good recommendations. I went from the TabS8 Ultra to the TabS9 + and am super happy with the change. Everything is smoother, faster, clearer and I love the TabS9 + keyboard. Definitely don't miss that massive track pad. That was irritating and caused me a lot of input mishaps!
I came from the Tab S7 Plus that I had two years and then upgraded to the 9 Plus. The difference is huge! And Samsung gave me $500 on the 7 plus trade-in! 💥
I was gonna sell my S8 for the S9, but I've decided to keep the S8 instead. The upgrades are very nice and tempting , but the Amoled screen has PWM which I'm pretty sure caused my headaches and eye strain in the past. Also, there don't seem to be benefits in terms of battery life or processor speed (unless you really push it to notice). The Ip68 rating is super nice though!
@s.r5534 Nice. But apparently the battery life is basically the same. I've only seen 2 reviews that suggest the battery life might be 20% better thus far. In some cases, people have said its actually worse on the S9 (as reported on reddit). People think that just because a screen is amoled, with a more efficient processor, the battery life must be better. This is not always the case. The S8 11" actually had much better battery life than the S8 Plus and Ultra, even though they had much bigger batteries and amoled screens.
@s.r5534 Yep, all valid points. There is no doubt the S9 is a better tablet (even with reports of worse battery life}. But that still doesn't help those sensitive to pmw. LCD is always the best choice in that case.
@s.r5534 You just saw in this video that the S9 has slightly worse battery life than the S8. Besides, it's a well known fact that OLED displays consume MUCH more battery than LCD displays. That's the only reason Samsung put larger battery in the S9 compared to S8, just to try to match their battery life.

Samsung states on their site that the cable included DOES NOT support 45W charging, it is not a 5A cable and will not charge the tablet at more than 25W (I tested with the cable from the box and samsung's 5A cable and 45W charger)

This is a good comparison, one of the best I've seen online. But the upgrade from S8 line to S9 line is justifiable if you had the base model tab S8 due to the new S9 having an Amoled display, but for the S8+ & S8 ultra to S9 + & S9 ultra only if you have spare money to spend and are hungry for a slight power improvement. S9 line is good for first time buyers, movers from tab s7 range and below
@fortherun6520 definitely the base model tab S8 has the best battery performance in the tab S8 line and tab S9 line but I was on the topic of making a jump from tab S8 line to the tab S9 line. The only thing that will make a tab S8 user switch is if they want an oled panel display the rest isn't a big reason to make the jump
TBH I don't think that the upgrade is worth it. If you buy a new tablet definitely go for the S9 but if you already have the S8 like me no worries. Performance upgrade would make sense if there were enough software needing this power. Just the screen is much better on the S9 but S8s screen is good also

I think I like my s8. And I cannot justify trading in my S8 . Not even for the Ultra. The convienence of carrying my S8 with its keyboard tracker pad is briliient for me.
Great video. I did upgrade from the S8 to the S9. But the reason for me was the incredible trade in deals. At Best Buy, I traded in S8 with 8GB ram, 128GB storage for a S9 with 12GB ram, 256GB of storage for $297 out the door. ---Update, it was $276 out the door, they also refunded some of the taxes.
Tab S8 Ultra has the best screen ever but only if I don't carry it around for school. After a year of owning the ultra, I have no complaints whatsoever. The screen is awesome, 16GB RAM is smoother than smooth, SD card for extra storage, battery lasts forever. The only reason I downgraded to the regular S9 is because I need something light and portable for school. I definitely will miss those days I watch Netflix on my S8 Ultra. Best experience!

S7+ has an overclocked CPU. I have an S8+, which has a much more balanced CPU, and there's absolutely no overheating. The S9+ has an even cooler and more battery efficient CPU.
Can the S8 or S9 tablet tether a network connection over a usb c cable from a Samsung phone instead of hot spot wifi or cellular LTE? I am trying to use my S7+ tablet without wifi and LTE is not an option on my S7+.
To my ears, the S8 - S9 was a bigger leap in audio quality than the S8U to S9U. iPad Pro sounded less tinny, but I would need to hear it in person to say for certain.

Odd, I'm noticing a few hours better battery life with the S9+ than the S8. Even better if I leave set to power save mode, since still faster than with it off on the S8+. This is general use and gaming. Mainly emulation, movies and RUclips.

Me using my old tab a7 along with s8plus 5g and even old tab a7 662 and 3gb ram have more than enough power for 80 % pepole it can play light to modrate games run microsoft social media youtubr streaming apps i showed it and s8 plus to my mom fir screen diff and she said no diff could nof even recognize that s8 plus is 120hz amoled 2.5 k screen as compared to fullhd plus tft lcd on a7 nither 60hz only diff she noticed that s8 plus speakers are louder but she is happy with tab a7 quad setup as well this shows only 1% pepole like us may notice these changes😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Have you tried zoom/skype with the tablet s9? Both freeze upon screenshare - not good for teachers at all :(
