    😊 screw a piece of 2 x 4 as a handle to your Post so you can lift it a little bit to move it around to where do you want it? Make it long enough to extend out on both sides of the post to make it easier to grab hold of

    • @bradbrad8943
      @bradbrad8943 6 месяцев назад +2

      You just gave me an idea, a couple of 2x4s on each side long enough for the pallet forks to catch. Then you can lift the posts straight up and vertically drop them in without messing up the dirt in the hole. 💡

  • @jarmstrong2843

    You two fellows are tough hombres to be doing that type of work; particularly Wiley since he is no spring chicken. I got tuckered out just watching you.
    That Fast 2k stuff is a life saver. If you had used concrete, you’d still be mixing the stuff and using a lot of Bengay cream on sore muscles.

    If you would have set all 4 corners first then you could take your 100 ft tape measure and hook a corner pole and pull to other corner then made you a mark at 12 24 36 and marked center of your poles and would have been a lot easier to set the center poles

    A pair of long bar clamps would have helped You guys out immensely.
    Clamp one either side of the Post above the Center of Gravity as close as square as You can get between the Clamps.
    Slide the Forks in closer, hang the post on the Forks and the post will be mostly plumb in the Hole
    A lot less beating and shoving it around.

    I'm 26 minutes in here, and you're setting your second post.. and the distance on center is your issue here, and you've reset it now.. I realize y'all are done now, and I'm sure it's right, but If I may, when I set posts... I use more than one 100' (sometimes a 300' if need be) tape reels.. I'll screw the end to dead center of my first post, at the ground, run it out the length under my string and I'll know exactly where the center of my holes need to be. I use a can of spray paint to mark all my hole centers, then I reset my tape after I dig all my holes and run my posts one after another, I don't go corner to corner, and I have never had a building out of square. Never had to pull a post out of the ground either. I love watching you two work, y'all are a blast together!!
