Looks mo better definitely ! Love the cat , so funny you and Mopar Joe and Duddie adventure all exploit the meows ! My best friend past on ( Boston terrier ) few years back now we have a cat ! She can be fun and practical , keep mice in check ! Great quick video 👍👍👍
I got a free light bar from the fire department the other day but the problem is it's red. I'm going to try this with green over the red to hopefully end up with yellow. Glad I found this video.
The clear lens takes a orange bulb and the orange lens takes a clear or white bulb. They make 2 different lenses and they take 2 different color bulbs.
They use and still do use amber colored bulbs so it could come clear from factory like the lower park\signals on the front valence of 3rd gen Chargers...some states only allow a colored signal and a few let the clear go... But it's better for visability to be Amber or red for signals in my book!!! They also have candy red and orange sprays too....you know from the model car kit world!! And you did a great job man.
I don't know about the visibility thing. On my 1963 Savoy, at night the clear bulb and lens is really bright. The amber bulb would dull down the brightness.
@@mexicanspec but not in the daytime clear lenses are hard to see in bright sunshine... Got stay alert with the new cars in front of you.... Since I don't want to wrinkle my classic iron... Lol 😆
@@moparnut6286 Even in the sun you can see the turn signal flashing. I have seen the turn signal lenses in amber for the '63 Savoy and they don't look right. They never came on the car from the factory that way so I don't want them on my car.
man I want a green one for my 89 Dakota just the front marker lamp or parking lamp that what they call em and green are legal green are legal cause the parking lamp on my 89 Dakota got them old bulb wrap I got from a friend and I rip one of them and it dimmer then the other one if you look on my old Facebook page that I have them on at night you can see the different but I like it green it match the color of the paint I did on my truck.
Good effect, it looks so close to the original. Just wondering. What color are the bulbs? Sometimes you can find amber colored bulbs. That might help. The only other thing that I could think of is Photographic Gels. They are plastic sheets that are heat resistant and are put over Photographic lights, both continuous hot lights and strobes, to throw color. They come in just about every color of the rainbow. They could be cut to size and placed inside the light lens. But I think you have this challenge beat.

@@HoosierGarage I went ahead and shared the video. Hope I can pick you up some subs. They don’t know what they’re missing!
@@JustMoparJoe I got it in this time so maybe we can get you some of my wonderers. lol
That's a super nice looking grille!
Lookin’ good! I might have to try that.
i know this is old but you can uv clearcoat after.
Looks great! I'm sure I will be using that sometime in the future! Thanks for letting us know about this Krylon!
Maybe you should spray the left lens to make it look a little more opaque to match the right lens.

Great tip!!!!
If you clear coat the lens let us know if it makes a difference.
Good to see the quality control inspector on the job.
you think i can use that on light bulb for my porch light?
You might. Gets konda hot but would be a good test. Maybe put a jar over it painted with it.
Yeah definitely clear coat it alot of people say they have used that stuff but over time it has started to fade the color
Great tip. Did you use the adhesion promoter inside the lens too?
Interested in the red for faded tail light lenses.
Thanks

Yes I sprayed the inside with promoter too.. the red they have looks a little more Rose color but might have some depth.
👍😁

@@mikesr3407 I think he meant on the rear and I was talking about the front.

I had an amber bulb in there but the lens being clear was all wrong. Thanks for watching!
@@HoosierGarage Did it look any better with the amber bulb in once you coated the lens amber?
@@hardrock1826 I only had the clear one in by the time I sprayed the lens.
how does it holding right now?
Not bad, its not as bold as the original amber but if you had a pair like this its good
