I made a mini 6 x 6 album "I love you because" for my husband for our 25 wedding anniversary. I went through my photos and picked one photo from each of the 25 years that matched my sentimental. I did not embellish the photos. It was super simple and got my point across. For example.... "I love you because"....you are a great dad! The accompanying picture was him with our 3 kids. When I gave it to him, he literally got emotional. I was shocked and it still means so much to him. I ended it by saying I love you because you chose me. It was a picture of the day he asked me to marry him. This is such a great prompt for so many reasons. I stole the idea from your I love you mini book you did.
Love this!! I too am enjoying the Craft the Story series. It’s got me excited about memory keeping and is calming away those anxieties that I have from being behind in my process. I’m looking forward to have fun and watching more of the series. Thanks Ali!
Love taking my coffee with you Ali on Friday mornings :) Great project with the new 12x12 papers ! So fun to have a variety of products ! I also take pictures of my teens differently now and that is ok ! Your kids are so grown up :) Love the new plant ;)
Love it Ali, the heart tails look great. I think the link to the photos well. Also, love the openess you are creating these videos. It's not a must do video but how it can creatively flow for many different story tellers. I am not sure if I have explained it well. 🤔 You're doing a great job, thanks for your time.
Loving this series Ali. I’m learning SO much. When you were talking about “saying all the things” what do you do with all the stories a photo can remind you of especially when they don’t relate to that specific photo. For example it’s a photo of your child but you remember something similar from your own childhood (to which there is no photo). Thank you. 👍🏻🇳🇴
I totally think you can use a photo of your child to tell a story about a memory from your own childhood + write that it was that photo that sparked your story. Photos hold layers of stories - it's one of the most beautiful things about pictures. I also totally encourage layouts without photos that just tell a story. When I think of a story I might want to document in a scrapbook but I'm not actively working on that project I use Evernote to hold those stories (or pieces of those stories). Sometimes I go back to them and make scrapbook layouts and other times I don't.
At first I didn’t know you were going to cut out the hearts and I was looking at that page like “huh... interesting design choices Ali.” How could I have doubted? 😂
Hi! Right now they are all just together in a 12x12 paper holder - I honestly don't have a lot of papers overall (a few years ago I went through it and only kept the ones I thought I would use and really liked).

Great video! I'm really enjoying this series. I do have an observation/request though - when the music plays in all of these videos, it is SO much louder than the volume for the rest of the video. It startles everyone in the room with me when I'm watching, and I'm constantly adjusting the volume back and forth, or muting the music sections. Is there any way to adjust the music volume so it is similar to the voice volume, for a more consistent experience? Thanks for considering this!

Hi! The one that is close to the sewing machine is a fake plant that I got at Target a few years ago. I just got a larger real plant (behind me to the right) - I ordered that from Bloomscape.

I love this. I have been mainly doing PL for the last 4-5 years and this makes me want to try and tell stories like this.
You can totally tell stories like this and just add them into PL if you don't want a separate album.
@@AliEdwardsDesignInc Maybe I'll do that.

HA HA HA!
@@HJPeet He has a super cool t-shirt collection (mostly Star Wars but a few other things mixed in)
Thanks. Loved the process of building the layout. Curious how you store/organize your scrap papers?

I can totally try to work on that Carey! It is the music at the beginning or that comes up in the middle that seems to be significantly louder?
@@AliEdwardsDesignInc Both at the beginning and in the middle. Thanks Ali!
@@CareyBridges Thank you! I'll work on that - can you let me know if it sounds better next week?
@@AliEdwardsDesignInc absolutely I will!
But the real question is... where is your super cute sweater from!!???
LOL! I was thinking exactly the same thing! Link the sweater!!! 😍
