  • After years of putting up with rubbish Presta Tubeless Valves I might have found the answer to all of my problems with Reserve's Fillmore Valve.

I just use normal valves, haven’t had any issues. Maybe I’m lucky?

Stick with them if you have no problems... just have these babies in the back of your mind in case you do.

    Bonkers expensive Jase

Yes but they work and have a liftime warranty.

@@jaselikesbikes I don’t think I could bring myself to spend that on a valve. Unless the warranty is no questions asked.

Stay away from these valves. They work until they don't. The filless valves will clog and you have to take your tire off to unclog them or service them.
At least with a normal presta valve, you can unscrew the top and clear it. At least they have a full warranty on it so they will give you a full refund after you are fed up with it. Try the ethirteen valves if you are looking for something different.

These valves look interesting too. Looks like they only go up to 31mm in length though.

I used them for over a year and they never clog up on me yet, not even with thick Stans race sealant.

Ever heard of Schrader valves? There's a reason why just about every other vehicle (and forks/shocks) uses them. Inexpensive, strong, and excellent air/sealant flow. Cores are cheap, and it's easy to carry spares. Just drill out your rim to 21/64 in or 8mm. Carbon rims need not apply.

Yes, not as easy to get. I wonder why?

@@jaselikesbikes , it's very easy to get them here in the US. Stan's makes a good quality version, and there's numerous tubeless Schrader valves available on Amazon. That said, you probably won't find extra long ones for aero rims. I just don't think that most Presta users have considered Schrader a viable option. My rule is that if an (aluminum) rim is i22 or wider, it gets a Schrader valve, tubes or tubeless.
