Meg they didn’t add the abusive element. Harley and Joker’s relationship has been portrayed as abusive since her introduction. Everything you’ve played and watched with her in it up to this point has had the abusive element.
I was just coming hear to write this. Yeah, even the standalone Harley stories are based on her escaping his abuse to be her own person. Pretty much Joker in some capacity has always been an abusive presence.
I can’t lie, Joker making an entrance with “I’m here bitches!” has to be one of my favorite moments from any Suicide Squad content.
Mine has to be Amanda yelling “NOBODY SCREWS THE WALL!”, like that seriously needs to be her catchphrase going forward.
I think it’s funny how she kept saying she hates this joker, but it’s the same one she loved from the Arkham series 💀.
Also the reason Harley didn’t have a redemption is because she’s still with him in Arkham City
Yeah, that and the fact she is also a maniac... Her character is what it is because of that"
Also the fact that this version of Harley is FAR worse than any other version. The Seagate Amusement Park story is pretty telling.
@@dikastederook6380And the tie in Arkham comics where Joker and her....well, all I'll say is the school bus with kindergarteners.
@@rarescevei8268 Yeah. Though I don't think she was behind this. I think this was Joker's deed since he wanted to deal with Robin himself.
Although Viola Davis is a marvelous actress, a small part of me wishes that CCH Pounder had played Amanda Waller in live-action as well.
IKR? Also, while everyone loves to debate superhero mashups between Marvel and DC, the one I want to see the MOST is Amanda Waller/Nick Fury! Interesting takes on how they each go about the same basic job, and it would be fascinating to see how they each see each others' approach to it...
The cool thing is that this film is set in the Arkhamverse (spceifically between Origins and Asylum), which is why Harley goes back to Joker, she remains loyal to him throughout the franchise. It's cool for those of us who played Asylum because there are plenty of areas in the film that you can recognise as coming from the game, there's also a reference to Origins, when Joker recognised Deadshot as someone who had worked with him before, because Floyd was one of the assassins who was hired by Joker to kill Batman in that game.
The thing with Harley is that while she is smart. She has also been extensively brainwashed and abused to the point that the Joker has complete control over her.
And while she tries to get away from him over and over. She can't. For the longest time this has been the reality of her character.
Things have changed but for most of her history this was the case.
Even in the animated series but i wouldn't want to spoil that for you.
This is false. Harley and Joker are rarely together in the comics, and this started from her introduction in 99. This is an animated series take. Comic Harley is more entwined with Poison Ivy or the Suicide Squad. Currently, even Harley is on the 'it's just better to kill the Joker' train.
@@darksaint0124 Well that's weird because they were together in many of the comics that I've read, along with the animated series, the new batman adventures, the batman, injustice, suicide squad, the arkham games, assault on arkham, hush, batman beyond, and SO. MANY. OTHERS.
For almost Harley's entire history she has been with the Joker.
Even if they aren't physically together or in a relationship his presence and effect on her is still clear as day.
Like I said things are changing but that doesn't change her history.
@@James-nr2hi You know most of what you have listed is animated stuff, right? I actually do read comics. Moreover comics with Harley Quinn on the title and you're full of shit. Wait, are you up voting your own comments?
@@darksaint0124 that's modern Harley.
@@Erebus008 If you are counting the last 2 dozen years. For my evidence I present every Harley Quinn solo comic since she became part of DC continuity. Please provide some proof that isn't animated series or elseworlds comic. Do you guys not find it weird that every example you have isn't from comics, but from video games and television shows?
Captain Boomerang is George "Digger" Harkness, a violent thug from Australia who uses a variety of high-tech boomerangs to commit crimes and fight the Flash.
Killer Frost is a legacy super-villain name with ice powers, usually an enemy to Firestorm. The name was originally used by Crystal Frost, a Hudson University student who hated men.
King Shark is a super-villain and humanoid shark. His father is Chondrakha the God of all Sharks, and his mother is a human woman. For years he acted as a serial killer in Hawaii before his presence was discovered by Superboy.
Black Spider is an infamous assassin and enemy of Batman. The name is a legacy alias that has been used by several different individuals over the years. It has been associated with the Injustice League, the Suicide Squad, and the Secret Society of Super-Villains.
The KGBeast is Anatoli Knyazev, an ex-KGB assassin turned super-villain who becomes an enemy to Batman. Using his training as Russia's top killer, he is a formidable opponent rivaling even Batman's abilities. This includes cybernetic enhancements, such as a gun replacing his self-amputated left arm. His student and successor is the NKVDemon.
I didn't know frost was a firestorm villain. I always just thought she was a random dc character they like to use. I never saw her in any media that implied that.
@@fireeaglefitnessmartialart935 Funny enough, all off these are pulled from the fan wiki of Dc. I'm not that big of a Dc fan to know who KGBeast is :D
Killer Frost was renewed in later comics as Caitlyn Snow - a scientist who had some tragic accident that gave her ice powers, but had to "steal" heat from living creatures to feel warmth- essentially her desire for warmth became an addiction that caused her to kill people, though she made several attempts to overcome it, even joining the Justice Society of America on Batman's recommendation. Though I think that's a different continuity, I like it because it makes her a rather sympathetic character and pretty good representation for people who struggle with addiction.
This cartoon is a Arkham Asylum prequel
It’s confirmed to be uncanon, due to King Shark’s death, which is obviously false due to him being alive and well in the new game coming out next year.
@@swoj7180 The new game you're talking about, this universe has nothing to do with Arkham. The change of the Deadshot skin already speaks about this
The upcoming Suicide Squad game by Rocksteady is indeed set in the Arkhamverse. Rocksteady has already confirmed that the Deadshot from that game is the OG one, while the one from City and Origins is an impostor.
@@swoj7180 it was canon at time of release, but its now non-canon.
@@b.u.l.1734i bet you if the game does poorly theyll say its not cannon 😭
Amanda Waller is one of DC's more terrible/realistic villain/anti -villains. She is on par with Lex Luthor or the Joker, but with government backing
Waller is...complicated. She's no hero, but I wouldn't call her a villain either...especially not where she could overhear...
@@TheKyrix82 'lol, fair
Killer frost, captain boomerang and king shark are flash villains
So what ? Firstly, this is the Arkham universe. Secondly they have already fought Batman
@@Mr_acorn_exeshe didn't know who they were
@@largebig79though they were wrong, I'm sure it's because they've watched The Flash tv show. Frost is usually Firestorm villain and King Shark has bounced between Aquaman and Superboy. CW TV made all 3 Flash villains, and it worked well because Firestorm was a recurring guest
It's hard to track Harley's arc in all the different continuities, but there's usually a period like this where she's separated from the Joker, but not entirely, mentally, and it's kind of an ongoing struggle for a while, kind of like relapses in an addiction. This movie takes place in the same continuity as the Arkham games. I guess they couldn't have her get one over on Mr. J in this because there was still stuff they wanted to cover in the games. She's kind of a tragic figure in this particular story.
BTW, I recommend the live-action movie "The Suicide Squad", not to be confused with "Suicide Squad", which I can't recommend. There's also another animated one called "Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay"; I don't remember it very clearly, but it's probably worth checking out. It's set in a different continuity than this one, from what little I remember (it may have been part of the "DCAMU", which was a series of interconnected movies).
She isnt a tragic figure. She wasnt really abused in this continuity, and was experimenting on people before she joined Joker.
Also, search up the lore behind Seagate amusement park.
@@rarescevei8268 An unhealthy, one-sided, delusional obsession can be described as tragic regardless of whether there is abuse happening (and we do know from one of the games that Harley imagined the Joker was talking about her when he was talking about Batman, which is where the delusion is). Furthermore, taking advantage of someone's delusional obsession to exploit their loyalty for personal gain could be described as a form of abuse, not that I specifically did. You might find that I did not in fact say abuse. You're the one who brought that up.
Harley were not always one of my favorites just because of her dependency on Joker and being so much like he's victim. But also that is how abusive relationships works. So this is a perfect animation even with that.
This was I think, before her arc of character development and overcoming the Joker 's influency.
Harley as a character had always been portrayed as a tragic character with no hope for redemption. This movie is the first time Harley was put on the Suicide Squad. This animated movie is also the reason they made a live action movie in the first place. It was the combination of Margot Robbie's portrayal of Harley and the Harley Quinn animated series that led to DC turning her into an antihero(basically DC's Deadpool) and giving her agency and development Beyond the Joker. Now she is for better or worse held up as the forth pillar of the DC Universe ( Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are the first three pillars)
She was starting to break free from Joker in the comics before any of this. I'm glad she did, though. Harley and Joker is a fantastic representation of an abusive relationship in media, but it has gotten really old and Harley is so incredibly limited in that role. At this point she's a lot more interesting and exciting without Joker.
I'm pretty sure the Batman animated series also had Harley break away from the Joker and attempt to reform - however left it ambiguous as to whether she would go back to him, in case they wanted them together in a later episode. I think Harley always being bound to the Joker in some way, that there is always the possibility that she might go back, not only makes her a more believable character, but also a more honest representation for domestic abuse and codependency... Breaking away from a toxic influence in your life is incredibly hard, and backsliding is a real possibility.
Having her completely break with the Joker would take away one of her defining characteristics - she doesn't need to BE with him, for her story to work, but she cannot ever fully let go of him either.
Her character was starting to change wayyyyy before this movie. Idk where you got this lie from.
@@hollyredmond8688 No it doesn't.
@@hollyredmond8688 Wow, a youtuber with 9 subscribers. What a reference! That said, they are right that getting out of abusive relationships is very difficult but it's by no means impossible. Harley getting away from Joker has never really been represented as an easy thing either and Harley struggled a lot to break free and had plenty of relapses. That is all very realistic. I've known plenty of people who have been in abusive relationships and most of them eventually got out.
One of the key tactics that an abusive partner will do is that they will isolate their victim from friends and family. Victims that are isolated very rarely get out and that is exactly why Poison Ivy is important to Harley. Ivy broke the isolation and that's typically where the recovery begins.
I love Deadshot, I just hate that that almost...every...single....story about him nowadays revolves around his daughter
Always felt so sad when King Shark died. I saw this when it first came out on DVD so I was very young. Also really loved the short friendship he had with Killer Frost.
Batman has trained in pretty much everything including ventriloquism and voice acting, so when he wears a disguise he can mimic and change his voice so he won’t be recognized, superman on the other hand can change his voice by vibrating his vocal cords at different speeds so when they switch costumes which they do in the comics often it makes sense no one can tell.
Killer frost is a firestorm villain. Her powers are summed up as heat vampire. Because of a kab accident she needs to absorb heat to stay alive
YESSSS! Ive been waiting for this day! Your introduction to Amanda Waller and the Suicide Squad or Task Force X as they’re known for. The movie is just a good watch and a good starting point to get to know the Squad as they’re the focus which is smart because we’re seeing Batman through the villains prospective as a antagonist. You now know why the Squad do what they do from all media of comics, films, and games. It’s because Amanda Waller uses them to do her dirty work to have a smaller sentence. Amanda Waller is one of the more important characters in the larger DC world. She’s someone you love to hate but very calculating, wants to protect the world, and one of the few people that can stand up to Batman which you saw in the ending scene. 😂
I like CCH Pounder as Amanda Waller. and Hynden Walch, who played Harley in this, plays Starfire in Teen Titans.
she didnt get a moment of revenge because the entire events of Asylum, City, etc happen after this. its THAT Harley. the devoted one , not the current characterization of her.
Hooray!!!! The Suicide Squad is almost my favourite Comic Book team, next to the teen titans. I’ve talked to death how much DC means to me and how much your reactions too. It’s like experiencing this thing that means so much to me for the first time. And I am eternally grateful for that Meg~ 😊
Meg, this film is actually NOT set in the DCAU. This film is actually set in the Batman Arkham games universe. It's actually a prequel to Arkham Asylum.
LOVED your reaction to Harley and Deadshot getting it on. And interestingly enough, those two actually DID have a fling with each other in the comics.
I disagree with you somewhat on Harley. I think what makes her such a great character is her tragic flaw that she always goes back to the Joker no matter what in the end. Recent media have broken them up and tried to make her good and I hate it. She is a very damaged person. And her whole clown persona is because of the Joker. I understand you haven’t watched Mad Love yet, but that is her origin. If you take away her love of the Joker, there is no reason she should have a clown motif at all. The shipping and retcon of her orientation to appease the shippers and turn to being a so-called good guy has ruined the character in recent years. We should be allowed to have female villains and female characters who are allowed to be sick and evil as a male character can be. Theresa Campagna or Jester Bell on YT is a gigantic Harley fan and has made videos saying similar.
13:14 In what world is the Joker NOT abusive to Harley? That’s their whole schtick
Leaving joker and going back to him was a big part of Harleys character for years, now in comics she's solo, hell she even saved batman and tried talking hom into killing joker finally
Rick Flag is usually the leader of missions in some capacity.
Not sure if you knew but this movie is not part of the DCAU but actually the Batman Arkham series! It supposedly takes place after Arkham Origins and before Arkham Asylum.
Ah, people reacting to DC when Harley was a sidekick before she was pushed as some kind of franchise carrier. Good times.
(And without the shipping bait. Blech.)
This actually takes place in the Arkham universe. Sometime before Arkham Asylum apparently. Its why Harley didn't get her revenge and fully separate from Joker. You might have already seen it, but I would recommend the harley quinn animated show. Its very comedic but it really goes into just how awful and abusive their dynamic is and treats it in a pretty grounded way. Also it has more poison ivy
Amanda waller voiced by the great actress Cch Pounder who was in the first 3 seasons of ER and 7 seasons of ncis new Orleans
Harley was always portrayed like this more or less..she didn’t start standing up for herself in more recent years
I can’t believe they managed to get Matthew Gray Gubler and freaking Giancarlo Esposito to voice The Riddler and Black Spider respectively
That Joker vs. Deadshot fight at the end was fantastic. I love when writers remember how deadly The Joker can be in combat.
Also, I don't think that Joker and Harley should ever be equals. She was never supposed to be anything more than a sidekick and I think it's ridiculous that DC has tried to make her into some kind of badass on par with (or even superior to) The Joker and Batman's other much better villains.
I’m shaking in my boots, excited to see your reaction to Dark Knight Returns!
Here’s a few SS recommendations. From my POV
• Suicide Squad Vol 1. Trial by Fire
• DeadShot: Bullet Proof
• New Suicide Squad Vol 2. Monsters
• Suicide Squad: Bad Blood
every time I watch Assault on Arkham, whenever I see the intro, I listen to the All Star song because I pick that song as an appropriate theme for the suicide squad
Congratulations on beginning your DCAU journey! Also did you notice that the design of asylum and Batman's rogue gallery is based on Arkham Asylum game?
what do you mean "ADD" an abusive element? Joker is SUPER abusive towards harley!
people who think joker and harley are a cute couple are a huge red flag to me
Exactly people don't realize there relationship is fake
@@JesG.Fake isn't the word I'd use. But like everything with the Joker, it's really fucking twisted
I recommend Justice League the flashpoint paradox! If you want.
I would recommend that only if she plans on starting the DCAMU
18:17 according to the wiki the suicide squad has had four leaders: Amanda Waller, Rick Flag Sr, Deadshot and Captain Boomerang
Secret Six: Villains United is a good story for Deadshot! It fleshes out the members and, despite being villains, makes you really care for them. It's like if a Suicide Squad story had a little more heart.
Must read for Deadshot is John Ostrander's Suicide Squad run issues #1-#66 (1987-1992) and the concurrent Deadshot (four issue)mini series. It redefined Deadshot as a psychologicaly damaged-almost suicidal anti hero (he was originally created in 1950 and dressed as wild west gentleman gunslinger) It was simply beautiful (not kidding). in 2004 A writer for "Law & Order: SVU" Cristos Gauge did a great four issue Deadshot series which introduced his daughter Zoe, it was great, but every version of Dreadshot since...the animated films, the Arrowverse, the Will Smith version, revolve around him being a "hitman with a kid" aspect
A year later Gail Simone created the "Secret Six" in a series called "Villians United", later the Six got a 6 issue mini, before getting a regular series that lasted up until the birth of the "new 52' in 2011. This version sidestepped the father aspect of Deadshot in favor for a "bro-mance" with fellow member Catman
in 2011 they created a "New 52" version of Suicide Squad which was (IMHO) a watered down version of Deadshot, however this introduced the first "bleached skin" Harley Quin and her relationship with Deadshot. Deadshot was last seen earlier this year as an undead zombie in a comic called "Task Force Z" (don't ask)
Oh! And if you like the Telltale videogame. Batman: Sins of the Fathers" is a four issue series in the Telltale universe focused on Deadshot
I enjoy this movie.
The suicide squad movies totally have people dying brutally.
I think harleys arc here definitely shows that she has the potential as a solo character, but that abusive relationship keeps pulling her back.
I love the late 1980s to early 1990s Suicide Squad written by John Ostrander. There are cool missions & the characters development is great
I love that Batman is treated like an apex predator that the squad has to hide from in this
I remember watching this movie as it seem surprise me that this movie is connected to Arkham Games and bring me to wonder if this movie was influenced for the Suicide Squad Kills the Justice League game that is part of Arkham Games storyline. 😬 So glad to see you react to this movie and can’t wait to see more animated Batman films in your channel.
You say, "you know it's very heartwarming to see these villains coming together" a couple of minutes before the scene where Harley meets the Joker in prison lol.
Because they did market this movie at the time as a prequel to the Arkham video games they did have to keep Harley with Joker by the end but I absolutely adore this movie and everyone in it, shame we couldn’t see Characters like King Shark and Killer Frost in the games so I suppose they did have to die, this along with Suicide Squad Hell to Pay are peak Suicide Squad content however that one is connected to the DCAMU so I’m sure you’ll get to it eventually :)
This movie came out 2 years before Harley Quinn finally realized she was being abused. In 2016 she finally Dumped the Joker, and started healing / getting over the Joker.
This probably only was aloud to happen in response to the popularity of the Harley Quinn of the Injustice Video Game Universe.
It happened in the new 52. Maybe earlier. No later than 2011.
Mister Freeze and Killer Frost rarely encountered each other...Freeze kidnapped Frost in an episode of "Justice League Action" They are sometimes shown as a team called the "Ice Pack" mostly for laughs, but the the Ice Pack was in season one of Young Justice, and briefly seen in Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (other members depending on universe are Captain Cold, Icicle, Icicle Jr., Blue Snowman, and Minister Blizzard)
Joker has always been physically abusive towards Harley. Even in Batman: the animated series
Batman assault on Arkham is an animated movie that took place in batman Arkham games between the end of batman Arkham asylum and before the beginning of Batman Arkham City.
"She is ruthless" No one fucks with 'The Wall'
Killer Frost: It's Batman!

If you want to survive a Suicide Squad story it is best that you be Harley, Deadshot, or Captain Boomerang. On most modern teams of the Suicide Squad these 3 are the mainstays. Even in this movie they are the 3 veterans while everyone else is new.
-Arkham Origins (Joker hires Deadshot to kill BATAMN, Joker meets Harley, Amanda forms the Squad)
-Assault on Arkham (the movie you just watched)
-Arkham Asylum (Joker and Harley are back together)
-Arkham City (Joker dies, Deadshot’s back, Harley is deadlier)
-Arkham Knight (Harley is a crime boss, forms a strong friendship with Poison Ivy [no relationship in this universe])
-Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (Amanda reforms the squad again with a different King Shark [a demigod this time around], another universe’s Deadshot, Harley and Captain Boomerang

fun fact: the suicide squad was actually created before the justice league, and there is only just 1 year gap in the two team's creation. And 1 year later the fantastic four made it's first appearance and another 2 years later the avengers made its first appearance. So in a span of 4 years writers created the suicide squad, justice league, fantastic four and the avengers. Writers were different back in the day.
My intro was Task Force X which still holds up as the best.
Task Force X is featured in an episode of Justice League Unlimited. I recommend watching that and the original Justice League cartoon sometime.
This is actually a tie in movie to the arkham games! Between origins and asylum. Pretty neat huh?

"I like Batman's sticky stuff" - *MegMage Reacts, 2023* XD ;P
From basically every comic that I've read, from the 80's comic series to New 52, Deadshot has always been a member in the Suicide Squad. And the animated movies like this one and Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, plus the one episode of Justice League Unlimited. The only time he wasn't there was in the 2nd live action Suicide Squad movie by James Gunn, but that's because Will Smith, who played Deadshot in the 1st live action movie, couldn't return because of schedule problem and the character was replaced by Bloodsport instead.
I think it's kinda nice that Batman has the names of all the guards at Arkham memorized.
And yeah, this movie takes place before Arkham Asylum. And since we see Harley is still with the Joker in the games, obviously she gets back with him after this movie. So no redemption arc to be had. This version of Harley is a huge Joker simp.
Also, it's the Suicide Squad for a reason. It might be kinda sad to see some of them die but at the same time, we did get introduced to King Shark in this movie in a murder motel full of dead bodies and see him eat a guard. Can't say he didn't have it coming.
This is what the live action movie should have been
Assault on Arkham is the only film chapter in the Arkhamverse game series
Idk I've never really seen Harley portrayed as intelligent. Yes she was a psychiatrist, but we never really see her as clever or having big schemes, and I don't think she was ever meant to be equal to the Joker in terms of capability. Batman always has trouble dealing with the Joker, but when it comes to Harley, he always seems to just knock her out and toss her back in Arkham without too much trouble. Not even trying to sound like a Harley hater. She's actually one of the more interesting Batman villians I think, but your view on who Harley is just doesn't align with the character in my opinion.
34:24 Her Stockholm syndrome is what makes Harley Harley. Like Two-Face and his DID, Catwoman and her cleptomania, and all of the other Batman villains who need major psychiatric help one way or another. Besides, even if the writers wanted Harley to forsake Joker, that would break the canon of events. This movie is a prequel to the game Arkham Asylum
Meg this movie is a part of the Arkham universe
If you haven't already, you've gotta watch Batman: SubZero
Troy Baker voicing The Penguin and Joker in one movie. Also like in Arkham Origins.
Amanda Waller is the Jigsaw of the DC Universe
Ever since Arkham City I've had a such a deep hatred for Harley Quinn her voice annoys me "Stupid little dead bat" is engraved in my memory I hear it in my nightmares

Harley and Joker arent equals, sorry for saying it
I thought maybe she was talking popularity but even then I’d disagree
Killer frost is more of a firestorm and sometimes flash/justice league villain. This movie doesn't really give you the full scope of her powers, as she's waaay more powerful than the other members in the film.
As for task force x, keep in mind everyone she picks is a mass murderer with sentences upwards of 300+ years. The reason why the government allows these missions is because no one would mind if these villains "fell down the stairs" if you get my drift. They live & finish the mission and they get a couple of decades off their sentences.
i can't wait for you to watch THE Suicide Squad (2021, not the 2016 one) Birds of Prey, and the Harley Quinn animated series. I just know its gonna be some of your favorite DC content
James Gunn live-action suicide squad movie is really good

Felt so bad for Shark. Wish him and Killer Frost had a future together.
10:38 That’s a Batman Returns/Catwoman reference
I hope you continue with all of the DC animated content. However, I personally really love Young Justice. It focuses on the Younger Heroes like Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash while still involving the rest of the DC world like the Justice League.
I really hope you end up watching the James Gunn Suicide Squad. It's so good and genuinely makes you feel for all these loser villains which makes any time one of them doesn't make it actually feel something.

Great reaction I knew that you might like it the fight scene was awesome 👌.
I know this sounds awful, but I VASTLY prefer Harley as a character when she's in an abusive relationship with Joker... Makes her character more tragic, relatable and in turn, much more interesting than the Deadpool rip-off she's become in recent years after the writers made her broke up with Joker in some of the comics and movies.
This is better than the live action movies they put out
Oh Amanda Waller, you'll be seeing more of her even in the DC animated universe if you continue down the Justice League route after Batman and Superman, she plays a big role with the League.
There's a second Suicide Squad animated movie that actually ties all the post Flashpoint animates movies together, moreso than the others surprisingly, but it's also a good watch with Deadshot as the lead once again. The movies; well the David Aver first Suicide Swuad was based in the Snyderverse, had Will Smith as Deadshot and Jared Leto hamming it up as the Joker. The James Gunn The Suicide Squad, sort of sequel, was probably the best DCEU movie not just a good Suicide Squad movie, so Definitely watch that one, though no Deadshot, but Idris Elba did a pretty good job as the team leader Blood Sport.
Sorry! I keep commenting as I watch your comments! I notice your also watching the DCAU shows. The Suicide Squad eventually appear in "Justice League Unlimited (Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Plastique, Clock King, Col.Flag) no head explosions, and they go by "Task Force X" as they wanted to avoid using the word "suicide" in a kids show
There is also the animated Film Suicide Squad; Hell to Pay, based on the first 6 issues of the "Secret SIx" (Deadshot {voiced by Christian Slater}, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, Copperhead, Killer Frost, Bronze Tiger)...it was the first DC animated movie to be rated R I believe, they didn't go crazy with it, but they did push things a little
