I love your videos. You are a fantastic teacher and story teller. I have enjoyed every video you have put out. May the Good Lord keep you safe so you can keep teaching us.
Love the videos. I hope to get my own piece of land and do the same thing myself someday. Good to see videos showing how to do things the simple way, not using the newest power tools. Keep up the good work, and hope to see more videos soon
The pole barn may not be ‘ornamental’, but it is functional and rustic - “as good as” on a rural property. We need to build a barn shortly, so this instructional series is exactly what I needed 😎.
I have loved all these videos, but I'm glad to see the last clip here of you bending a nail. Glad to know there is still hope for the rest of us. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!
i just sat down and watched all your videos. cant wait for episode 12. just built a pretty sizable shed from scratch. would love to one day build a barn as a workshop as well as tool storage. i can appreciate the work you did. im about 3 years in on doing a total restoration on my 1850s farm house. keep up the good work. the sense of fulfillment in the work you do must be very rewarding.
I love all of your video's Pa Mac. I cant hardly wait to see what is next. You are a true inspiration to those of us that want to build as much as possible off of our own land. Thanks for keeping us updated.
I built a shed this year by using salvaged material from two older buildings. One from the original farm where I live now and one that I helped my dad build on the farm I grew up on many years ago...sorta sentimental stuff. I ship lapped all of my wall boards with a half inch dado...that was a JOB!, but I didn't have to cover any joints. I have enjoyed watching you build yours.
I am at work, so I have not watched this yet, but I am so glad you are still producing these videos! This is one of the most interesting channels on you tube. Thanks for all your hard work!
Not only are those walls ornamental, they are beautiful! I live in central Arkansas and all I can say is WOW. That pole barn is a thing of beauty. It is much nicer than most of them around here. (Hot Springs area) Nice job!
I watch these videos in rainy old Scotland and just wish I had a great big garden to try out all your great projects. Built a shed from pallets as a new workshop but made it too good and my 20 yr old son moved as a study room for university. Next ones gonna be a bit draughty. Thanks Pa Mac, love your channel
Oh yes! A new video on the pole barn! It has been over half a year since your last one, it's nice to see how precise and careful you are. I hope you can make another one as a Christmas gift. Thank you for making this video!
Eric Pappert Well I'm in good company, then. Me, you and Wranglestar might really wreak some big time havoc on your homestead! Take care and thanks for watchin', Eric.
Another awesome video. I absolutely loved watching you build this thing. It looks like you're almost finished. I hope you'll have a new project when this one's done.
Wow you are a highly skilled carpenter, with being limited by mostly resources you have around you, yet you can make this. Awesome video love watching your work please make more videos!!
Nice video! Best news on my day was to see that Pa Mac keeps building its Pole Barn! Please, keep posting! What about a Christmas video showing the overall progress of the farm? Greetings from Brazil :)
Just found your channel, and I must say its brilliant and very funny! Youve cheered me up no end, best wishes from sunny (but still cold) Scotland!! ,,,, oh the bit that tickled me most was the bent nail at the end, ive had lots of them where you know its not gonna go in, but you keep hitting it nonetheless!
I have to say that every time I see a new video posted I feel like a kid on Christmas morning! I love what you are doing on your farm. A true inspiration for up and coming Homesteaders! Keep up the great work!
Your videos are entertaining. One thing I like about them is that they tell of real values and yet you don't becoming too self-absorbed and preachy like some I've watched. Keep up the great work, and THANK YOU! =o)
FHC is always a pleasure to watch in my opinion. maybe you can cut a door with your circular saw. be careful with that though, the saw can suddenly slip away. take care.
Use ta build for profit would rather have done it your way. So much more satisfying and natural looking. God for the soul. God bless you and your videos!
Dude you rock! I just moved out onto a little slice of heaven and have been building all kindsa good things with an alaskan chainsaw mill. I have learned so much about how to improve my property from your videos. I am about to do the same exact design for hay storage and wood work! Keep it up Pa Mac! Lookin for more tips!
Amazing.....videos are really well done...wish I found this years ago. You make it seem so easy. I like how you use your own wood and mill it to what you need. You do it all!!
I love your videos very funny and very informative. It goes to show that it is not that hard to build a pole barn. Plus you can use any materials available to build one. Thanks
john watkins Thanks so much, john. And your two observations are spot on for just about any aspect of farmin': "It goes to show that it is not that hard to _______" and "...you can use any materials available to _______".
The ending with the bent nail-bent website was funny and clever! lol Enjoy your videos and love the pioneer barn. Looking forward to the next video! Hope it's soon :)
best video on RUclips! Thanks for showing us how it's done. I've been looking at a property with a large post and beam barn built over an old animal barn. Love how it looks but it's slanting pretty good from the winds! Wondering if I should salvage the old barn or tear it down and build a new barn with what wood is still usable off the old barn (repair wood). Concrete is all cracked and shifted up in places. Not sure the expense is worth saving the barn. House in better shape...but not by much. YIKES!
This barn is very beautiful and has his own character. Nice work, nice videos and on all a very intelligent humor. Proper done. Greets from germany ;-)
On of the best Videos that I've seen . It was so good that I thought it ended too quickly. I subed you so that I will not miss any of your videos. I had to repair my shed/cabin recently . I look forward to watching more of your videos .You make it look so easy. With best wishes .Patrick
I love your videos! I have always wanted to own a nice chunk of land and build with my own trees and other natural resources as you do. Your videos are pretty funny also. Keep up the good work!
I think the ornamental facade of your barn is excellent. You built it, so its a proud day. Good work sir. I hope I can do as good a job. p.s. I still want to hear you narrate the video, hint hint. lol
The stone floor turned out really well, I don't know if you ever really showed it finished before. Walls look great, and the roof really looks like you're on top of your game =)
farmhandscompanion By the way, how long did you let the wall boards sit? I notice a change in the trees from the first of the video to when you are putting up the boards.
THANKS so much! As I said before watching your videos is better than a rock concert!
I know these videos are very old, how ever I do enjoy them. Think you so very much in your way of teaching the young about working on the farm.
Looks perfectly ornamental to me. You outdid yourself. Love the animation and soundtrack.
It seems everyone wants to be you when we grow up... LOL! The barn is wonderful and your videos always make me smile. Have a Blessed Day!
Fancy seeing you her, Mel. ;)
Love this guy!
MotherOfManyHorses Yup! Long time between videos, but well worth the wait. :D
One Woman & Two Acres I want to be a farmer when I grow up. Been sayin' that for 40 some odd years.
You, too!? LOL!
Your carpentry skills are very good but your video making skills are awesome. Thank you so much for the videos can't wait to see the next one.
I love your videos. You are a fantastic teacher and story teller. I have enjoyed every video you have put out. May the Good Lord keep you safe so you can keep teaching us.
It's beautiful! Exciting to see the walls go up. And the floor's looking good too. Wish we had flat rocks around here.
Love the videos. I hope to get my own piece of land and do the same thing myself someday. Good to see videos showing how to do things the simple way, not using the newest power tools. Keep up the good work, and hope to see more videos soon
K Lewis Thanks so much, K Lewis.
Probably another 10 years or so and even my few power tools will be antiques.
So glad you're enjoyin' the show!

You win my Oscar. So clear, so funny, so sharing of your values, so professional. I don't know why you did it but thanks.

Me, you and Wranglestar might really wreak some big time havoc on your homestead!

Funny how (when roofing) you can be on top of your game...then off of it just that quick.
