Having an ipad as my first tablet, I can say it was great. It was big (at that time) I had the ipad 6th gen 😅 and then my first android tablet is the tab S9 plus. And I am obsessed with it. It's very thin. Comes with a slim keyboard for free and plus, I don't need to buy a separate pen for it. This is a great device. Great job Samsung. ❤

How I feel with the 9.7" iPad from 2017 and the galaxy s2 I got the year before that lmao. Size of galaxy is much better and lighter, but preferred the graphics and durability of the iPad. However, I'm interested in trading the galaxy tablet in right now. I'll keep using iPad till it gives out.
I had a Tab A8 as my first android tablet for 2 weeks I was very excited about it i got it from my local pawn shop for $80 NIB and i started to get irritated with the lag so i was walking in my local pawnshop again lol and found a tab S8 256gb 390$ traded the A8 got a huge discount 240$ only thing I needed was a type C cable and it came with a 45w fast charger and im loving it so for only one day use but i do love your videos and the tab s9
I still have a tab a8 and i had to deal with the shitty performance for 4 YEARS because my parents never changed it because " Its good enough, it can do everything! Why do you wanna change it?".
I returned my tab s8 due to a defect and got the tab s9 instead and I don't regret it one bit. The reduced s pen latency is noticeably better and the AMOLED display is great especially while using the eye comfort shield at night.the extra year of software update is also great to have.Great video as always. Great video as always. I'm very tempted to upgrade due to the trade in value of the Tab S8. They are offering $500 for the Tab S8 so I could get the Tab S9, with the silm keyboad cover for $299 after trade in. The only problem is my Tab S8 is still running great and I just picked up the Book Cover. Decisions, decisions! Just checked Best Buy and the are offering $550 for the Tab S trade in but no Slim Keyboard cover. I could walk out th door, after tax with the Tab S9 for $299.00. Oh this is tough.
if you have an edu discount they do storage upgrade and free slim keyboard cover but one thing though this is probably a bad idea but it was weird like one time they actually gave me $140 credit (towards next purchase) because I didn't take the free buds promo along with the tablet so I am trying to do the same with this but not sure if it will work lol

The Tab S9 is better. If you're looking at the Tab S8, I would just save up money for the Tab S9. That screen is just much better and you'll get longer update support.
Depends. The LCD display is still 120Hz and is a lovely panel. Also it doesn't suffer from burn-in, there is no jelly scroll and the battery lasts longer. So there are pros and cons to both, arguably more pros to the LCD.
@@adamski101LCD typically consumes more battery than OLED. Also imo OLED is so much better and burn ins actually are not such a big deal anymore. You could say that the LCD is sharper since the Pentile Matrix is less sharp on OLED.
AMOLED displays only use less energy if the entire screen is black and thus the LEDs are powered off. Even using dark mode doesn't render them as efficient as a LCD display. Besides, the proof is in the pudding. My 11" Tab S7 with 2.5 year old battery gives me 1.5 to 2 hours more SOT than my brand new 11" Tab S9. Same settings, same usage pattern. The battery life is massively disappointing.
Bought the s9+ over no_tablet. It works great, the multitasking is amazing. The battery is average but I already start to hate the size, not to mention its weight, with the smart cover case...it makes it so much heavier.

I can't find any source that says that it has OLED and I really doubt it will have since it's the biggest cost factor even tho they will use an own exynos processor. If they make it 600€+ it is possible but most people would buy the FE then. Wouldn't be clever by Samsung.
I think both are solid deals. If you are willing to spend more, I think it's worth it. But still S8 is also good. Depend on what you are using it for. I personally like gen 2 chipset, and a larger display. It's more helpful for multitasking, dex mode. And on screen fingerprint is not necessary, but it's another advantage.. Thank you for the video
Just bought the S8 Ultra. $470 got me the 128gb model (refurbished, good), brand new S Pen (official Samsung one), Samsung's official fast charge brick, and what appears to be a generic cable. Loving it so far. Paid less than half of what a new S9 Ultra costs, and it came with a brick that a new one wouldn't.
Could you make a comparison video between the Tab S9 and Tab S6. Tab 7-8 were downgraded to lcd's so it'd be interesting to see two similarish specked (for their time) Oled tablets versus each other.
I just got samsung s9.. im really dissapointed with its battery watching movies.. it cant last 10h Which it should by today. A 10.000+ mah battery had been better.. 8.400 mah is just not big enough to satisfy me on long plane rides. However the screen look amazing and the 11" is perfect size for small spaces like inside a plane. Reaction time is great. Opening and closing tabs. The sound is amazing and go pretty loud watching movies. Just wish the battery had been bigger. But nothing i cant fix with a powerbank
Hi! I wanted to ask you if is it worth going for the S9 over the S8. It's my first tablet , i'm going for Samsung tablets since I'm a faithful Galaxy S line user . I wanted something mainly for note taking and basic usage ( Maybe some movies or gaming ) that could last the 5 Medschool years remaining. Since the economic factor is influent , the S8 sits at 550€ and the S9 at 700€ . Is it worth it to put 150€ more just for the new tablet? The keyboard cover should he free anyways. If isnt that great. I got the one for the tab s8 ultra for free and just like all the reviews says on the site it in does have connectivity issues. It isn't worth $200-300 until they fix that issue.
So the thing is I realized I think oled screen is good if you are watching movies but the problem with it is if you are studying on a something that is static like notes on paper then you might get motion sickness or headaches because of the pwm. It's like if you are on a boat you get motion sickness because my theory is something is constantly moving while it should be static like the floor for example so your mind can't handle it and then that's when the headaches start. you can see the pwm when you turn on the tablet and then wait a while when the screen is dim and then view it from a phone camera
I want to buy tab S9, I know amoled give more color accuracy and better battery performance, but when we talking about burn in because of organic substance in amoled will decay overtime make me consider tab S9 again. Its all a scheme. They already have the best quality tech. They just release it in phases to keep customers hooked. Like Apple. It's a marketing strategy. Don't waste your money if you already have a previous gen. The s8 ultra is perfect. In 2 years they'll release a new gen model.

There's a defect on my Tab S8 in which my s pen won't charge on the back of the tablet unless I press really hard on the screen but if I let go it just won't charge again. Samsung won't take it back and I really want the Tab S9 but just don't have the money. sighhh

If you're in samsung ecosystem and note suites, then yeah, it could be worth buying, but unless it's under 300$. Also you need to consider Wi-Fi only Version as it will get better silicon

I have an s8 and looked that the samsung store was selling the cover of the s9 at a very cheap price but didn't know if cutting a little the whole of the camera module will work to fit the cover in my s8 tab. Have someone tried this? Hahahha
s8 is superior, the screen has faster refresh rate, and it is adaptive refresh rate, tab s8 has better chip set which is more future proofing the LCD of the tab s8 has higher quality and do not have the weird sheen when you look at it in an angle. better stereo speaker (4 speaker on tab s8).
Would this be overkill if I was just using it for Piano apps? I was just looking for a tablet as a permanent place on my keyboard and don't really plan on using the cameras on the tablet. I already own a s24 ultra for a phone and use that to take all my pictures. Really was just looking for a tablet to watch streaming stuff and use for learning apps.
The Tab S9 11" has shorter battery life than the 11" S7 and S8. Sadly that's the price of an AMOLED display. I get approx 1.5hrs less SOT on my new S9 than my 2.5 year old Tab S7.
Just bought a 2nd hand samsung S8 for $520 aus. Pretty happy with the price considering its cheaper than the galaxy s9 fe and comes with case and screen protector

So, I noticed while looking online at all the features it says: ******Must have a WI-FI 6E router. NOT INCLUDED. I don't have one and may not have one anytime soon since none of my other devices are compatible with such an advanced WI-FI and the routers not inexpensive. So my question is will I still be able to access any WI-FI available at home, on campus, at Starbucks, etc that's below 6 or 6E for doing simple things (Netflix, emails, RUclips, Browsing, etc) until I can actually get a Wi-fi 6E router one day in the future. Hope my question makes sense.😊

It would pretty much come down to the larger size vs ip68, more powerful and efficient chip (maybe less important to you), an additional year of updates. Hope that helps.

@@TechGearTalk I am not talking about the chipset. I am talking about the CPU part only. 8 gen 1 is made by samsung for qualcomm. 8 gen 1+ and gen 2 are made by tsmc for qualcomm. People were tired of samsung choosers always overheating and now qualcomm no longer supplies the cpu's from samsung.
Here’s how i look at it. if you need something now, get it now. If you can wait, always wait. You’ll end up getting something better for the same price or the same thing for a lower price. Hope that helps.

The samsung website gave me $700 credit for my s8 last week. Always wait 1 or 2 months after release for better trade in credit. Love my s9 plus!

AMOLED shines when watching content in dim lighting conditions. LCD is fine during the day.

I was in same situation, I thought the size was good but as I traveled with it. It was way to big to carry around. S9 was and is a better fit

Don't get fe it has the problematic Exynos chip... choose functionality ( s9) above aesthetics ( s9 fe )

the thing is I think the s9's finally don't really have anything wrong with them because they may have fixed the chips issue and also even waterproofing is somewhat useful but it depends on a person's usage and s8 is pretty much fine for most people since they don't really do extensive games and I don't either

1. Low budget (as much as possible)

3. big screen( because I'll mostly do online classes and take notes)
4. Battery capacity and storage ( again because of long time classes and to keep all notes)

Now i can't relate to one of those tablets because i have a tab a8, but if i needed to pick on or buy one, i would personally pick the tab s9, but this is my opinion not urs so if u have a tab s8 its no problem its ur opinion.
There's a defect on my Tab S8 in which my s pen won't charge on the back of the tablet unless I press really hard on the screen but if I let go it just won't charge again. Samsung won't take it back and I really want the Tab S9 but just don't have the money. sighhh

One of the comments here says that S9 FE is rumored to be released later this year. So, I'm torn between making the purchase now or holding out for potential releases (even though I lowkey need it asap for my Chem + Anatomy + Bio classes), especially considering that I'm striving for the best value for my limited funds since I'm a financially strapped student relying on scholarships. Also, my goal is to invest in a tablet that will see me through med school, so I'm contemplating if S7 FE is still a viable option for purchase in late 2023.

If you're in samsung ecosystem and note suites, then yeah, it could be worth buying, but unless it's under 300$. Also you need to consider Wi-Fi only Version as it will get better silicon

I have an s8 and looked that the samsung store was selling the cover of the s9 at a very cheap price but didn't know if cutting a little the whole of the camera module will work to fit the cover in my s8 tab. Have someone tried this? Hahahha

s8 is superior, the screen has faster refresh rate, and it is adaptive refresh rate, tab s8 has better chip set which is more future proofing the LCD of the tab s8 has higher quality and do not have the weird sheen when you look at it in an angle. better stereo speaker (4 speaker on tab s8).

Would this be overkill if I was just using it for Piano apps? I was just looking for a tablet as a permanent place on my keyboard and don't really plan on using the cameras on the tablet. The Tab S9 11" has shorter battery life than the 11" S7 and S8. Sadly that's the price of an AMOLED display.
I get approx 1.5hrs less SOT on my new S9 than my 2.5 year old Tab S7.

I don't have one and may not have one anytime soon since none of my other devices are compatible with such an advanced WI-FI and the routers not inexpensive.
So my question is will I still be able to access any WI-FI available at home, on campus, at Starbucks, etc that's below 6 or 6E for doing simple things (Netflix, emails, RUclips, Browsing, etc) until I can actually get a Wi-fi 6E router one day in the future.

I think that probably meant if you want wifi6 speeds you will need a wifi6 router. You should be fine, don't worry.

Glad to have a device that's technological abilities are a little more advanced for me at this moment because a year or two from now I imagine my Galaxy S9 with still feel pretty brand new with all it's awesome features! Everyone who has an S9 seems to be absolutely crazy about it (especially the gamers 😉). I'm also glad to see more positive reviews now on the 11". I love this smaller size for me with it's portability. The Plus+ (and especially the Ultra) is too big for my needs.

It would pretty much come down to the larger size vs ip68, more powerful and efficient chip (maybe less important to you), an additional year of updates. Hope that helps.

Idk about the difference, but the s pen in s8 feels great and you'll never really feel the latency. I also wrote a lot of script using the s8.
