You may have missed it, but the per capita leaders were presented on the right side of the presentation. Almost exclusively underdeveloped countries where fuels aren't used efficiently.
No it's not fair actually.. Some countries have massive minding industries that provide metals to the entire planet.. Their industry moves massive amounts of earth to access those ores and thus they produce more emissions per capita then countries that have no mining industry.. But the developed nations with no mining industry import all their minerals and metals.. Thus they are just as responsible as the ore mining nations in producing the CO2 ... But that does not show up in the statistics..
With the roll out of renewables and efficiency measures, pay attention to the UK, starting with 'The Climate Change Act 2008', and how fast its emissions dropped. Economic progress can be decoupled from carbon emissions, and with a fully green economy the potential economic benefits (let alone environmental and social) are mind blowing. The future winners and leaders are green.

Honestly, more efficient in China cos it supports 1.4 billion lives compared to USA only 0.3 billion by contribute 1/2 of China does.
Kinda nice when you recognize various events based on the development, such as periods of economic depression from how the emissions abruptly dip.
