Damn... I thought that was a printed cross on a mass produced surcoat (mostly because of just how white the white is).
Nice work. You really should show that thing off up close in your next armour showing.

    Quite beautiful indeed.
As i'm making my kit of plate armor, i wanted to know your opinion about the best kind of "over-clothing" that would let the plates shine while covering the back. Would a cape be practical ? (How does hanging cloths feel in fight ?)

I'm not certain. A short tabbard would be most historical. Surcoats feel great in combat. Wouldn't wear a cloak though. Not sure if capes were worn with plate..

Erh brigandines are covered in cloth, that's not great. I will follow the surcoat tutorial, at least i will be able to paint on it ;)

I'm pretty sure I've seen old drawings of plated armor worn with a cape.
if you do get a cape, make sure its only between your shoulders and doesnt overlap you arms or you can throw it off by unhinging something for example. Otherwise it might get quite annoying

Do you know which cross the the templars used on their surcoats in the crusades? I see that theres pictures and manuscripts of them wearing the latin cross, some with the greek cross on the right side of their surcoat or gambeson, and then their more common templar cross in the middle of their surcoat.

I wanted to know the exact same thing, and I think that you could probably wear any cross form you like. I saw a church window painting with a templar who wore a latin cross, but I also saw drawings were the cross looked like a maltese one. I gues as long as its red on white, you will be recogneised as a templar. Just take advanteg of the fact the other people probably dont know it either.😉 I' ve also read that they adopted the Cross of Jerusalem in 1146, but i dont really like it, and i sonehow cant make a picture in my head of a templar with that cross.

Anyone have recommendations on the best place to get medieval clothing (1150-1335AD) for men (English), women (Iberian) and children that also doesn't look out of place in the modern world?
I was thinking that footwear like the following could suit (whilst not necessarily being perfect)
Men: Sandals, Espadrilles, Ropes Sandals, Empire Sandals, Leather Thongs, Menorcan Sandals, Gladiator Sandals, Clogs, Monk Strap, Moccasins, Woven Sandals, Suede Loafer, Chukka Boots, Chelsea boots, Plimsolls, Cuban Heel Chelsea Boots, Chukka Desert Boot, Driving Shoes,
Women: Strappy Tie-up Sandals, Knotted Suede Toe Post Sandal, Cross Strap flat sandals, Raffia double strap slide sandals, woven leather tie leg sandal, Mules, Clogs, Over the Knee Boots, Ballet Flats, Lace Up Knee High Boots, Stirrup Boots, Slouch Boot, Desert Lace Up Shoes, Cuban heel western Chelsea boot with buckle detail.
Likewise, Quilted Clothing (like Quilted Sweatshirt, Quilted Puffer Coat, Quilted Coat, Quilted Tracksuit Pants, Quilted Tracksuit Top, Quilted Jumper) could suffice for Civilian Gambeson.
I’m also thinking that Tunics (Knee, Cocktail, Midi or Maxi Length), Leggings, Tights, Long Sleeved V Neck Shirt, Tank Top, Henley Shirt, Track Pants, Hoodie, T-Shirt with Notch Neck, Driving Gloves, Suede Gloves, Leather Gloves could be used.
    Correct me if I’m wrong.
