Preparations for Making Old-fashioned Wood Shingles - The FHC Show, ep 18

In preparation for making wood shingles (otherwise known as wood shakes) for roofing material to go on his new log chicken house, Pa Mac demonstrates how to make many of the tools needed and how to obtain the raw materials to perform this simple, old time, self-sufficient, and sustainable skill. This is episode #18 of The Farm Hand's Companion Show. (Later episodes will cover in greater detail the shake/shingle making process, as well as installation methods for wood shakes/shingles.)
