hose be to long for downstream washing?
+Delroy Chambers Yes
Thank you
Quick question Micheal, if I am doing a driveway, can I go with the black tip for the entire process??
No
Does this injector reduce the flow, if it does, any idea how much on a 3gpm/3000 psi unit.
Not enough to worry about it
Excellent video. Subbed
Good video. I have a question for you and hopefully you can help me out with my pressure washer issue.
It won't turn on but when I put a little bit of Carb/Choke cleaner, it works but only for a few seconds (Husqvarna 3100).
Thanks a lot in advance sir!
Can you get hotter mixes downstreaming then using an xjet?
Great info! But this means you can only use a batch system where the percentage of chemicals is predetermined, am I right? Or is it possible to adapt a blender manifold to get a different mix?
my machine has a down stream thing built into the pump. i don’t want to run bleach into it. I purchased a sown stream injector but it doesn’t work well
Thanks for the video! I know, if using a separate pump, the SH mix should be 1:1, but what if using and injector straight from the pressure washer? Should the mix ratio be changed, and to what ratio? Thanks
Hey, is there a way to use longer hose and still get ample sh injection?
Longer than 150ft
Brand, new hose, high flow injector, a few restrictions in line as possible, like Hose reels, 90° bends, etc.
Number One Way to Softwash
+Ron Musgraves TRUTH!
What kind of connection do you use? The setup I figured out is spewing water out at the connections.
Why does my chemical bucket that the downstream injector is in eventually fill up with water?
Your chemical injector is bad
How does the high pressure not draw chemical from the downstream injector but lower pressure does?
Need help, added more hose and now i cant downstream. .. only with 50ft. Any more hose I can't pull suction suction. I've tried 2.3mm, 2.1mm & 1.8mm general pump injectors. Pump is canpump 4.7gpm, using jrod for 4gpm. Any help greatly appreciated
Do you know were I can get the valve with the spring and ball bearing? Mine broke and can't find it
What are the best tips to use while downstreaming ? And if I'm rinsing with an M5twist, it won't be pulling Chem correct? :)
Benjamin, the tips are dependent completely upon your machine, the psi in the GPM. You can consult with the manufacture of your machine to determine what would be best. I have never used an M5 twist, I'm not a fan of X jetting for multiple reasons but it is my understanding that if you use it just as a tip, that will prevent the flow of chemical with a simple twist.
I used the X-jet with the twist nozzle for 2 jobs and went back to down streaming. The x twisted either way will still pull detergent. I installed a 1/4 turn back valve about a foot and a half below the xjet to turn off the detergent. I went back to down streaming using a j-rod and haven't looked back.
Can I build a soft rush rig to work from the back of my 4 door sedan? I don't have a truck but I won't to get started. But all these videos from dudes that are setting up ACTUAL rigs. I need the starter version of this even if it's just me with a pump sprayer
Anything is possible
@@AllAboutPressureWashing ? Is their a build for downstreaming that could fit
Thank you for the video! I am only able to get soap with the injector when using the black soap tip not my j-rod. I've just purchased a new pw machine it came with the injector kit the arrow is pointing towards the wand away from the pump. I've put it on the machine like in your video and on the hose closest to the wand. What am I doing wrong? Oh and I have a 2.5 GPM and 4 GPM machine with about 100 feet of pw hose and injector hose about 5 feet same issue on both machines. Thx for any recommendations
I know this is an old video but does the chemical injector have a set ratio or is it adjustable
my machine has a down stream thing built into the pump. i don’t want to run bleach into it. I purchased a sown stream injector but it doesn’t work
Thank you for the videos and for the knowledge. Im just starting out and only have completed a few simple driveway jobs. I'm nervous about using chemical and causing damage. I'm ready to start trying it though. Where do you order your chemical injectors? Iv looked up a few injectors and they say there rated for pressure but the comments say they wont draw soap and there garbage. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you again for the videos
I wonder how much percentage is coming out of the tip when downstreaming straight from the SH jug
People say you cant use one of these with a 2.5gpm machine?? I dont wanna run chemicals threw my pump. Thanks
You can use it for a 2.5
With a 4gpm and comit pump can I run a 6 foot hose from my Chem tank to the downstream injector and it pull
have you come across a downstream injector that can get you close to the ratio you need to clean a roof? I hear the suds sucker is a high draw injector.
+smitty4699 there are a couple that can get you a stronger mix but not really anything close to a roof mix.
I have lost the spring . what spring I can use. And how can I make the downstream injector which is attached with the pump working ?
+Mohamed mahir call Ray
What if 150 feet isn’t enough to reach to back of house?
Move your truck - get a mobile unit - add more hose and cross your fingers it will pull
New subscriber here! Does cleaning a concrete deck around an inground pool require special precautions to protect the pool and also not contaminate chemicals in pool water?
Git it!!!!
Got it
Do they have a metering system on those? Is that check ball a meter of some sort so you don't get too much of a mix?
