Today we install the NEW ATOTO S8 Premium double din head unit into my 1999 Honda Civic EK Coupe. The install went pretty smooth and wow was I blown away by the features (Full List Below). S8 Premium Feature List:
Operation system: All S8 G2 series use Android 10.0 system
All of ATOTO S8 G2 are 2s quick reboot.
Wired & Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wired Android Auto: All S8 G2 series support both Wired & Wireless Carplay and Wired Android Auto, which allows you to make phone calls, access your music, get directions, etc.
Phone Mirroring/Casting: EasyConnect app preinstalled.
Dual Bluetooth: (BT1 5.0 & BT2 4.1) chips inside allow S8 to enable multi-connections with phone and other BT devices simultaneously. BT2 supports connecting to a phone Bluetooth for accessing the internet (Bluetooth Tethering).
Built-in GPS module: Pre-installed map engine app: Google Maps(free), users need to download map data of certain area from the app setting for offline navigation. Waze/HERE Wego/TomTom is also supported. According to your location, there will be different map app options for use.
Touch Gestures: S8 enables six touch gestures that support two-figure / three-figure tap on the screen to enter multi-task menu quickly, switch between preset 9 EQ modes, adjust the screen brightness, etc.

I had my ATOTO A6 back in 2017 for my '03 Ford Escape and since google play apps are now upgraded and updated my A6 can't keep up. This maybe a good replacement and ATOTO is much cheaper than Pumkin. Having a full blown google map on my Escape really is a nice feature and all android capabilities specially bluetooth OBDII dongles for Torque app is cool to have.

Dopeeee. Just got a double din fascia and all the wiring etc in Aus where they’re a lot harder to find. Bought the Atoto S8 coz of this vid too I know Jack about these head units lol
P.S can you change the background of the head unit? I reckon it would be dope to make it a little honda logo and make it look fully original type ish

Can you install the hacked (no ads) versions of Spotify & RUclips on Atoto devices? I'm assuming since it's Android, you should be able to, just like on an Android phone.
What bezel did you use for the civic. I used the metra for the civic but is too small.

I have a 2020 Nissan Rogue and bought the Atoto S8 MS 9" . Nobody seems to make the harnesses that would attach to the OEM harnesses. So for now, I have a paperweight that I cant use. Any suggestions on alternative installation methods?

Did you have to hook up the ignition wire? The harness I picked up doesn't include it.I don't know if it's necessary, but I can tell you the unit doesn't turn on at all.
I powered off the cigarette lighter ( accessory wire ) so when you start up your car the head unit powers on. Also when you shut off the car power to the cigarette lighter is turned off.
RUclips only works on Wi-Fi?
Can you compare atoto F8 and F7 ? would be really interesting ... i am torn between them for my Civic MB9 :P
Unfortunately the S8 is my only experience with ATOTO products. Possibly in the future!

Slight engine noise ( Jeep Liberty ) so I could put a noise filter on it
youre so lucky this is easy i have a mini R60 2014 and had to dremel a single din hole where the shouldnt belong cd player ( in 2014 model car -( fuck u BMW) used to be and my wiring adapter cost $100 just so i could have reverse sensor working again - anyone that has a mini with boost cd you have to splice the 12v ignition cable from the cigerette socket below the cd player and run it up into the headunit area or your atoto wont turn on
I can't believe you wired that in the car. You realize it's all plug and play so you can bench wire it.
