This is hands down the best, most inspiring channel on RUclips, although my wife might disagree when I start building my pole barn. My hats off to you, Pa Mac. Great work, please keep it up, I am excited to see what is to come. Thank you for sharing these videos with us!

I agree. My grandpa used this style barn. It is a great barn. I studied barn books and designs forever. I finally picked this old style. It is still the best, imo.

Now that's some fine entertainment!! Educational and funny, Does'nt hurt to give flashbacks of our real heritage, God and family! This reminded me of the responsibility we carry after our parents have left this amazing place.... to make them proud! THANK YOU

As a beekeeper, a woodworker and an amateur blacksmith, I find your show both educational and entertaining. I like that you've got bees on your property. I love the fact that you have your Pa Mac's anvil. Too many have ended up in the scrap yard. Keep up the hard work and best of luck.

That pole barn is a priceless treasure, it represents a part of early rural America and shows how many of us lived our lives not all that long ago. Watching that video brought back many fond memories of growing up on the old homestead. I'm hoping you make another video soon.

Yes Your grandpa would have been pleased .. I know I am .. thank you for your video series , made me laugh, and brought tears to my eyes thinking of my grandad and all the stuff we built together in his pole barn in WV, I now live in Tennessee .. and found out the the local power board gives away retired power poles .. I see a pole barn in my near future .. thanks to your videos .. thank you so much!

Awesome video. My 9 year old (the baby of 4) and I love doing wood working projects with the old tools of yesterday. She was telling me "daddy we have one of those, and a bracer and drill. Wonder if he has any jack or scrub planes". (We just bought and refurbished them is why she knows. It was turkey a pleasure and I enjoyed your shows to no end. This Texan tips his at to you dear sir and his daughter Aspen gives her most humble respect and admiration.

      rob elder Hey there, Rob,
Yes, I've sure got a plane or two. And they could probably use a good honing from a 9 year old Texan who evidently knows her tools. Tell Aspen "hello" for me, and thank yall for watchin'!

Pa Mac, thank you for making these videos. Takes me back to "the good ol' days", helping and "fetching" for Dad. Helping him build out buildings, sheds, chicken coops, pig pens, pole barns (simular to yours) and even a couple of houses. My Father only had a third grade education, but he was one of the smartest men I know.
Again, Thank You and keep the vids coming.

Just discovered your feed on my suggestion page and watched your pole barn series. I very much enjoyed it and your humor. The last one where you talked of your grandpa and the shop that you built brought a bit of a tear to my eye, remembering my Grandfather and what they accomplished with the tools they had. Thank you very much for sharing and hopefully I can do something like this for my own shop....

As a mountain boy, I love watching your videos on days when I can't get out to work on our land. You're making me want to march down to the county office and get a permit for building some sort of outbuilding right now! (yeah, silly permit grumble grumble...)
I can only build so many sawhorses and cut so much firewood before I need to get building a building, you know?
Keep up the good work, and I hope you're staying nice and warm this winter by your stove.

Thank you, Pa Mac, for making these wonderful videos. You know, RUclips is full of such utter nonsense, that it is both refreshing and inspiring to see someone take pride in not only the videos they produce (that'd be you, btw) but in the work the videos are capturing. I'm a father of 4 daughters, and my wife and I are working towards purchasing land in Idaho in the next few years so that we can start our own homestead. Your pole barn is the inspiration for what I plan to do once we're on property. The barn is the 1st project!
Once again, thank you for allowing to see into your world, and I'd love to see what else goes on in your homestead. The day to day life fascinates and inspires me. God bless, and see you down the road!

Pa Mac, I watched with tears in my eyes. The moments I spend watching this show are like time spent with you and your Pa Mac. I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said you play a large role in my life. Helping me recall the importance of self-sufficiency, motivation, perseverance, resourcefulness, knowledge, and a good grasp of history most every time I pick up a tool or reach a seemingly dead end. I thank you for compiling your experience into these videos for us. It's an absolute joy.

Absolutely fantastic video. I've been waiting for this one for awhile and you nailed it by including so many things.
Watching this video brought up so many memories of both my father (who was handy with everything) and my maternal grandfather (who had an old workshop filled with tools and snakes back in the 70's). Both have long since passed away but the lessons they instilled in me haven't.

Been waiting quite some time for this video. Really turned out nice, I'm sure you will get many years or enjoyment out of it. Lot of work putting that barn and the video together, thanks you.
